PROLOGUE : The hero and the villain.
Darkness...
"Absence of visible light in a space..." "Low luminosity condition in the visible spectrum...""Shadow, evil, confusion of ideas..." There are many concepts that describe darkness, and the truth is that I don't care about any of them.
What really matters to me is that I am surrounded by it.
I don't know how I got here or where I am, but everything is dark. I can't see anything no matter which way I turn my head, in fact I can't even see my own hands or my body.
Despite being in this situation, I don't feel scared or confused. The silence and cold around me give me a feeling of comfort that I only feel when I go to sleep.
-Zetta: Hello?
The sound of my voice echoes throughout the place, cutting through all the silence that was there.
- Hello?... Hello?... Hello?... Hello?...Hello?...Hello?
My voice begins to sound from different directions, some louder than others. As if a crowd were surrounding me and imitating me.
-Zetta: That's weird, but... I'M GREAT!
-...........
Nothing, unlike the first time my voice overshadowed the silence, this time it was the silence that overshadowed my voice.
-Zetta: If I had said something like "You're an idiot" it would have worked.
-You're an idiot... You're an idiot...You're an idiot... You're an idiot...You're an idiot... You're an idiot
-Zetta: But if I thought about it, I didn't say it-...!
*Shudder*
Suddenly the cold in my back intensifies and I feel as if I am forced to turn around.
As I do so, my eyes finally catch something in this darkness, a person. Someone I never expected to see again and whose very presence makes my heart flutter.
-Zetta: ¿Erik?
-...
The lack of response makes me uneasy and makes me feel a little afraid. The darkness consumes everything and prevents me from seeing what surrounds me, but the appearance of my friend I can see clearly.
He is standing on his back a few meters from me, his long brown hair tied in a ponytail moves with the non-existent wind of this place. He is taller than I remember, he is approximately 1.80 and he is wearing his typical red and black robe with boots of the same color, I clearly remember that those were his favorites.
-Zetta: I remember that although they were too big for you, those boots were your favorites, are they still?
-Erik:...
Zetta: Where have you been?
-Erik:...
Zetta: Have you... Been it okay?
-Erik:...
Nothing, no matter what I tell him, I don't get any answer. Even though I try to get closer, I can't get my feet to move. Nothing is holding me back, I don't feel any pressure in my body, but for some reason, my feet refuse to move.
-Erik: What am I?
-Zetta: A hero.
By pure reflex and not surprising that Erik suddenly spoke, my mouth answers his question as something already established.
-Erik:...*Crack*
Seconds after he responded, Erik's body shudders and his joints begin to twist and bend in ways that a human definitely can't do.
-Zetta: ¡ERIK!
*CRACK*
The unpleasant crunch of his bones echoes throughout the place. The splattering blood is perfectly visible in the immense darkness and a nauseating smell reaches my nostrils.
The fear I felt transforms into an indescribable terror that invades my mind.
My friend's mangled body swells and turns into what appears to be a mass of flesh, blood, and bones. From which multiple arms, legs and torsos emerge.
What was once my friend is now a creature so frightening that it would make even adults cry with fear if it were to appear in their nightmares.
*SCREECH*
The mass of meat lets out a heart-rending screech and slowly approaches. Even though I couldn't see my body before, I knew it was there because I felt it. But now I can't feel it anymore, it's getting harder and harder for my head to process what's going on.
By the time I come to my senses, I'm already part of the great mass of flesh.

-Zetta: ¡AHH!
*Ring ring ring*
I look around desperately for what I know isn't there. My whole body is drenched in sweat and it's hard for me to breathe. To calm down, I focus on what's around me.
A fairly small room in which there is only a bed, a wardrobe and a small circular table next to the bathroom door.
-Zetta: Uff... uff... Ugh... Just a dream... ha ha ha
With a calmer mind, I let out a small self-comforting laugh. It's been a long time since I've had that dream and having it now makes me laugh a lot for some strange reason.
-Zetta: *Yawn* I should get ready to go to work.
I put my feet on the cold ground and slapped my face to take away the remaining laziness. When I was ready to get up, my gaze falls on black boots located next to the door.
-Zetta:...
And without thinking twice, he threw them out of the window on the side of my bed. I'm on the second floor, so I don't think there's much of a problem if it falls on someone, at most they'll think "new boots, today is my lucky day!"
Zetta: Well, today is going to be a big d-
*Blow to the head*
Zetta: Ah.. But what?!
Out of nowhere something hits my head and when I turn around I realize that it is one of the boots that I have just thrown out of the window.
-Zetta: How...?
-DO NOT THROW GARBAGE IN THE STREET!
-Zetta: Well, what does it matter, today is going to be a... huh, and the other boot?
*Blow to the head*
-Zetta: Ouch … Ouch... There it is
