Am I The Only Male Tenant Here?

Chapter 3: Chapter 3: Does she have any idea what effect she has on me?

After dinner, I finished all of the food on the table.

My stomach was filled to the brim, making me burp in satisfaction. The exhaustion from the move was also gone.

When Tomko saw all of the empty plates, she smiled in satisfaction, clearly happy that her hard work was appreciated, and I liked her food.

I noticed Tomoko doing the dishes. So, being the gentleman that I was, I tried to help with the dishes, but she stopped me.

"You just moved in. Sit and rest."

Still, I reached for a plate, and my hand brushed hers.

Rather than pull away, Tomoko left her hand there, waiting for a moment.

I felt her skin. Soft and smooth. So much warmer than the glass she was holding.

Tomoko's fingers slowly pulled back. "Sousuke, you don't have to be so polite. You will have to come to eat often in the future. It's not good to be so polite all the time. Just sit there and rest. You are tired after moving all day."

I obeyed and returned to the sofa, heart thudding in my chest. My hand still remembered that warmth. For some reason, I began to daydream about something soft...

System Notification:

[Warning: Lewd Thoughts Detected.]

[Purity Meter: 63%]

Shut up, system.

When Tomoko returned with fruit, her posture was a bit unnatural.

Hmm.. it was unusual but I didn't dwell on it further as she sat beside me on the narrow sofa. It dipped in the middle, making our thighs touch. Did she have any idea the effect her perfect body was having?

The sofa was actually a little large for two people.

Gently, I placed my hand on her thigh.

Yes, I decided to reach out and take the initiative. I wasn't sure why. Maybe it was stupid, or maybe it was genius? Either way, I moved ahead.

I'd never die knowing what could have been.

Tomoko quietly felt the touch of his palm and thought, 'Is this the palm of a young and energetic male college student? It's strong, rough, and a little flustered. I don't know how long it has been since I last felt this way. Hold your breath and savor it carefully, Tomoko.'

After dinner, the two of them were obviously no longer as reserved as when they first met in the afternoon. They chatted and laughed while enjoying the dessert.

"So, what are your plans for the future, Sosuke-kun?" she asked, her voice a little huskier than before.

"The transfer procedures have been completed, and I can report to the new school on Monday. During the weekend, I want to find a part-time job as soon as possible."

The cash I brought from home was only enough to cover the rent for the first three months, and I have to rely on myself for living expenses after that.

Although there are system rewards, I have heard about the prices in Tokyo, so finding a part-time job is a top priority.

"If you want a part-time job, you can ask Mrs. Kobayakawa. Maybe she can help you."

"Mrs. Kobayakawa?"

"Mrs. Kobayakawa is also a tenant here. She has lived here for a year. I heard that she moved to Tokyo alone after her divorce. She is now the manager of a convenience store, the one I mentioned to Sosuke this afternoon."

"Convenience stores will probably need part-time college students."

In Tokyo, convenience stores are definitely the first choice for college students to work part-time. It would be much more convenient if the store manager were your neighbor.

"Thank you, Tomoko-san. I'll go to the convenience store tomorrow to take a look."

But rather than accept my thanks, Tomoko puffed out her cheeks.

"While you're doing that," she said, "how about coming here every morning for breakfast? Unless you want me to go over there."

"No! I-I'd love to come here," I replied quickly. Maybe too quickly, judging by her amused smile.

"Good boy," she winked and shifted closer to me.

Shit, now our knees touched, too. I dared not move, because if I drew even the slightest attention to the tiny gap between us, this could end up on a most embarrassing note.

The gears in my head turned fast, and I casually talked with her, shifting our attention away from our contact.

We continued to talk until stars illuminated the night sky.

I didn't want to overstay my welcome, so I thanked her for her hospitality and returned to my room. I planned to take a shower before going to bed to wash off the dust of the day.

I pushed open the creaking bathroom door, turned on the shower, and let the warm water pour over my hair and flow down. A hot bath before bed is the best way to soothe fatigue.

I don't know how long I kept doing this, probably half an hour, maybe even longer.

After showering, I walked out of the bathroom, dried my body, and lay down on the bed with my whole body relaxed.

Concentrating on opening the system panel, the light blue screen appeared again.

[Assistance mission: Relieve Tomoko Matsumoto's loneliness during dinner. ]

[Task completed, reward 5000 yen. ]

[Target: Matsumoto Tomoko's favorability +4, reward: 4000 yen]

[Current target: Matsumoto Tomoko, favorability 75. ]

I was very satisfied earning so much money in just a day. Just like I had expected, Tokyo was indeed incomparable to the small fishing village in my hometown. The financial reward for accepting new tasks increased significantly after entering the city. I can only imagine how much I could gain from this.

Of course, the beauty-rescue system did not reward points; instead, it could guide me toward, or in this case, force me into a natural meeting, guiding me to places with more chances. What it didn't guarantee was that the women would be interested in me or be willing to do things with me.

Anyway, enough thinking about the system.

A smile formed on my lips as I thought about the warm, considerate, and gentle Tomko.

I must repay her in the future.

Meanwhile, after seeing Ginjo Sosuke off, Tomoko sat back on the soft sofa, gently sniffing the youthful scent left by the boy.

She leaned back and thought, 'Oh god, am I a pervert? He reminds me of my younger years. '

Thinking of her younger years, Tomko smiled, and a blush appeared on her face.

"This apartment was haunted by loneliness, but now with the appearance of Sousuke, it is starting to look livelier."
