Chapter 17: Chapter : The Heart
The aftermath of the attack left the estate in eerie silence, broken only by the distant howl of the wind. The walls were still painted with the remnants of battle—blood streaked across marble floors, lifeless bodies scattered like discarded dolls.
But none of that mattered to the triplets.
Their attention was solely on the trembling omega in Alexander's arms.
Roo's Room—After the Attack...
The air was thick with the scent of blood and the lingering metallic tang of violence. But it was nothing compared to the overpowering scent of the triplets—thick, dominant, smothering.
Roo's body tensed as Alexander's grip on him didn't loosen. If anything, it tightened.
"Too close."
His voice was low, barely above a whisper, but it carried a dangerous weight.
Alec wiped the blood from his hands, his golden eyes locked onto Roo. "They touched you." It wasn't a question. It was a statement. A deadly one.
Ace's smirk was nowhere to be seen. He was leaning against the doorway, arms crossed, eyes burning with something unrecognizable. "Should've ripped them apart slower."
Roo swallowed hard. His throat was dry, his body weak, but he still forced himself to speak. "I—"
He barely got the word out before Alexander's hand tilted his chin up, forcing their eyes to meet.
"You belong to us."
The words sent a shiver down Roo's spine. Not because of fear. No. It was something else. Something deeper.
His heartbeat quickened.
"You think you can be taken from us?" Alec's voice was smooth, deceptively calm.
Ace chuckled darkly. "Not a chance, little omega."
Roo's breathing was uneven. The weight of their gazes, the heat of their bodies, the sheer intensity radiating from them—it was suffocating.
"You're not leaving our sight again."
Alexander's declaration left no room for argument.
Roo felt caged. Surrounded. Claimed.
But even as his mind told him to protest, his body betrayed him—melting into Alexander's hold, unconsciously seeking warmth.
And the triplets noticed.
Alec smirked. Ace's eyes darkened.
Alexander let out a pleased growl.
Mine.
The unspoken claim was thick in the air, sinking into Roo's skin, branding him in ways words never could.
But as possessiveness tightened around him like an unbreakable chain—
Danger lurked just beyond the shadows.
Watching. Waiting.
Because this wasn't over.
Not even close.
Elsewhere—The Next Wave of Threat
Deep within the forest, a figure knelt before a hooded man. The stench of blood clung to the air.
"The first attempt failed."
A slow, deliberate hum echoed. "Expected."
The kneeling figure hesitated. "Then… what now?"
The hooded man finally lifted his head.
His lips curved into a cruel smile.
"We go for the heart."
