All Hokage in The Chat Group

Chapter 239: Chapter 239 A New Era of Exploration

The discussion in the chat group ended, and everyone returned to their respective worlds, focused on rapidly advancing their technological development.

In Ryan's World

Ryan stepped out of the Hokage office and went to the Technology Development Department. He was particularly invested in technological progress as the Hokage, perhaps more so than any other Hokage in the group. From the very beginning of his world's modernization efforts, Ryan had prioritized the rapid development of science and technology.

Despite his world being significantly younger in terms of technological advancement—nearly 30 years behind the worlds of the Sixth Hokage Kakashi and Naruto—Ryan's and Orochimaru's relentless focus on innovation had propelled his world far ahead in terms of technological advances.

As the saying goes, "The early bird catches the worm," and Ryan's commitment to being the first to act ensured that his world outpaced the others.

When Ryan arrived at the Technology Development Department, he was surprised to see Minato there.

"Minato? What are you doing here?" Ryan asked, clearly intrigued.

It was rare to find Minato in one place for long, let alone in the Technology Department. Since Naruto's birth, Minato had been incredibly busy.

As the Hokage's second-in-command, he was tasked with an overwhelming number of responsibilities. Between managing village affairs, supporting the ambitious spacecraft research project, and attending to his family—both wife and children—Minato barely had time to breathe.

Even Ryan, as Hokage, rarely saw Minato outside of official duties. Their interactions were typically limited to Minato using the Flying Thunder God Technique to deliver reports or urgent documents in a hurry.

But now, seeing Minato in the Technology Development Department, Ryan couldn't help but wonder if this was a rare moment of leisure for him.

When Minato saw Ryan approach, he greeted him with a respectful nod.

"Lord Hokage! You came at just the right time," Minato said, his tone a mix of enthusiasm and focus. "The machinery and logistics for our next batch of spaceships has been completed. I'm here today to run some tests myself. I'll accompany the spaceship into space to ensure there are no issues this time."

Hearing this, Ryan suddenly understood the situation. Despite the brief moment of calm, Minato was as busy as ever. Even this visit to the Technology Development Department wasn't for leisure—it was just another task in his long list of responsibilities.

Just then, Orochimaru and several other researchers emerged from the laboratory. The spaceship project was a significant undertaking, representing the culmination of years of hard work and dedication from the entire research team. Everyone present understood how important it was for this mission to succeed.

Failure wasn't an option—it would be a devastating blow to the morale of the researchers who had poured so much effort into this endeavor. The tension in the air was palpable as the team gathered around.

An iron door at the far end of the facility slowly began to open, revealing a massive spaceship. The vessel gleamed under the artificial lights, its sleek surface proudly embossed with the bold Hidden Leaf emblem.

"This," Orochimaru began, his voice laced with pride and anticipation, "is our modified spaceship. Based on the technology you brought it can use chakra as fuel."

Ryan's eyes widened as he took in the sight before him. Compared to the previous model he had seen, this spaceship was a significant improvement. The outer shell, crafted from superior materials, reflected a meticulous attention to detail. The internal structure, though not visible, had undergone major enhancements.

As he examined the spaceship, Ryan noticed several familiar components embedded in its design—materials he had personally brought back from the world of One Punch Man. A wave of satisfaction washed over him. The researchers hadn't let his efforts go to waste.

"They've made great strides," Ryan thought, a small smile tugging at his lips. "It's good to see these resources being put to such innovative use."

"If this test is successful," one of the researchers began with barely contained excitement, "it means our spaceship technology is finally fully mature! We can finally transverse outside Earth."

The room buzzed with anticipation as the researchers exchanged eager glances.

"Minato! We'll have to trouble you to pilot the spaceship for this test," Orochimaru said.

Minato, already prepared for the task, nodded without hesitation and stepped into the spacecraft.

Watching the scene unfold, Ryan couldn't suppress his curiosity. With a faint smile, he spoke up, his tone carrying both interest and authority.

"Is there room on board?" Ryan asked. "I'd like to join the test and see everything firsthand."

His words caught everyone off guard. Ryan's desire to experience the fruits of their technological progress was evident. He wanted to see for himself just how far Konoha's spaceship technology had come.

Flying into space on this advanced vessel intrigued him. Although he had ventured into space once before—during the battle on the moon—it had been a focused mission. This time, the journey felt different. There was an opportunity to observe and explore the vastness of space in a way he hadn't before.

The researchers exchanged surprised looks before one of them responded, still processing Ryan's unexpected request.

"I didn't expect Lord Hokage to want to join us personally," Tetsuya Kurogane said, his voice tinged with both admiration and concern. "Space on the ship is certainly sufficient, but…"

Tetsuya hesitated, his brow furrowing in worry.

"But if something dangerous happens," he continued, "it might not be the best idea. You're the Hokage, after all. What if something goes wrong?"

The room grew quieter as the weight of the scientist's concern settled over the group. While they admired Ryan's eagerness to participate, the thought of placing Konoha's leader in potential danger made them understandably uneasy.

The researchers knew that Minato possessed the Flying Thunder God Technique. Even in the worst-case scenario, he could teleport to safety in an instant. But Ryan? They weren't sure.

At that moment, Orochimaru stepped forward, his characteristic smirk in place.

"Of course, Lord Hokage!" he said smoothly. "These scientists are just overthinking things. Your strength surpasses what they can imagine."

Turning to the scientists, Orochimaru continued, his tone firm yet casual. "Don't worry. Lord Ryan's capabilities make this task far easier for him than it would be for Minato."

Minato nodded in agreement, his expression earnest. "That's right. Hokage-sama is much stronger than I am," Minato added quickly. "There's absolutely nothing to worry about. If I can handle it, Hokage-sama certainly can as well."

Faced with the reassurances of both Orochimaru and Minato, the scientists found themselves with no grounds to object. Reluctantly, they stepped aside, allowing Ryan and Minato to board the spaceship together.

For Ryan, there was no concern about his safety. Even before his current power reached its peak, he had ventured to the moon without issue. Now, he possessed abilities that rendered most dangers trivial. With the Huangquan Biliangsaka technique, he could traverse space at will.

Not to mention, the Saiyan blood running through his veins gave him unparalleled resilience. He could navigate the harshest conditions of space without assistance.

The spaceship, for Ryan, was less about necessity and more about curiosity. It was a chance to gauge the current level of Konoha's technological progress and witness the fruits of their labor firsthand.

As the countdown began, the anticipation in the air grew palpable.

With engines igniting, the spaceship roared to life, lifting off gracefully and piercing through the atmosphere.

The flames roared, propelling the spaceship into space. It shot out of the Earth's atmosphere in moments, entering the vast expanse of darkness. Outside, countless stars sparkled like scattered diamonds against the black canvas.

Minato observed the scene with satisfaction and turned to Ryan.

"Hokage-sama, this spaceship is a vast improvement over the last one," Minato remarked, his voice carrying a hint of relief. "The last time I was aboard, there was severe vibration. Sparks were flying in several places, and I honestly thought it was going to fail. Thankfully, the ship held together... but there was a moment I wasn't sure we'd make it." His words carried a hint of humor, though the memory of that dangerous flight still lingered in his mind. Perhaps that was the most dangerous moment of his life except sage mode training.

Ryan glanced around the ship's interior, taking in the sleek, refined design and the steady hum of machinery. As Minato had said, everything was far more stable this time. Gone were the unstable vibrations and flickering lights. The once erratic ship had transformed into something much more reliable—almost reassuringly so.

"It does appear to be far more refined," Ryan acknowledged, his sharp eyes scanning the room. He crossed his arms as he assessed the changes. "This level of stability suggests the technology is finally maturing. It's a good sign. The progress is palpable."

He paused, then added thoughtfully, "With this progress, we can start considering larger projects, like space exploration and development. Although, whether technological advancements will continue at this pace is another question entirely."

Minato nodded in agreement, a hopeful smile on his face.

"Indeed, the future looks bright!" he replied.
