Chapter 237: Chapter 237 Defeating a God Among Ninjas
The Gedo Statue suddenly appeared in front of Madara, shaking the entire underground cavern with the force of a massive earthquake. A deafening roar echoed across the land, and the surrounding mountains crumbled into rubble as the earth split apart.
Rising from the chaos, the Gedo Statue emerged, towering ominously. Uchiha Madara stood atop the colossal figure, his presence commanding and foreboding. His Rinnegan gleamed with power as he extended his hand.
"Summon the Ten Tails!" he declared.
A moment later, an overwhelming chakra erupted, shaking the entire cavern. The gargantuan shell of the Ten-Tails appeared, its massive body casting an enormous shadow over the land.
Madara's voice rang out with authority. "Ten-Tails, submit to my will!"
With a surge of energy, he absorbed the beast, taking full control. His transformation was instantaneous and awe-inspiring. At the age of seventy, his appearance had undergone a drastic change. His hair turned pure white, cascading like a river of light. He now wore bluish-white robes adorned with black tomoe patterns, and a black staff rested in his grasp.
"Six Paths: Sage Mode!" he announced, his voice echoing with power as his newfound abilities activated.
Madara threw back his head and laughed triumphantly. "Hahahaha! It worked! The ninja world will bow before me!"
His arrogance and confidence were unmistakable as he proclaimed his dominance. Nearby, Black Zetsu watched quietly from the shadows, his expression unreadable.
"The chakra of this form is somewhat weaker than its peak," Black Zetsu mused to himself. "This Ten Tails isn't as powerful as before."
Still, compared to their grand plan, Madara's strength was more than sufficient. With the Six Paths Sage Mode activated, he remained leagues above ordinary ninjas.
The overwhelming chakra and the earth-shattering noise caught the attention of everyone nearby. Ninjas from all directions rushed to witness the source of the commotion, their faces filled with shock and disbelief.
Uchiha Madara needed only to glance at someone in front of him to overpower them with ease. Without hesitation, he moved directly toward Konoha, his intentions clear and devastating.
The moment the situation unfolded, Tobirama sensed the huge chakra coming towards Konoha. His eyes widened in surprise before his expression turned grim. Without wasting time, he grabbed a stack of scrolls and tucked them into his robes.
"Sensei it's bad news!" panicked Kagami shouted as they burst into the Hokage's office, their voices filled with alarm.
Tobirama was already preparing for battle. He waved them off with calm authority. "I know. Evacuate the civilians immediately and ensure their safety. Everyone else, stand down!"
He turned sharply, his voice steely. "I'll handle that idiot myself. Brother should have let me kill him when we had the chance."
As soon as the words left his mouth, Tobirama vanished from sight using the Flying Thunder God Technique.
In an instant, he reappeared directly in front of Uchiha Madara, his presence unwavering.
Madara regarded Tobirama with a condescending smirk. "Tobirama? What are you doing here? You should have run away." he sneered.
"If it were your brother, perhaps he could pose a slight challenge," Madara continued arrogantly. "But you? Even if you gathered the entire world's strength, you wouldn't be my match. Surrender while you still can."
Tobirama remained expressionless, his resolve unshaken. Without saying a word, he pulled out several scrolls and hurled them onto the battlefield.
In a flash, numerous Tobirama clones materialized around the area, encircling Madara.
Madara scoffed dismissively, his tone dripping with disdain. "Shadow Clone Technique? Is this really your plan? Such tricks are meaningless against my eyes!"
With that, Madara launched a direct assault, confident in his superiority. However, what happened next was something he hadn't anticipated at all.
The Tobirama in front of Uchiha Madara vanished from sight, effortlessly dodging his powerful strike. Almost instantly, multiple Tobiramas reappeared, each unleashing a different type of attack—fire, lightning, rushing torrents of water. Elements clashed and converged, creating a chaotic storm of destruction.
Madara scoffed, his expression unmoved. "Ridiculous," he sneered. "Ninjutsu is meaningless against me."
Confident in his invulnerability, Uchiha Madara didn't even bother to evade. To him, these attacks were insignificant, mere tricks that couldn't harm someone of his caliber.
But then, something surprising happened.
The attacks struck Madara directly, bypassing his defenses entirely. He coughed up blood as the force of the blows sent him hurtling through the air. Landing heavily, he struggled to process what had just occurred, his face a mask of disbelief.
"What... what's going on?" he stammered, his voice tinged with shock. "I should be immune to these attacks! This is just ordinary chakra-based ninjutsu!"
But as Madara activated his Sharingan to analyze the situation, he noticed something strange. The Tobiramas launching the attacks had no visible chakra flow. The energy fueling their techniques was entirely foreign, unrecognizable even to his Sharingan. Whatever it was it wasn't chakra.
"What is this!? This isn't Senjutsu." Madara muttered, his voice shaking with an uncharacteristic mix of confusion and fear. He picked himself up off the ground, his once-arrogant demeanor replaced with cautious vigilance.
Opposite him, Tobirama stood calmly, an almost leisurely expression on his face. He made no effort to explain the truth behind his techniques, letting the mystery unsettle Madara further.
The clones that appeared to be ordinary Shadow Clones weren't using conventional ninjutsu at all. Instead, they wielded an array of abilities Tobirama had acquired from other worlds, each one designed to bypass even Madara's defenses.
The battle had shifted, and for the first time, Madara felt a twinge of unease.
For example, in the One Piece world, there are demons, Devil Fruit abilities, and Haki. In the Shinigami world, there is Zanpakutō. Then, in the world of One Punch Man, there are telekinesis, power of desire, and technological abilities.
Six Paths Sage Mode, while powerful, has no real defense against such completely different power systems. Had Uchiha Madara been more serious earlier, he wouldn't have found himself in such a difficult situation.
Madara's downfall came from his lack of attention to his opponent. He underestimated Tobirama and paid the price for it.
Tobirama kept up the relentless assault, unleashing a variety of colorful Eight Gates techniques and abilities that hit Madara one after another. Madara, still not fighting seriously, never expected the onslaught to be this overwhelming.
He had always thought of himself as invincible, but now he was faced with a barrage of abilities from different worlds—abilities he had no way to defend against.
Particularly certain Kido and Devil Fruit abilities were wreaking havoc, their complex and unconventional rules catching him off guard.
In a one-on-one battle, Madara's combat intelligence would have easily allowed him to decipher his opponent's moves and find their weaknesses. But now, with so many opponents attacking simultaneously, each using different powers, he was unable to keep up. It was embarrassing.
Amidst such a chaotic assault, Tobirama couldn't even unleash his ultimate techniques. There were simply too many enemies. Every time he tried to launch an attack, it was instantly interrupted.
It was infuriating. Frustrating. After such a suffocating battle, Uchiha Madara, gravely wounded, was finally sealed. Tobirama calmly held the scroll that sealed Uchiha Madara.
"It's over," he said with quiet confidence.
To be honest, even he hadn't expected the outcome to be this decisive. The combined intensity of dozens of Eight Gates techniques, along with the overwhelming variety of superpowers, had proved far beyond the capabilities of an ordinary opponent.
As for Uchiha Madara, his lack of preparation and failure to adapt prevented him from achieving victory. He never even had the chance to unleash his full power. In the end, he was defeated in a manner that left him humiliated.
Black Zetsu, meanwhile, had seized the opportunity to flee. From a safe distance, he now observed Madara's misfortune, his thoughts heavy with frustration.
"Why are these Uchiha become useless when they awaken Rinnegan... Indra... Now Madara. Looks like I'll need to regroup and find someone else," Black Zetsu muttered, his voice filled with resignation.
