All Class Tamer

Chapter 14: Chapter 13 – Return and Reunion

In the morning, my girls and I began preparing to escort the newlyweds back to Astarte Kingdom. I tried to mount a horse, but was quickly stopped.

"There's no need for that," a royal maid told me politely. "Princess Aurora has arranged a carriage for you."

We boarded the carriage and departed from Lavela Kingdom. Ion rode on horseback with his team, while both kings, queen, and the royal mistresses had their own separate carriages.

As we traveled, my mind drifted to the crimson stone I picked up during Luna's training. On the morning of the wedding, it vanished—and despite searching, I never found it again. I gave up looking.

The pace quickened on the King's orders. Reshia stood up inside the carriage out of curiosity, but in her usual clumsy way, she tripped and landed on my lap. Her face turned toward mine—so close our lips nearly touched—before Luna distracted us by reading her newly gifted grimoire.

Meanwhile, Aisha and Yuki were competing for my arms. I could feel my hands squished between their soft chests. If this kept up, I might turn permanently red.

Suddenly, my girls sensed something ahead. I peeked out the window and instantly recognized the aura.

"Dragon Magic?" I whispered. "Is that GuildMaster Baran?"

The carriage halted. Ahead of us, a monster fought against another monster—one seemingly protecting us. A cloaked figure commanded it. The fierce battle left the royals in shock.

"I apologize, Your Highness," the cloaked man said. "A dungeon break has occurred."

GuildMaster Baran was sent flying, his body crashing past the royal carriage.

"BARAN! End this NOW!" King Kendrick bellowed.

"Yes, Your Highness!" Baran called back as he tumbled. "Tamer!"

Tamer?

I was stunned—Baran called that cloaked figure a tamer. A wyvern roared above us, unleashing a devastating breath attack. I turned to Aisha, searching for her reaction. But her expression remained unreadable.

Relieved, I muttered, "Not even a challenge for you, huh?"

As the last monster remained, Baran and the cloaked tamer clashed with it again and again. Though resilient, the monster finally began to weaken. Then, out of nowhere—

Aisha jumped down from the carriage, placing herself between the monster and the attackers.

Her expression showed rare worry. I stepped out from the carriage and walked closer to her.

"I don't want to fight over you, Master," she said, gently stroking the monster's fur.

"Aisha—" I began, but Yuki rushed to her side.

"I wasn't trying to steal Master from you," Yuki said softly, patting Aisha's head. "I was just teasing you."

"Really?" Aisha asked.

"I always wanted to know what having siblings felt like," Yuki said, gently pulling Aisha into a warm hug.

"Then… can I be the one to pick our next companion for Master?" Aisha asked.

"Why not? You're his first tame, right?" Yuki replied. "We fight for his attention—not with each other."

Aisha turned to me, offering the monster with both hands. "Master, this Magmahide Tusk is for you."

I suddenly realized—Aisha and Yuki weren't enemies. They were like me and Ion when we were ten. Rivals, but bonded. Bonded to be Rivals.

"Hurry up, Ares!" Desmond shouted.

Without hesitation, I tamed the beast. A Rank-A Magmahide Tusk. I named her Hilda.

We resumed our journey. Baran and the mysterious tamer flew above us on the wyvern. Because of the delay, we arrived at Mavela's gates by dusk.

As the guards spotted us, the bells chimed. The crowd erupted in cheers for the newlyweds. Then, they suddenly fell silent as the wyvern landed.

"Don't worry, folks! I'm not here to steal the spotlight!" the tamer joked.

My mother rushed through the crowd and pulled me into a tight hug.

"I missed you!" she said, then turned to the mysterious tamer—and froze.

"Husband?! You came home!" she cried.

Wait… did she say husband?

"Amanda?" the tamer blinked. "Wait... is this my son?"

"You missed eighteen years of his life!" she said, half-crying. "Why did your friend say you were missing!?"

"Missing?" he asked, confused. "No! I was searching for something..."

"Mom?" I stepped in. "Is this... my father?"

"Yes, Ares. He's your father," she confirmed.

"I'm... Serth. Serth Meledric," he introduced himself.

I didn't know how to feel. He'd been gone for 18 years. Anger, frustration, sadness—all bubbled up inside me.

"Why did you abandon her?" I asked. My emotions flared with elemental energy.

"I wasn't trying to!" he said. "I was solving a problem."

He explained: he had rescued my mom from a slave merchant, then took her to Uruste Village—home to a rare Nature Fae. One night, while they were camping, an unknown magic overwhelmed them both. A blessing? A curse? Even he doesn't know. But that was the night I was conceived.

"The next morning, I bought her a house and gave her my surname," he said softly. "If I'd known she was pregnant... I never would've left."

My anger started to fade. I listened quietly. Then I shared my story—about being a Rank-E Tamer with zero stats, and how I'd gained a harem of loyal companions.

He was stunned to see my girls. In turn, he shared tales of his beast taming adventures and wyvern training. I noticed Baran was gone—possibly to avoid drawing attention.

The royals and newlyweds returned to the palace. The rest of us stayed behind to celebrate. Aisha visited a meat stall, Reshia following close behind. Luna nibbled something sweet, her tail wagging with joy. Yuki sipped her juice with a regal air. Hilda munched on a giant pumpkin like it was candy.

I chuckled and took a sip of my drink—then choked on the taste.

"Beer?" I gasped.

Father laughed. "That's your first drink, huh?"

My mother narrowed her eyes at him while sipping juice.

Ion sat alone until Kira and Kana joined him. I spotted Aula talking with Baran, but couldn't hear their conversation.

That night, we returned home—my parents, myself, and my girls. My bed was too small for six people, so we all just collapsed on the floor together.

Then... it happened—the same thing that happened between my parents long ago.

That night, I woke up to find the girls restless, whispering strange things in their sleep—eyes glowing faintly. A strange magic pulsed in the room.

"Order Realize," I whispered, breaking the enchantment before things went too far.

"Sorry… I'm not ready yet," I whispered, stroking Aisha's hair.

First, the God of Envy—Dengka. Now, perhaps… the Goddess of Love, Cynthia?

The Seven Heavenly Gods grimoire calls them "Good Gods," but Ion knows them as Evil.

I need to find the truth behind these gods. What do they truly want?
