Agnisotra: Origin Tails

We arrived at the 4th floor at 23:56. Now here is the problem in 34 minutes the next move will happen. Who knows where we will end up if that happens. Nothing might happen to us or we can get moved to floor 1. Gregory is only going to correct the labyrinth if any cube in the core 8 gets moved. Preferably we solve this and get back to the core 8 before 00:30, Woofus was found in a cube at the very corner of floor 4.

I dragged Raishin to Woofus and we got to a large room. I collected the woofer and shifted my focus to our new problem. It was a bigger version of the monster that invaded our room earlier today. It was bulky, had red veins or stripes and a lot of tentacles. It also had some sort of tentacle mustache and red eyes.

A bigger version of the pain-in-the-ass monster. I decided to call it The Breathless. It was lacking a nose. It’s a good thing that Crissy didn’t come with us. Raishin shot forward and blasted it to pieces. I would like to say he one shot it but there was a lot of foam everywhere. This led me to believe that it escaped. I guess at this point we’re so overpowered that monsters just run from us. Are we the real monsters here? Die as a normal person or live long enough to become the monster yourself? Aren’t we too young for that to apply? Raishin seems frustrated that the monster escaped but we don’t have time for this bullshit.

– Stop throwing a tantrum, we need to get back before the labyrinth changes, can you bring us back at full speed?- - Ugh, this thing is so annoying, let’s get out of here yeah, I’ve had it with this place and keep Woofus close, I don’t want to deal with his bullshit again!-

I made a frost chain and kept Woofus on it as Raishin dragged us back. I had to direct him to a tube that we could take to floor 3 because he was still subjected to [Gravity]. We arrived at floor 3 and made it into the core 8 when 00:30 hit. We got to the room where we had our hideout but we saw 2 Breathless banging on the door.

So they also appear when there is no water, do you think we can kill them now?

A breathless turned into foam and fled when I froze the other one. This one couldn’t turn into foam. Raishin dropped a [Nova Blast] on it and it actually seemed like it died. It left a puddle of blue blood behind.

Well, it’s harder to do underwater because I might block the corridors when I freeze things underwater.

We got inside. Crissy was shivering in a corner and ran at me and dove into my tails when she saw me. Raishin went to brag to Hayley. Crissy seemed to have completely forgotten about Woofus.

Hey Crissy, easy on the tails, I got your dog, he is wet though and needs a bath, he stinks.

“Haroldus! Bad dog! Stop causing so much trouble” Crissy might as well be scolding a wall. Nothing seemed to get into the head of this dog. It had a look on its face that suggested the absence of intelligence.

We beat one Breathless, unfortunately there are more, we also found a big one.

That’s the name we decided on, they can be defeated if I freeze them otherwise, they will just run away.

“How reliable!” Raishin and her started to get a bit touchy.

Ugh, get a room, talking about rooms it’s time to sleep, we have to bust out of this place tomorrow. I froze the doors shut and made a separate room.

If you guys are going to act disgusting, take that room, you can stay here if you’re going to behave.

“Hey, Agnis, I don’t want to ask for a lot not after you saved Haroldus and did all you did but we’ve been walking around in bikini’s for 2 days now and without shower nonetheless.” Crissy looked at her red bikini.

Hmm, I guess you can’t refresh yourself with water magic or leyline every morning, alright I will repurpose that room into a bathroom. I will leave some clothes behind in it, just pick whatever is your size and fits.

Hmm, right this sounds bad. I had to buy a large amount of clothing for 2 reasons, one to fix wardrobe malfunctions and 2 because I had a reliable source that told me that clothing will be quite expensive in the future.

And Crissy’s bikini cost her 10 silver! Finding nice clothes that fit us was always hard and expensive but these prices are insane! My poor wallet…”

“Yeah, something happened in Jarn Kingdom, and especially women's clothing that accommodates big busts got hit the hardest.”

I started to feel uncomfortable, what would they do if they discovered that this is partly my fault?

Right, I will repurpose that room into a place where you can take a relaxing bath, do your girl stuff, have privacy, and nerd out on clothes.

“Do you have makeup by any chance?” Hayley and Crissy were getting needlessly close.

Greg, Raishin, and I lined up and took a good look at the 2 chicks.

I went into the room and froze a changing room and a bathtub with a shower. I will have to route water to them, they will have to tell me to make it hotter or colder though. What else? I don’t think they will appreciate me dumping the clothes on a pile. What do women like? I have no clue, the best I can do is keep them cool in a wardrobe. Hmm, this wardrobe will become enormous then. This is a problem.

“How is it going? And uhm, I came to thank you. I know it was selfish to keep asking to save Haroldus, the amount of times you had to risk your life…” Crissy came in and gave an awkward apology.

Eh, it’s fine, just don’t make me run out of patience, hey, the number of clothes I have won’t fit in this place, also the bath might be a problem because I will have to heat up the water so you will have to yell if you want it to be warmer. I have a high heat resistance so I don’t have a good grasp on what will be too hot and cold.

“You are not upset with me?”

Uhh, no

“Then why are you acting so cold?”

Uh, that’s just how I am. Shall I just leave the clothes on a pile?

“You also did this when Hayley went after you, is it because we aren’t wearing make up?”

I sighed. I guess I have to tell her the same thing I told Hayley.

Raishin and Hayley, you assholes! Don’t think I can’t see you, get your asses in here, maybe drag Greg too so I don’t have to keep repeating myself!

“While Haroldus is normally quite sweet it was stressful and annoying to continue to save him. I will keep a better eye on him!”

While it’s fine right now but after weeks, months or years that’s how we are going to feel about you as a human. We get into situations where having 1 life is a certain way to die and stay dead. If this room floods now we all will die, the difference is that while you 2 will be permanently dead, we will only lose 1 life and either Greg, Raishin or I will be able to recover and prevent us from losing more lives. This is the state we will constantly be in and that is ignoring the fact that assassins and gods have their crosshairs on us. If you stick with us there is a very high likelihood you will be dead in 5 years.

I paused to let that sink in. It also seemed to hit Raishin.

Look we have nothing against you two but it’s better if you two find a human or a mortal, fall in love with them share your life with them, and grow old together. Sticking to us will most likely put both you as mortals and us as immortals in an early grave. I’m not stopping you from flirting with us but realize that there is no future in a romantic sense. There are some things that I have to tell you Raishin and Greg but now is not the time.

I looked at Crissy and Hayley. Crissy was tearing up and Hayley was focusing on what I was saying.

So, I’m going to be very clear. I don’t dislike or hate any of you, just know that any pursuit will fall on a dead end because a dead end is better than both of us being dead. Now Raishin might think differently in this but this is my stance.

To add on that, combat wise you will be a liability. I don’t say this to degrade any of you but each of us could easily destroy a city when push comes to shove, it is very possible that you might get hurt or die getting hit by crossfire. You two might not know this but these 2 are holding back a lot. I don’t even think it’s possible to emphasize how much they’re holding back. We know you mean well but nobody benefits from the relationships that you seek.

Hayley sat down and took a deep sigh. Crissy wanted to find comfort in my tails but was reluctant, I gestured that it was fine. The mood was heavy. Greg didn’t say anything anymore and seemed to be deep in thought, even Raishin was deep in thought. I had Crissy in my tails. Woofus was chained to a table that I had frozen so he couldn’t run away.

I wanted to ask on how to fix this room for them but I decided that now might be not the time to ask this.

Raishin got up. Agnis is right, you two are very hot and have big boobs but I don’t want you two to die because I couldn’t control myself.

Crissy slapped her cheeks, stomped, and yelled while she flared up and calmed down soon after.

“That felt good, I feel better now, thank you. I will do my best to not be a burden, Hayley I need your help with this, show us what you’ve got and Greg? Can you kick Raishin out the room?” Ok,

Greg dragged Raishin out.

“Not so fast mister, we need our clothes so we need to see what you got. After that we will let you go.” Crissy blocked the door so that I couldn’t pass.

But there’s a mountain of them…

“Guess that means you will be here for a while, since any pursuit will end in a dead end at least let me have this as a date!”

I should have gone full asshole mode on this explanation…

I got freed 2 hours later. Each of them only managed to find only 2 sets of clothing they liked. Only 2 sets out of a mountain… there is a limit to being picky.

So… tired… finally free!

“Agnis, can you fix our bath, please? It’s a bit too hot!” Chrissy walked out wrapped in a bath towel and dragged me inside.

“But you’re not good at hitting the perfect temperature!”

What do you mean! I made it 1 degree hotter and it went from too cold to too hot for you! You chicks are unreasonable!

I woke up the next morning at 10:48. Quite late but I also went to sleep late. I looked over at the chicks that were sleeping soundly in the pajamas they had chosen out. They seemed quite relaxed. I guess they had a great and relaxing time at my expense. Maybe this was for the better because today might be stressful. I looked over to where Woofus was originally chained to but he was gone. I know how this dumbass keeps escaping but I can’t do much to it.

I decided to get him back before the rest would wake up but I got hit by a dizzy spell and saw double. I sat on the ground. Did I overdo it? I don’t think so. While I can get dizzy I should be immune to most forms of vision impairments and seeing double is one of them. I inspected myself but I couldn’t find anything. The dizziness was gone. I stood up and waited for a bit. Nothing happened. Maybe it’s nothing.

I put an illusion on the room. If they wake up, they won’t know that I’m gone. I made an [Air Ball] and went into the labyrinth. I sent out shadow clones and started looking for Woofus. I encountered some frost monsters and turned them into blood mist and also found some Breathless but they all fled. Their number seemed to increase. Most underwater monsters I encountered were unimpressive.

Suddenly something formed out of gathering bubbles, four Breathless appeared and shot lasers at me. I made a [Frost Mirror] and reflected it while simultaneously freezing them. They got hit by their own laser and splattered blue blood everywhere. These assholes think they can gank me with lasers. It probably will have a high success rate. 2 of my clones got ganked and finished off by lasers. What a pain in the ass.

Teleporting in with 3 or 4 of them and opening with lasers is quite mean. What if this is what happened to the city? What if an army of Breathless charged up lasers and ganked them? Not much you can do against that. I froze the area around me because I saw bubbles gathering and blasted them with lightning. I saw blue blood splatter everywhere. This is going to suck when we are going for the escape. I sent out more shadow clones because 5 had died.

A clone found Woofus stuck on something that looked like coral after 20 minutes. I made a bigger bubble that covered both of us.

Look I know you want to go on adventures but if you keep this up, I will have to send you back. You are a pain in the ass, to be honest, why can’t you act like the others of your race?

Woofus conveyed some retarded statements.

Yes, you have more freedom now, but that doesn’t mean you can be an ass and make Crissy worry or be a pain in the ass and have us retrieve you. This is your last chance; you are going back if I catch you doing anything stupid.

Woofus barked and gave me a look that was completely devoid of intelligence. I don’t think he understood a word of what I just said. I blasted the coral and got him free and headed back to our hideout. I returned and everyone was awake except Raishin. I put Woofus on an ice chain and made the illusion match his movements and I went to where my illusion was pretending to be sleeping and I dispelled the illusion.

Oof, is it already this late? What are you guys up to?

Crissy was wearing a red blouse and showing off some cleavage and wore blue jeans. Hayley was wearing a very risqué top and hot pants.

I don’t get you Hayley, you got out of a bikini to almost wear the same amount of fabric…

“I like to show off my assets!” She took some super model poses and winked at Raishin.

“I do have to say these clothes seem like they fit like a glove and they are super comfy.” Crissy inspected her attire. It seemed she was unable to believe it’s quality.

Jarn technology at its finest!

“Wait, this is from Jarn? This must have cost a fortune! Let me reimburse you!”

Uhh no need those clothes are now yours I have no need for women’s clothing. Although since it was useful just now it might… Right… now what’s the plan, Greg!

The plan is to relax till 00:30.

Something knocked on the door.

Coming! Who ordered? Did you order Agnis?

I pounced on Raishin who wanted to open the door.

We are still in the labyrinth remember? Stop being an idiot!

“Can… can I hold your tails?” Crissy started to shiver.

Sure.

I froze a cage around Woofus who escaped from his leash.

Woofus, I swear, I’m so close to kicking your ass, behave!

“Haroldus! Behave yourself!” Crissy’s voice sounded weak so even if Woofus wasn’t an asshole or an idiot he might not have listened.

The banging became louder and Crissy tried to get her fear under control but she was struggling. Waiting till they stop might be a bad idea. I’m unsure if Crissy will be ok if I go out this room now. Raishin went to the door but Greg stopped him.

These feel different. Maybe it’s best… I saw bubbles form in the room.

Oh, hell no!

I froze the bubbles and blasted them with [Lightningbolt]. I created a [Frost cloak] on everyone to protect them from the blue blood splatter. I covered Crissy completely with my tails so she didn’t see what happened.

Bad news guys, these guys can come in here now and they will gank us with lasers!

What in Hourai’s name does ‘gank’ mean?

They will try getting cheap shots in on us by sneak attacking with a small or big group. We need to get out of here!

Raishin made an [Air ball] around us. I left a shadow clone behind in stealth so that he could access the cube console on the pedestal when we needed it. Greg grabbed Woofus.

Guys, I think we have to go fast, I will count down and on 1 I will drop the frost walls and doors, grab you guys and get the fuck out of here.

“We will be fine right?”

Don’t worry Crissy, Greg has Woofus.

I froze more bubbles and Raishin blasted them.

3…2…1… I dropped the walls and dashed off after grabbing my buddies. I had made a magic version of [7th Waterfall]. It was so efficient it was hard to believe I made this myself.

Whenever I meet Azu I need to thank her for her research and the passive skill she gave me. I saw a multitude of bubbles appear around me but I was too fast for them. The other 6 clones that were part of the [7th Waterfall] would be scouting the area and reporting the correct path to take once we left the core 8.

Greg and I had sent shadow clones out but as long as we were in the core 8, we knew exactly where to go. This was because we had kept the core 8 in the same orientation since we got there and the clones had mapped out the route in them. We had to continue going around until it was time to escape.

These monsters suck.

Just make sure to rest when you’re getting tired Agnis.
