Chapter 3:
Chapter 3: Kneel and Apologize to My Husband:
Everyone turned toward the voice and saw a tall, stunning woman walking in slowly, swaying her hips like a catwalk model. She wore a tight black outfit, a scarf made of fox fur wrapped around her neck, and had a jaw-dropping figure—an ample chest, slender waist, and an otherworldly face.
She had a delicate nose, rosy lips, snow-white skin, and a perfectly shaped oval face. Her eyes sparkled with an ever-present charm, so alluring they felt like they could seduce anyone. She looked exactly like a seductive fox spirit.
But right now, this “fox spirit’s” beautiful face was cold as ice, and her enchanting eyes were burning with fury.
As she walked forward, an overwhelming aura spread out from her body, making it hard for those nearby to even breathe.
“Husband?”
“Who is her husband?”
“Humiliation?”
Could it be…
Everyone replayed her words in their minds, and all eyes quickly fell on Xia Feng.
Before this woman appeared, only the Mist Mountain Sect’s Grand Elder had been humiliating Xia Feng.
Xia Feng’s mother whispered, “Feng’er, when did you get such a beautiful wife? I didn’t even know!”
“Mother, I don’t know either…” Xia Feng was also dumbfounded. It wouldn’t be bad to have such a gorgeous woman as his wife, but the problem was—he didn’t even know her.
“Who are you, and which sect do you belong to?” the Grand Elder of Mist Mountain Sect stepped forward, shielding the Liu family from the overwhelming pressure. He looked at the woman and asked coldly.
“You were the one humiliating my husband?” the woman stood before him and asked icily.
Liu Shiyu then stepped out from behind the Grand Elder and said, “Senior, who is your husband, may I ask?”
The woman turned to look at Xia Feng. Her icy expression instantly softened into a warm, sweet smile, her eyes brimming with affection that could melt stone.
“Husband, I’m sorry I’m late. After I help you vent your anger, you can punish me however you want.”
Her delicate, sweet voice was enough to make anyone’s bones go soft.
What the—!
Xia Feng was really her husband?
And her tone, her expression… why did she sound like some obsessed fangirl?
Everyone was stunned.
Even Xia Feng’s parents were at a loss. When did their son get a wife? Why had they never heard of it?
Xia Feng was completely confused and asked, “Umm… Miss…”
“Call me wife,” the woman interrupted, pouting playfully and stomping her foot.
“Uh…” Xia Feng was speechless. He opened his mouth but stood there frozen for a long moment before continuing, “Are you sure you’re not mistaking me for someone else?”
“How could I possibly mistake my own husband?” she rolled her eyes at him, her body exuding an irresistible charm that made Xia Feng’s heart itch.
But… he really didn’t know her!
“Husband, was it that old man who insulted you just now?” she pointed at the Mist Mountain Sect’s Grand Elder.
The Grand Elder frowned slightly, a trace of anger flashing between his brows.
But he didn’t act impulsively. This woman’s aura was strong, and she was clearly very young. Until he figured out where she came from, he dared not act recklessly.
Liu Shiyu chuckled and said, “Senior, you must have mistaken him for someone else. That’s Xia Feng, the young city lord of Xingyu City. He’s sixteen and still hasn’t awakened any inner strength—just a recently rejected piece of trash. How could he possibly be your husband?”
“Senior?” the woman looked at Liu Shiyu and said coldly, “You’re Liu Shiyu? No wonder your eyes are blind. I’m around the same age as you, hardly a ‘senior.’ And you think you’re worthy of calling my husband trash? You’re the one who should’ve been dumped, not the other way around.”
“You—!” Liu Shiyu had always been the pride of Xingyu City. When had she ever been scolded like this? She was instantly furious.
The woman said coldly, “Kneel. Apologize to my husband. If he forgives you, fine. If not, then you can kneel until you die.”
“You want me to kneel? Apologize to that useless trash?” Liu Shiyu looked like she couldn’t believe what she’d heard. She was the disciple of the Mist Mountain Sect’s Grand Elder—a position of great honor. How could she possibly kneel to a mere young city lord, especially one who was useless?
Smack!
A sharp slap echoed through the restaurant. Liu Shiyu staggered and fell to the floor, a red handprint blooming on her cheek as blood dripped from the corner of her mouth.
“When I say kneel, you kneel. How dare you talk back?” the woman’s cold voice was laced with absolute dominance.
Gasps filled the room.
She didn’t give the Mist Mountain Sect’s Grand Elder any face at all—she had slapped his disciple right in front of him!
Even Xia Feng was stunned. But seeing Liu Shiyu in such a sorry state… it actually felt pretty good.
“Xiaoyu!” Liu Tianxiang and his wife rushed forward to help Liu Shiyu up, their faces full of concern.
Liu Shiyu clutched her cheek, glaring at the woman but not daring to speak. Instead, she turned to the Grand Elder and tearfully said, “Master, she clearly doesn’t respect Mist Mountain Sect at all. Please stand up for me.”
She knew the woman’s strength far exceeded hers—she hadn’t even seen how she got hit. Even if she was furious, she couldn’t challenge the woman directly.
“Don’t worry. No one dares bully a disciple of Mist Mountain Sect,” the Grand Elder said darkly, turning to the woman with a grim expression. “Miss, you’ve gone too far. She’s my sect’s disciple. Mist Mountain Sect may only be a mid-tier sect, but we won’t allow anyone to humiliate us.”
He emphasized the words “mid-tier sect” to make the woman back down.
Such strength at such a young age couldn’t have come from some small faction. He didn’t want to provoke a powerful enemy without reason.
“Mist Mountain Sect? Just a mid-tier sect, yet you dare act so arrogantly.” The woman sneered with contempt. If it hadn’t appeared in that realistic dream, she wouldn’t have even known this sect existed.
“Insolent!” the Grand Elder could no longer contain his anger. He shouted, and a terrifying aura surged forth, pressing down on the crowd. Many guests staggered backward just to breathe easier.
“Horrifying… I can’t even withstand his aura. As expected of a 9th stage Heaven Realm Martial Lord.”
“Yeah, I’m a 9th stage Heaven Realm Martial Master myself, but I feel like I couldn’t even last one move against him.”
“The Grand Elder of Mist Mountain Sect is enraged. That woman is finished.”
“Such a shame. She’s unbelievably beautiful, but it seems she has no brains. Offending Mist Mountain Sect for a useless man? She won’t even know how she died.”
The guests whispered among themselves, both shocked and full of pity.
Xia Feng frowned. This woman was defending him, but he didn’t want her to be dragged into this. He stepped forward and said, “Miss, this has nothing to do with you. There’s no need for this. Please, just leave.”
The woman turned her head and smiled at him—a smile that made everyone hold their breath.
She was breathtaking.
“You’re my husband. No one is allowed to insult you.”
She spoke the most domineering words in the gentlest tone.
Xia Feng opened his mouth but didn’t know what to say.
Having a wife so fierce and protective was great… but the problem was—he really didn’t know her!
