Traditional weddings in this family was… lively, to put things mildly.

The twilight deepened and Aditi stood at the altar, looking incredibly beautiful. She was embellished and radiant in her red dress and shimmering accessories. Her brothers stood beside her, pride and reluctance shining in their eyes.

Outside, the groom's procession began and many people came to watch. The procession started from his house, which wasn't very far. However, the path there was also lively with audiences curious to watch the excitement, music, and the moving band.

"Here comes the groom!" someone in the entourage yelled, making sure the streets knew Chris was getting married.

Chris looked dashing and sleek in his cream-colored traditional suit. Even if he lacked a leg, it did not discount his handsomeness.

They had no horses here, so he was riding the biggest broat they could find. It was just about the same height as a horse. Of course, to add to its aesthetic, they may have added a few accessories like a cool headgear and a nice horse blanket with dark colors.

He led a vibrant procession with his side of the 'family', which happened to comprise mostly of the soldiers who transferred with him.

His friends, specifically Mao and Luis, danced around him, with the band doing the same. They were dancing and singing, very much enjoying this type of wedding ceremony very much.

Even the audience couldn't help but move their bodies as they walked past, celebrating along with them. There were also a lot of aborigines watching the show, surprised because they had never seen such a wedding before.

When the procession entered the gates, the people outside stopped, but they clapped happily before finally dispersing, definitely discussing the latest wedding in the territory with gusto in restaurants, bars, and marketplaces.

Chris took a deep breath as he looked at the door.

It had begun!

When he arrived at the venue, the first thing he did was look for his future wife.

It seemed like time slowed as he did so, and he couldn't help but gasp at the beautiful sight that she made.

He stepped closer, eyes not leaving his future wife. Even with his staggered steps using his new wooden leg hidden under his pants, he looked very dashing and proud.

The officiate was Mathilda, as always, and she studied their traditions very well. She guided the ceremony accordingly, watching Raj place Aditi's hand on Chris'.

Her two older brothers sobbed, not forgetting to say a lot of dire warnings to Chris (not that they could do anything to him), and then proceeded to give a mountain of gifts to help in their starting a new family.

Seeing the gifts, the other soldiers couldn't help but chuckle.

"Is Chris eating soft rice?" Mao said, very amused. "HAHAHA"

"Well, he's handsome so he could."

"..."

Anyway, the couple took their vows, walking around a 'sacred fire', with each of their steps representing a promise.

The promises were to provide for each other, to nourish their bodies and their minds, and to walk together in prosperity. They promised to support each other in health, illness, and through all challenges. And so on.

With each step, the guests cheered and the atmosphere was electric with joy.

By the end, as per tradition, Chris placed a special headdress in her hair and a necklace around her neck.

The two's eyes met, bright and sparkling with the other's reflections.

They grinned. Finally married.

The wedding was lively, the reception even more so.

The setup was at its brightest now that the sun had slept. The reception area sparkled with twinkling fairy lights and an elegant table set up.

The aroma of delicious, flavorful food wafted through the air, inviting guests to go to them as if by seduction.

Speaking of cuisines, the brothers had founded a restaurant specializing in traditional cuisines of their culture. Although it had been greatly globalized, some ethnic cultures still remained to be enjoyed.

This made for a unique wedding, and would start a trend for the 'themed' weddings, particularly when it came to food.

The couple made their entrance, hand in hand, to a chorus of applause and cheers. Aditi swirled, her red dress flowing beautifully, while Chris beamed with pride.

At this, the groomsmen Mao jumped in. "LET'S GET THE PARTY STARTEEED!"

At his signal, the upbeat music exploded and the dance floor opened up.

It started with the couple's sweet and playful movements and soon the guests began to join in, forming a lively dance circle around them.

A whirlwind of joy and color formed around the newlyweds, with Mao and Luis hilariously making moves that were just silly.

"We should do this more often," Ansel said as he took his wife to dance. Winona grinned, coming with him. Of course, they were at the edge, lest she get hit by some enthusiastic bloke by accident.

Althea and Garan did not join the dance circle—neither of them were dancers— but they enjoyed watching for sure.

The babies though, were both extremely extroverted for some reason. Meatball, in fact, had long gone to socialize and dance with other kids somewhere.

"Mwamaamma!" Little Pepper mumbled as she squirmed in her lap. She was a bit calmer than Meatball because her activity was dependent on mood. Obviously, her current mood was to start socializing.

Althea giggled, gently poking at her baby's fat cheek. The baby laughed and puckered her lips, and Althea leaned down so the baby girl could kiss her cheeks.

Little Theo, dressed in a mini-version of the traditional garb, was smiling as he headed to them. He went there to fetch Little Pepper to join the other kids who formed their own circle at the side, with Meatball smack at the center of it.

He asked for her to dance like a little gentleman, very cute.

"Isn't Big Brother Theo so handsome?" Althea asked her daughter, who was stretching her tiny arms to go to Theo.

"Ya! Hansum!" she said with that milky voice of hers, and her squirming intensified, her bum wiggling as she tried to get down from her lap.

Althea smiled and let go, watching the baby run to Theo and they headed to the little dance circle with kids.

Meatball was, as usual, the boundless ball of energy that he was, and he led the other kids to dance their hearts out. Even the bigger kids like Maya were there, though she dragged Horus in there to dance with her too.

The kids looked hilarious, trying to mimic the dance moves of the adults, albeit failing miserably. Even when it was time to eat, the dance floor was active, and some even ate while dancing.

The guests were obviously liking this too much, and it was quite uplifting to watch even from the side.

Althea's head rested on her husband's broad shoulders, smiling, eyes warm as she looked at her citizens.

"Such a happy day," was all she said, holding her husband's large and calloused hand.

Garan smiled, lifting her soft palm to his lips. "And much of it is thanks to you."

Unexpectedly, he stood up too immediately after saying that, pulling her up with him. Althea blinked, a bit startled.

With cerulean eyes looking deeply at her, his baritone voice echoed in her ears as he spoke. "Shall we join in?"
