Chapter 37 - Know the Mistake (1)
Since being spanked by Zang Ya that day, An Yun had been in a state of panic, especially when interacting with Zang Ya afterwards.
Whenever Zang Ya was around him, he would do something to An Yun, either pinching his face or pinching here and there.
An Yun didn’t know how to refuse. Although Zang Ya pinched him, he just kneaded him like dough, and there was nothing obscene in the movements. If he had to compare it to something, it would be like those cat owners he had seen in his previous life, who just couldn’t help but do something to their pets.
An Yun felt that he was a human being after all, and Zang Ya could not treat him as a pet. He thought Zang Ya was acting this way because he had some thoughts in mind, but due to his physical condition, he could not take further action.
When An Yun thought of this, he felt worried, and his face was also a bit sad.
Zang Ya did not notice it at first and thought that An Yun was so sad because he was not well and was still suffering from illness. It wasn’t until a few days later that he found An Yun’s situation seemed to be because of his approach.
Suddenly, Zang Ya narrowed his eyes, and the hand that was holding An Yun stopped. He looked straight at An Yun and, after a moment, said, “You are unhappy, why?”
An Yun’s heart tightened, and he looked up at Zang Ya beside him, meeting his eyes, and stammered, “No, I am not unhappy.”
An Yun knew his current identity and that he was relying on others for food and drink. It was nothing for others to pinch him, and even if they wanted to abuse him for fun, he could only bear it.
Additionally, Zang Ya had saved him, and even the short life experience from his previous life told him that his thoughts should not be spoken.
First, what if Zang Ya thought he was spoiled and left in displeasure? The servants here acted according to the master’s mood, and he feared he would not have a good life in this mansion.
Second, what if Zang Ya really had no other strange ideas now, and what he said reminded him instead?
After An Yun finished speaking, he secretly looked at Zang Ya’s expression, wanting to see what he was thinking. As a result, An Yun could not see any emotion on his face, only seeing Zang Ya staring at him with contemplation in his eyes.
An Yun cursed secretly in his heart. He didn’t understand. Was it really because people in ancient times had a short life span that their talents grew so fast? Zang Ya was obviously much younger than him. Why could he be so silent? He had no way to judge what he thought by his expression.
An Yun was still worried, but Zang Ya glanced at him, nodded at him in his frightened eyes, and then got up and left with the maid.
An Yun stared at the direction where Zang Ya had left, stunned for a while, as if he couldn’t quite understand what had happened. After a while, An Yun breathed a sigh of relief. Zang Ya didn’t seem to be angry, which was really great.
Zang Ya did not go out but went straight back to his room, then sat down on the couch, thought about An Yun’s reaction just now, looked up at Qing Yue next to him, and said directly, “Do you think he acted like that because he didn’t want me to pinch him?”
In fact, An Yun’s reaction was easy to guess. As long as Zang Ya thought about it, he would remember that every time An Yun showed an uncomfortable look, it was when he pinched him.
Qing Yue listened to her young master’s question and recalled the scene when her young master and An Yun were together. She felt that the scene was quite obvious, right?
Qing Yue knew the answer but couldn’t elaborate. She bent slightly and chose a more euphemistic statement, “Maybe An Fulang is not used to being spoiled by the young master, so he seems a little distressed.”
After all, according to Zang Ya’s status, it was a blessing if he could care so much about a shuanger. Not to mention the precious medicinal materials that flowed like water and the daily food and clothing expenses, his young master also fought against his elders for him and moved in to guard him.
At present, Zang Ya’s actions toward An Yun seemed to be close to him, and he seemed to like him very much. The little shuanger should know that only if the young master liked him more, his life in this mansion would be better.
In Qing Yue’s opinion, if it were any other shuanger, they would be grateful to her young master and devoted to him for what he did. But this fulang, she didn’t know what was in his mind. Although he was grateful when he saw her young master, he didn’t seem to have any other thoughts.
Zang Ya heard Qing Yue’s answer and just glanced at her, as if he saw through her insincerity.
Qing Yue’s expression was slightly stiff. No matter how many times, she was not used to her young master’s eyes that seemed to see through people’s hearts.
Fortunately, Zang Ya didn’t look at her for long. He just stared at her for a while, then turned his head to look at the wind chime hanging under the eaves not far away, watching the suspended wood piece spinning in the wind, driving the bell above to make a crisp sound.
Zang Ya stared at the wind chime for a long time before continuing, “I know he doesn’t like me pinching him.”
Qing Yue’s heart sank.
Zang Ya repeated, “But I can’t control it, and I don’t plan to restrain myself.”
Qing Yue looked up and saw her young master holding his chin with one hand. His face, which already showed some of his future majestic features, was now indifferent. “So, I have to think of other ways to make him happy and divert his attention. Otherwise, he will be so unhappy every day and worry himself to death one day.”
Qing Yue was shocked, not by Zang Ya’s words, but by the fact that her young master cared about An Yun more than she thought and even began to consider An Yun’s feelings.
