After Dressing Up As a Little Fulang

Chapter 20 - Invitation (1)

An Yun packed himself up, and within a short while, the maid came over with breakfast.

Today’s breakfast was preserved egg and lean meat porridge, supplemented by some refreshing and delicious radish pickles, which was both appetizing and refreshing.

Of course, this delicious breakfast was also made on An Yun’s suggestion.

Chef Zheng was a very smart cook. As long as An Yun explained the recipe a little bit, even if he couldn’t learn it immediately, after trying it once or twice, he could make a dish that was almost the same as what An Yun remembered.

While An Yun was eating the porridge, he was thinking about asking Chef Zheng to add a fish-flavored shredded pork dish at noon, a sweet, sour, and spicy dish that the young master would like.

Recalling how to make the dish, An Yun finished the porridge in his hand, and then he saw Xiao Cui walking up with the hem of her skirt in one hand and a food box in the other.

“You are here.” An Yun unconsciously put on a smile on his face, looking at Xiao Cui with expectation.

Seeing An Yun’s smile, Xiao Cui couldn’t help but smile a little. Then she put the food box containing the medicine soup on the table, nodded to him, and said warmly, “Yes.”

Xiao Cui took out the medicine in the food box and handed it to An Yun, poured him a glass of water, and then took out three candied fruits from the candied fruit jar on the shelf next to it and put them into a white jade porcelain plate. She gently pushed the plate next to An Yun.

“An Fulang, just now Chef Zheng asked me to tell you that you don’t have to work in the kitchen today. The young master is out today and will not eat lunch or dinner in the mansion.”

An Yun was a little confused when he heard this. It had been hot these days, and the young master was too lazy to go out because he was afraid of the heat. Why did he suddenly want to go out today?

But then he remembered that the young master used to go out often and would stay out for the whole day, as if he was running wild. An Yun quickly felt it was as expected.

He guessed that the young master had finally gotten bored after staying in the mansion for so long and couldn’t help but want to go out.

The young master wasn’t around today, so An Yun didn’t have to go to the kitchen to give instructions, freeing up his time for his own tasks.

After An Yun thought about it, he began to think more. After eating the last candied fruit, he raised his head and looked at Xiao Cui, who was waiting next to him. His eyes were as bright as twinkling stars, making his whole body look vivid and beautiful again.

“Xiao Cui, after you deliver the medicine back later, can you go out and buy some roses for me?”

.

Zang Ya rested in the third floor yesterday, so naturally he was washing and dressing up there today.

Zang Ya wore a simple and loose short-sleeved summer coat today. His hair was combed into a simple ponytail and tied up high with a black hairband, showing a bit of energy and sophistication.

After Zang Ya finished washing, the maids had already brought him today’s breakfast. Unlike An Yun’s porridge, Zang Ya’s breakfast today was cold skin noodles with mixed sauce and winter melon broth.

Half of the dishes item were miscellaneous cold noodles carefully cooked with fat and lean meat and sauces, which exuded a strong aroma. The other half was a thinly sliced cucumbers and diced pickled radish, which exuded the fragrance of vegetarian dishes. A spoonful of hot sauce was placed in the middle.

Zang Ya came to the table and stirred gently with his chopsticks. The seasonings were mixed into the noodles, emitting bursts of rich aroma and whetting his appetite.

Zang Ya finished the miscellaneous noodles in three gulps and drank the winter melon broth, which still retained a slight residual heat, in one gulp. This morning’s meal was considered complete.

The maid next to him brought a soft towel to wipe Zang Ya’s mouth and hands. After Zang Ya used it, she took the tray and brought it back to the kitchen.

After Zang Ya finished cleaning himself up, he looked up at Qing Yue, who was waiting beside him, and told her, “You don’t have to follow me today.”

“Yes.” Qing Yue nodded in agreement.

Seeing her answer, Zang Ya got up and went to the front yard, where people were already waiting his horse.

Zang Ya touched the horse, which was a little agitated because it was led out in the morning, patted its thick back, and got on the horse.

Just as he was raising his whip and preparing to leave, Zang Ya suddenly thought of something. He lowered his head and looked at Qing Yue, who was waiting beside him, and said, “By the way, the Jinyun yarn has not been delivered, and today is the deadline. Send someone this afternoon to hurry them. If he still doesn’t know what to do, I’ll get it myself.”

Qing Yue nodded, “Yes, I will send someone to rush them in the afternoon.”

Zang Ya was satisfied, whipped his horse, and galloped away from the Zang Mansion.

.

In less than half an hour, Zang Ya and his party arrived at a manor outside the city.

As soon as Zang Ya appeared, before the horse could stand still, the attendant waiting at the door recognized him.

The attendant ordered the boy next to him, and the boy ran inside to report the news.

The attendant hurriedly ran over with the rest of the servants, and said diligently to Zang Ya: “Young Master Zang, my young master has been waiting for you since early morning. Please come with me.”

Zang Ya nodded, got off his horse, threw the horse rope to the servant waiting to hold the horse, and then went in under the leadership of the attendant.

Zang Ya only walked a few steps up the steps. Before he could get through the door, Song Lin hurriedly came out.

The moment he saw Zang Ya’s attire, Song Lin was a little surprised. He saw that Zang Ya today was wearing cool clothes and short sleeves. He didn’t look like a rich man, but more like a wild boy from the countryside.

If it weren’t for that extremely recognizable face, no one would have recognized that this was the distinguished guest they were going to entertain today.

Song Lin was only surprised for a moment, and soon guessed that Zang Ya should be dressed like this for coolness. As for whether it was in compliance with the regulations and norms, this matter was generally not within the scope of Young Master Zang’s consideration.
