After Dressing Up As a Little Fulang

Chapter 18 - Rules (2)

When Xiao Cui saw that the person coming was Qing Yue, the smile on her face faded slightly. She lowered her head and eyes and stood aside, as quiet as if she didn’t exist.

Seeing Xiao Cui like this, An Yun wanted to ask something, but Qing Yue, who had already entered the door, was one step ahead of him.

Qing Yue saluted An Yun with a hint of a smile in her tone, “An Fulang.”

An Yun didn’t know if it was his imagination, but he felt that Qing Yue seemed much more polite than the last time they met, and her tone was gentler.

An Yun was distracted for a moment but quickly recovered, nodded, and called softly, “Miss Qing Yue.”

Then he asked, “I wonder what brings the young lady here so late?”

Qing Yue smiled with a gentle look on her face, took a delicate box from the maid behind her, handed it to An Yun, and said gently, “I bring this to An Fulang on the order of the young master.”

An Yun was a little confused. He hadn’t seen the young master in the past few days. Why would the young master suddenly give him something?

An Yun’s heart was pounding, but he took the box from her hands. However, he was not mentally prepared for its weight and almost dropped it.

Fortunately, Qing Yue didn’t let go when she handed the box to An Yun, so she helped him hold it up to prevent it from falling.

With a smile on her lips, Qing Yue looked at the embarrassed An Yun and said, “It’s my fault. I didn’t remind you that this box is heavy. You should be more careful.”

The look on An Yun’s face became more and more embarrassed, and he smiled awkwardly but politely at Qing Yue.

Qing Yue didn’t linger. She just looked at him and chuckled, “An Fulang, why don’t you take a look at what the young master has given you and see if you like it?”

An Yun was curious about what was inside. Could it be something like a stone? Otherwise, why would it be so heavy?

An Yun lowered his head and looked at the box, which appeared very delicate and valuable. After thinking for a moment, he opened it.

As a result, An Yun was stunned when he saw what was inside.

He saw that the box contained a white jade rabbit half the size of his palm. The rabbit raised its head to the sky and leaped, as if it was about to fly to the moon, but its feet were entangled with golden vines, and the restraints were connected to the pattern of white clouds below on a solid gold-engraved base.

It was supposed to be a tacky match, but he didn’t know if it was the quality of the jade or the sheen of the gold, but it seemed like a perfect match.

When An Yun saw this, he swallowed his saliva regardless of his image. This thing was not cheap in modern times. In ancient times, it should be enough to buy the land of a village.

Qing Yue watched his reaction from the side, and there was no sign of contempt in her eyes. She just felt that the fulang’s thoughts were easy to read, and there was something about his honest reaction that was endearing.

An Yun was first stunned by the object, then turned his head sharply to look at Qing Yue beside him, with a bit of trembling in his tone, “Why did the young master give me such a precious thing?”

Showing courtesy for nothing was either cheating or stealing. There must be a hidden purpose behind it.

Besides, this thing was not ordinary, even if he sold himself right now, he wouldn’t worth the same as this jade.

Qing Yue looked at An Yun’s trembling look and thought about how she showed the young master this item. When she asked the young master if this was the gift, he sat casually on the mat and nodded dismissively, saying, “Yes, take it and give that ignorant little shuanger an experience, so he doesn’t lose his image for a small amount of gold.”

Before Qing Yue’s words came to her lips, she smiled and said gently, “The young master feels that fulang is missing some toys here, so he wanted to give this to fulang to play with.”

An Yun took a breath when he heard her say this. It would take someone extremely wealthy in this household to let him play with such a precious thing at will.

Qing Yue looked at An Yun’s shocked expression and knew that her mission was completed. She saluted An Yun and then said gently, “Since the items have been delivered, I will not disturb your rest. If you need anything later, you can send someone to find me.”

An Yun nodded and watched Qing Yue leave.

An Yun looked at Qing Yue’s back and suddenly felt that if Qing Yue didn’t say anything and just walked out like this, people outside would mistake her for someone’s young lady.

Compared with the two little maids who were frightened just now, the two of them were really like night and day. This world was truly remarkable.

An Yun stared at Qing Yue’s back for a while until a long sigh of relief came from the side, and he came back to his senses.

Looking at Xiao Cui, who was breathing heavily, An Yun couldn’t help but smile and said, “Miss Qing Yue looks so gentle and kind, why are you so afraid of her?”

Xiao Cui didn’t reply but gave An Yun a resentful look.

An Yun touched his nose in a daze, then lowered his head and looked at the item again. He originally planned to study the tools for making lip balm today, but when this thing appeared, he couldn’t calm down!

.

Qing Yue followed the path back and reached the third floor of the house in the middle of Zang Ya’s yard.

In the house, a draft blew through, bringing with it bursts of the fragrance of mug wort.

Although it was a hot summer night, it was much cooler because of the wind and the night.

When Qing Yue saw the young master, she saw that he was half laying on the mat, with his head half propped up, looking outside through the window lattice.

Qing Yue followed his line of sight and could see An Yun’s small yard through the window that had not yet been closed.
