Chapter 409: Desert Castle
Chen Yu couldn't help but frown, as this area should still fall within the territory of Dongming Canyon. How could such a group of people brazenly appear here? Were they not afraid of Dongming Canyon?
The man leading them walked up and took out a Token from his body.
"We are from the Desert Eagle group. Every vehicle coming from Dongming Canyon must be inspected by us. Everyone get down immediately, or else we'll kill you all."

It was as if Chen Yu had heard some sort of joke, and he chuckled twice before he decisively pressed the accelerator, as he had no desire to waste time with these fellows.
Unexpectedly, these fellows directly laid out a blockade device on the road.
"Since it's the Desert Eagles, it seems our chances of getting through are not so good."
Jin Lingsu glanced at it and then got out of the vehicle, pulling out a golden spike from her person.
"Call your leader, and tell him Jin Lingsu wants to see him."
The gang, upon hearing Jin Lingsu's name, froze on the spot, and one of the men didn't dare to delay, hurriedly making a call.
Once the call was connected, Jin Lingsu snatched the phone from his hand.
"Luo Sanpao, have you little brat eaten the courage of a bear and the heart of a leopard to dare block anyone's vehicle?"
The domineering voice startled everyone present.
"Sister Jin? Oh my, my subordinates don't know any better. Please don't stoop to their level!"
Jin Lingsu snorted coldly, "Hurry up and get your men to clear off, or else I'll castrate them."
"I'll issue the order right away! But since you're here, would you please visit my castle? I'll get the drinks and dishes ready for you."
Jin Lingsu didn't refuse and simply tossed the phone to a lackey beside her before making her way back to the vehicle.
Chen Yu was somewhat surprised; he hadn't expected Jin Lingsu to have acquaintances in the desert.
"What exactly is this Desert Eagle organization? To think they would dare to rob on Dongming Canyon's turf."
Jin Lingsu sighed softly.
"They've been inhabitants of the desert for a long time. But due to war and the natural environment, they've been forced to retreat into some ancient castles in the desert, and over time, they've evolved into the Desert Eagles."
Chen Yu didn't say anything more but merely followed the trucks forward.
After an indeterminate amount of time, they arrived at a hill.
This place seemed unremarkable at first glance, but upon approaching it became apparent that the entire hill had been transformed into a castle.
Chen Yu couldn't help but exclaim in admiration. It must have taken hundreds of years to build such a castle.
"Sister Jin!"
A robust and burly man energetically ran out from the hill.
"It's been ten years since we last saw each other, I'm glad to see you again."
Yet Jin Lingsu dodged with an expression of disgust on her face.
"Hurry up and get some food. We've been hungry since running out of the Black Sand Storm."
Luo Sanpao's eyes widened in astonishment, "You really made it out of the Black Sand Storm? My god, probably no one else in this world could have accomplished that."
Without saying much more, Jin Lingsu led everyone directly into the castle.
Luo Sanpao was very enthusiastic and set up a very lavish table in the main hall.
No sooner had Chen Yu sat down than a figure slowly descended from the second floor.
The person was very shapely, draped in a thin veil, with pale skin peeking through.
However, this woman spoke in a rather strange tone.
"Oh my, who do we have here, visitors I've never seen before? Sanpao, you didn't even introduce me."
Luo Sanpao showed a face full of disgust.
"They're all good friends from my past on the streets, and you wouldn't know them even if I told you. Hurry up and serve the guests some drinks."
The woman rolled her eyes and didn't say anything more, leaving on her own accord.
Chen Yu couldn't help but frown; he always felt that the woman from just now wasn't simple, as there was an extremely odd tattoo engraved on her neck.
"Was that woman your wife?" Chen Yu tentatively asked.
"No!" Luo Sanpao replied with some helplessness, "I saved her from the desert, and since she knows many places there where treasures are hidden, I had her stay."
Chen Yu nodded, seeing that the relationship between Luo Sanpao and the woman seemed to be purely a business one.
After a satisfying meal, Luo Sanpao arranged rooms for everyone.
The rooms here were both luxurious and spacious, quite nice indeed.
Chen Yu was just getting ready to freshen up when a rapid knocking sound came from the door.
Upon opening it, he saw it was the same woman from before.
Chen Yu had no desire to get entangled with this woman.
"Madam, what can I do for you?"
The woman, looking around the corridor cautiously, barged straight in and then took out a Token from her person.
It was a Token of the Knights of the Round Table, specially equipped for reliable people under one's command.
Chen Yu showed no sign of surprise. He had already known her identity when he had scanned her personal information earlier.
"What's the matter?"
The woman knelt on one knee: "Sir, I have already investigated, and there is a treasure hidden beneath this castle. If you are interested, I could present it to you."
Chen Yu scoffed, sensing that the woman clearly wanted to claim credit before him in order to secure a better status within the Knights of the Round Table.
"I'm not interested in the treasure here, but since you have been here for such a long time, you must have found quite a few treasures, right? Can you show me?"
The woman seemed slightly taken aback and hesitant, but the next moment, she solemnly agreed and led the way out of the room.
Before long, she led Chen Yu to a side door in the hall.
"Mr. Chen, this is where treasures are usually kept in the castle; what's stored here could rival the wealth of nations."
Chen Yu merely stood at the door for a moment, and all the images inside appeared in his mind.
"It's just some gold, silver, and jewels. I thought there might be something more peculiar."
The woman instantly tensed up, hurriedly pulling out a wooden box from her person, and soon, the strange scent of ambergris spread throughout the hall.
"This is ambergris I found in a treasure cave, quite the quality item. Please accept it as a gift for our first meeting."
Chen Yu glanced sideways, considering this fine item would be an excellent gift for Tong Ya.
"The item is nice; I like it! What's your request?"
The woman seemed to have been waiting for these words, and quickly knelt down in front of Chen Yu.
"I hope you will allow me to become your personal guard."
The request didn't seem particularly special, but on some level, it was tantamount to changing the woman's life.
Once someone became a guard for the Knights of the Round Table, they would be joining the core circle of the Knights.
Not only could she come into contact with realms she couldn't reach before, but she would also get access to more resources.
She might even acquire things she wouldn't dare to dream of otherwise.
