After Being Rejected by Senior Sisters, My Demoness Master Actually Gave Herself to Me

Chapter 31: Master, What Do You Like?

Chapter 31: Master, What Do You Like?

After Bai Rourou stepped out, she noticed a figure cloaked in purple. Upon closer inspection, her face turned pale with fright.

It was her master, Luo Jiuyan!

Why was she here?

At the same time, Ye Shu also noticed Bai Rourou and was equally shocked. What was she doing here? Didn’t she know he had plans tonight?

Ye Shu glanced at Luo Jiuyan, seeking her opinion, but Luo Jiuyan had her back turned to him, clearly displeased. He knew that expression all too well—she was definitely angry.

A splitting headache seemed to hit him as he walked forward, approaching Bai Rourou. Standing in front of her, he asked, “Senior Sister Bai, what brings you here?”

As he spoke, he subtly winked at her, trying to convey that if she had nothing important, she should leave quickly.

“I…” Bai Rourou covered her mouth, unsure of what to say. She had come here to “keep the appointment” with Ye Shu and attend the Lantern Festival together. But how could she say that now? She wasn’t blind—she could clearly see Ye Shu winking at her.

After spotting Luo Jiuyan, her original plans had completely fallen apart. Reluctantly, she asked, “Junior Brother, Master, are you two going on a mission?”

She thought to herself that it was already so late. Surely, Junior Brother and Master wouldn’t be going to the Lantern Festival together. It must be some urgent mission.

“Yes!” Ye Shu, who had been struggling to come up with an explanation, seized the opportunity Bai Rourou had given him. He quickly added, “Senior Sister Bai, Master and I are heading down the mountain for a mission. We might not make it to the disciples’ gathering.”

He quickly attributed Bai Rourou’s visit to the disciples’ gathering, as every year during the Lantern Festival, many disciples would gather to exchange cultivation insights. If he framed it this way, Luo Jiuyan probably wouldn’t suspect anything.

And indeed, that’s exactly what happened.

After hearing this, Luo Jiuyan turned slightly, glancing over. Her gaze remained icy, as cold as a thousand-year-old glacier, yet a flicker of resignation softened its edges.

“I see…” Bai Rourou’s beautiful eyes revealed a hint of disappointment, as if a beautiful dream had been shattered. She had hoped to attend the Luoyang City Lantern Festival with Ye Shu, but with Luo Jiuyan present, she didn’t dare say a word.

She could only look at Ye Shu with regret and say, “Well then, Junior Brother Ye, I wish you and Master a safe journey.”

As she spoke, tears nearly fell from her eyes. She had been looking forward to this for so long, only for Luo Jiuyan to appear out of nowhere at the last moment. How could she not be heartbroken?

Seeing her sad expression, Ye Shu wondered what was wrong with her. Suddenly, it dawned on him, and he smiled, saying, “Senior Sister Bai, don’t worry. What’s meant to be will come.”

As he said this, he even threw her a flirtatious glance. He thought to himself, Isn’t it just about spending time together at the festival? I’ll keep my promise. Once we’re down the mountain, I’ll make it up to you somehow.

“Ah…” Bai Rourou’s eyes widened. The way she interpreted his words was completely different. What’s meant to be will come! Didn’t that mean there was still a chance for a date with Junior Brother? And that meaningful glance at the end only solidified her thoughts.

Bai Rourou’s expression finally brightened, and she nodded vigorously, saying with anticipation, “I believe you, Junior Brother Ye!”

Good things come to those who wait. If it didn’t happen today, there would be other opportunities. After all, Junior Brother wasn’t going to run away from the Heavenly Fiend Sect. She finally calmed down, feeling a warmth in her heart. Junior Brother is so bold, daring to speak like that in front of Master. He must really care!

“Mm.”

Ye Shu, relieved that he had finally resolved the situation, waved at her and then walked over to Luo Jiuyan. Nervously, he looked up, observing his master’s every move.

The most important thing now was Luo Jiuyan, the ruthless and merciless demoness! If she dared to say “no,” Ye Shu wouldn’t know how to handle it. Moreover, from the beginning until now, Luo Jiuyan hadn’t said a single word. Who knew what was going on in her mind? If she was upset because of Bai Rourou’s appearance, the entire plan would fall apart.

Hmph! You’re lucky you know what’s good for you! Luo Jiuyan thought to herself, though her expression remained unchanged.

She had initially thought that if Bai Rourou showed up, she could use it as an excuse to avoid going to the Lantern Festival. But as the conversation shifted to a mission, she found herself with no reason to refuse, a mix of helplessness and strange excitement stirring within her.

Luo Jiuyan felt both helpless and strangely excited. Since things had come to this, she decided not to be petty.

“Let’s go.”

With that, she released her spiritual energy, transforming it into a cloud that lifted the two of them into the air.

Ye Shu’s heart finally settled. It seemed his master wasn’t the petty type. He reached out his hand, bidding farewell to Bai Rourou. “Senior Sister Bai, I—”

Whoosh!

Suddenly, the speed increased dramatically, almost throwing Ye Shu off the cloud. He quickly grabbed onto Luo Jiuyan’s robe, not daring to let go.

He wanted to ask his master what was wrong. Why had she suddenly accelerated so much?

Hmph! Still flirting with your Senior Sister Bai? I really want to shake your brain until it’s evenly mixed! Luo Jiuyan’s heart was filled with bitterness.

The conversation between Ye Shu and Bai Rourou had already made her uncomfortable, and now, at the moment of parting, they were still exchanging words. This ignited her controlling nature and tipped over her jealousy.

And so, the auspicious cloud swiftly streaked across the sky, disappearing without a trace.

Bai Rourou watched this scene with worry. “They’re in such a hurry. The mission must be urgent. Junior Brother Ye, you must be careful.”

After saying this, she suddenly turned around and noticed a red figure in the woods, startling her.

“Senior Sister…”

Upon closer inspection, she recognized her senior sister, Nie Qing. What was she doing here at this time? Was she here to seek revenge on Junior Brother Ye, or had she come with some other intent?

Nie Qing, gazing at the sky, asked in surprise, “Where did Junior Brother Ye go?”

Bai Rourou, showing the same respect as before, timidly nodded. “Junior Brother Ye went on a mission.”

“I see.” Nie Qing placed a hand on her rapidly beating chest while holding a basket in the other. She shook her head, feeling frustrated. What kind of mission would they have during the Lantern Festival? It doesn’t make sense.

“Then who’s going to eat all this?” she muttered, her voice tinged with frustration as she carelessly tossed the basket on the ground before walking away without looking back.

Bai Rourou stared at her retreating figure in shock, then walked over to the basket. Inside, scattered on the ground, were various pastries. She felt it was such a waste to throw away so many delicious treats.

As she thought this, Bai Rourou swallowed her saliva and bent down, planning to pick up a couple of clean ones to try.

Suddenly, a voice came from the woods. “Don’t pick them up. They’re for the dog.”

Bai Rourou shivered and quickly retracted her hand. “Who… who’s the dog?”

It couldn’t be her, and it certainly couldn’t be Master. That only left one person…

Bai Rourou covered her mouth. It’s Junior Brother! These pastries were prepared by Senior Sister Nie for Junior Brother!

“What?” She panicked. What was going on with Senior Sister Nie?

Meanwhile, in Luoyang City, on the bustling main street.

The streets were adorned with red lanterns and festive decorations. Vendors shouted their wares, and a dazzling array of goods lined both sides of the street for people to browse.

Amidst this lively scene, a pair walked down the street. The man was handsome and majestic, dressed in a white robe with a silver sword at his waist. His demeanor was like that of an immortal gracing the mortal realm, and every move he made caused the flower-selling girls and tofu-pushing aunties to flutter with admiration.

The woman, on the other hand, was wrapped in a dark purple robe, her curvaceous figure hidden beneath it. She wore a veil, but through the subtle gaps, one could catch glimpses of her flawless beauty. In this world of dazzling sights, the two of them looked more like a celestial couple descended from the heavens.

At this moment, Ye Shu couldn’t help but ask, “Master, what do you like?”
