Chapter 87:
Chapter 87:
“Where is Qin Fei!” Xiao Yang’s eyes burned red with fury.
Qin Fei had gone too far, even convincing Xiao Yang’s parents to demolish his grandfather’s old home. They had destroyed the last connection Xiao Yang had with his grandfather. At this moment, Xiao Yang was consumed with rage, his mind filled with thoughts of retribution.
The onlookers were stunned by his ferocity.
“Brother Holy Son, I know where Qin Fei is. He’s recovering in the small courtyard behind,” Lin Wangchuan quickly informed him.
“Boom!” Xiao Yang stomped the ground with such force that the hard tiles beneath him shattered into pieces.
He leaped onto the roof and dashed toward the back courtyard.
“Unfilial son, what do you intend to do?” Xiao Zhenshan shouted, startled by Xiao Yang’s actions. He hurriedly chased after him.
The rest of the crowd, equally alarmed, followed close behind.
Jiang Ting’s face turned pale as she raced toward the back courtyard, worried that Xiao Yang, in his fury, might harm Qin Fei.
Xiao Yang landed directly in the small courtyard.
At that moment, the wooden door of the house creaked open, and Qin Fei stepped out.
“Senior Brother?” Qin Fei quickly approached with a look of concern, though a sly glint flickered in his eyes.
“Senior Brother, what’s wrong?” Qin Fei stood before Xiao Yang, feigning innocence.
“Qin Fei…” Xiao Yang growled, grabbing Qin Fei by the front of his robe and pulling him close. He stared at him with bloodshot eyes, his hatred so palpable it felt like he might tear Qin Fei apart.
“Senior Brother… you…” Qin Fei’s voice trembled as his gaze flickered to Jiang Ting, who was just arriving.
A smirk played on his lips. He suddenly pushed against Xiao Yang, tearing his robe in the process, and fell to the ground.
“Senior Brother, I was wrong. Please don’t hit me…” Qin Fei cowered on the ground, looking utterly pitiful.
This scene unfolded just as Jiang Ting burst into the courtyard.
From her perspective, all she saw was Xiao Yang standing over Qin Fei, who was sprawled on the ground.
“…” Xiao Yang froze, stunned by Qin Fei’s theatrics. He hadn’t even touched him yet.
But the next moment, he understood Qin Fei’s motive.
“Senior Brother, what are you doing!” Jiang Ting’s angry voice rang out.
She rushed forward, placing herself between Qin Fei and Xiao Yang.
“You know he’s injured. Why would you hit him? What has he done wrong to deserve this from you?” Jiang Ting scolded Xiao Yang, her voice full of blame.
“Senior Sister, don’t blame Senior Brother. If he’s hitting me, it must be because I’ve done something wrong to upset him,” Qin Fei whimpered, hiding behind Jiang Ting like a pitiful lamb.
Xiao Yang almost laughed out loud in exasperation. Qin Fei was still as skilled as ever at playing the victim.
“Unfilial son! You hit Xiao Fei again? This is outrageous!” Xiao Zhenshan stormed into the courtyard, furious.
Chen Ruolan and Xiao Yue followed close behind.
Disciples like Zheng Fan, Li Yunhu, and Lei Renjie arrived as well, eager to watch the commotion.
“Foster Father, I’m fine. As long as Senior Brother can calm down, he can hit me as much as he likes. I won’t resist,” Qin Fei continued to act pitiful.
“Qin Fei, you…” Xiao Yang’s anger surged.
“What, you want to hit him again?” Jiang Ting stepped forward, shielding Qin Fei with her arms outstretched.
Qin Fei stood behind her, looking pitiful but casting a mocking glance at Xiao Yang.
“You…” Xiao Yang clenched his fists and stepped forward.
“Senior Brother!” Jiang Ting pushed him back. “With me here, you won’t lay a hand on him again!”
“To hell with this…” Xiao Yang growled, losing patience. He grabbed Jiang Ting by the collar and, with a flick of his wrist, flung her aside.
Qin Fei, stunned, froze in place.
Before he could react, Xiao Yang’s fist crashed into his left cheek.
“Bang!”
Qin Fei’s head snapped to the side, and a bloody tooth flew from his mouth, landing on the ground.
Stumbling backward, Qin Fei tried to steady himself.
“Boom!”
Outside the courtyard, a loud crash echoed. Jiang Ting had slammed into a pavilion, reducing it to rubble.
“…” The spectators were dumbfounded.
The Senior Brother had actually thrown the Senior Sister?
“I’ll show you arrogance!” Xiao Yang roared, charging at Qin Fei and landing another solid punch on his face.
Qin Fei’s face contorted from the blow, his nose visibly crooked.
He collapsed onto the ground, his face bloodied.
“How does that feel?” Xiao Yang sneered, stepping forward and delivering a brutal kick to Qin Fei’s stomach. The force sent Qin Fei sliding several feet across the ground, coughing up blood.
Xiao Yang, blinded by rage, kept advancing. He rained down punches on Qin Fei, who cried out in pain, his body twisting and writhing on the ground.
Qin Fei tried to fight back but realized, to his horror, that his sword energy was sealed, and his flying sword remained bound within him. He was utterly powerless before Xiao Yang.
Xiao Yang’s relentless assault left Qin Fei groaning in agony, reduced to a bloody, pitiful mess.
“Unfilial son!” Xiao Zhenshan rushed forward, attempting to pull Xiao Yang away.
With a swift push, Xiao Yang sent Xiao Zhenshan staggering several feet backward and continued beating Qin Fei.
Xiao Zhenshan, furious, shouted, “You dare strike your father?”
At that moment, Xiao Yue picked up a large water jar and smashed it over Xiao Yang’s head.
The jar shattered into shards, and water splashed everywhere.
“…”
Everyone froze, stunned by the scene.
Xiao Zhenshan, Chen Ruolan, and Xiao Yue were all rooted in place.
Even Xiao Yang stopped moving, drenched in water, his heart growing cold.
These were his family, the people who were supposed to care for him. And yet, for the sake of an outsider with no blood relation, they had done this to him.
Turning to Xiao Yue, Xiao Yang’s voice was icy.
“When we were young, I was weak and sickly, often bullied. You stood up and said you’d learn to protect your brother. Is this how you protect me?”
Xiao Yue’s eyes filled with panic. “Brother… I… I didn’t mean to…”
“Ah, Foster Father, Foster Mother, Xiao Yue, my hand feels broken. My ribs might be fractured too… My face… My nose…” Qin Fei wailed dramatically, clutching his battered body.
Seeing Qin Fei’s state, bloodied and bruised, his nose broken and teeth missing, Xiao Zhenshan and Chen Ruolan’s hearts ached.
“Unfilial son! He’s my foster son, your foster brother! How could you treat him so cruelly?” Xiao Zhenshan shouted, veins bulging on his forehead.
“I never acknowledged him as my foster brother,” Xiao Yang retorted through gritted teeth.
“He’s your junior fellow disciple. How could you be so ruthless!” Chen Ruolan chastised.
“Brother, you shouldn’t have hit Xiao Fei. So what if he suggested tearing down Grandpa’s old house? He was just trying to help rebuild it,” Xiao Yue stammered.
“Xiao Fei, Xiao Fei, it’s always about Qin Fei!” Xiao Yang’s rage boiled over.
He grabbed Qin Fei by the neck and hoisted him into the air.
“Unfilial son, what are you doing!” Xiao Zhenshan shouted in alarm.
“Yang’er, put him down now!” Chen Ruolan cried, her face pale.
“Senior Brother, don’t act impulsively…” Song Qiang tried to intervene.
The other disciples of the Azure Sun Sword Sect, including Lei Renjie and Li Yunhu, were equally alarmed.
If Xiao Yang killed Qin Fei in a fit of rage, it would be an unpardonable crime.
“Senior Brother, please spare me… I was wrong…” Qin Fei whimpered, still acting weak.
But this time, he had miscalculated.
“You’re nothing but a dog in my eyes. Today, I’ll end this once and for all,” Xiao Yang declared, flinging Qin Fei toward a rockery.
“Boom!” The rockery shattered, and Qin Fei tumbled to the ground, coughing up blood.
“Die!” Xiao Yang roared, his killing intent erupting as he charged at Qin Fei.
