After a failed blind date, a wealthy woman tried to walk into my heart

The next day around noon, Su Lexuan finally woke up, groggily rubbing her sleepy head.

Feeling the cold, empty spot next to her on the bed, she turned over lazily and mumbled, "Shen Piggy~"

The door clicked open.

"You don't even know what time it is, do you?"

Zhang Chunling smiled teasingly as she looked at the half-asleep Su Lexuan sprawled out on the small bed. "Shen's already left ages ago. Get up and eat lunch already."

"Huh? It's noon?"

Still half-dazed, Su Lexuan sat up on the edge of the bed, her messy hair a wild halo around her face as her sleepy confusion radiated off her in waves.

She noticed the trash bin by her feet, stuffed with crumpled pieces of paper—remnants of last night's activities. Suddenly, her face turned beet red. Scrambling to put on her fuzzy slippers, she bolted out of her "crime scene" bed in embarrassment.

"Are you heading out to see Shen today?"

Zhang Chunling handed her a coat Shen Lang had left behind that morning. "Here, he forgot this. Might as well return it to him."

"Nah, it's too cold."

Su Lexuan hugged the coat, glancing at the frosted window with a shiver. "It's a hassle for him to drive over. I'll return it another day."

"Lexuan, didn't you mention Shen lives alone?" Zhang Chunling asked casually.

"Yeah, why?"

Su Lexuan had his address from when she bought him a necklace, but she'd never actually gone to his place.

Instead, they always met up somewhere or he'd pick her up from school or home.

"Well," Zhang Chunling smiled knowingly, "Why don't I give you some money so you two can rent a bigger place near your university? Living here with your dad and me is inconvenient for... certain things. It'd save you both some awkward moments if we ever walked in on you."

Zhang Chunling added, "You'll probably marry Shen once you graduate and get a stable job anyway. No shame in planning ahead. Just visit us during holidays and we're good."

Realizing her mom had heard last night's "commotion," Su Lexuan's face burned with embarrassment. She clutched Shen Lang's coat tightly, hesitating before stammering, "I-I'll think about it..."

Of course, she wanted to live with Shen! She'd daydreamed about it so many times—imagining him picking her up after school or her cooking him a nice dinner if she got home first. Weekends would be spent hosting friends for hotpot nights and card games, cozy and warm.

And, well, being close meant no more worrying about... external interruptions during their "moments."

Excited, she quickly grabbed her phone and messaged Shen.

Fairy Girl: "Shen Piggy, should we rent a place near the university to live together? {shy emoji}"

Slept-Until-Morning: "Sure, after the New Year, we can look at places together."

Fairy Girl: "Uhm... can we get a three-bedroom apartment though?"

Slept-Until-Morning: "Why? Are your parents moving in with us?"

Fairy Girl: "No, I want Yexin to stay with us sometimes. You know her situation; she doesn't like going home on weekends. Is that okay? {puppy eyes emoji}"

Worried Shen might say no, she quickly added:

"Don't worry, she'll only stay occasionally and won't intrude on our 'couple time.'"

"I don't mind. She's your girl bestie, not a guy bestie. But are you sure you trust me like that?"

Slept-Until-Morning: "I mean, her looks and figure aren't far off from yours. Aren't you worried this bunny might munch on the grass nearby? {sly emoji}"

Fairy Girl: "Pfft, as if! Didn't I tell you? Yexin's into older guys, not flirty little boys like you. {laughing emoji}"

Slept-Until-Morning: "Oh? So you already know your boyfriend's a flirt, huh?~ {mischievous emoji}"

Realizing where this conversation was headed, Su Lexuan's face flushed red. She spammed him with angry emojis.

Fairy Girl: "Shen Piggy, you're such a perv!! {scissors emoji—snip snip!}"

"Alright, alright, I'll stop. Fine, I'm okay with her staying occasionally. She knows boundaries, right?"

Slept-Until-Morning: "Plus, once we live together, we can get as 'close' as we want without worrying. {mischievous emoji}"

Fairy Girl: "Hmph! Shen Piggy, you're so good with girls that I'm starting to doubt I'm even your first love! {angry emoji}"

Shen Lang sighed. No matter how dazzling a girl was, jealousy and random questions always popped up.

But then, out of nowhere, Su Lexuan sent a message that left him completely speechless.

Fairy Girl: "Shen Piggy, be honest. If you really wanted to chase Yexin, how confident would you be?"

"WTF!"

Shen Lang nearly dropped his keyboard. Was her dad using her phone to test his loyalty or something?

Otherwise, why would his normally feisty girlfriend ask such a wild, soul-destroying question?

As he panicked, a system prompt popped up:
