Chapter 65: Chapter 65: Lumina: "Mind-Reading! I want mind-reading!" (Wailing and throwing a tantrum)

"Good morning, Sister Lumina!"

The next morning, as Lumina stepped out of the hotel, she saw Qingque waiting for her.

Qingque's eyes lit up at the sight of Lumina, and she hurried over with a cheerful greeting.

"Hmm? Not slacking off today?" Lumina asked, surprised to see Qingque waiting punctually.

Based on Lumina's understanding of Qingque, she should have arrived a few minutes late, a piece of bread dangling from her mouth, looking flustered and rushed.

"Uh... well... since I didn't have to go to the Divination Commission today, I thought I'd come early," Qingque said, scratching the back of her head with an awkward smile.

To be honest, Qingque herself didn't quite understand why she had arrived so early.

Normally, she would have slept in... but today, she had woken up much earlier than usual.

This unusual occurrence had startled Qingque, so she immediately performed a divination to check for any serious omens. Finding none, she realized the simple truth: she was just too excited.

"Qingque? Qingque!"

Seeing Qingque lost in thought, Lumina wished she had the ability to read minds, so she could decipher the thoughts of all the beautiful girls around her...

Then, she could perform a series of divinely calculated actions...

"Oh, right." Hearing Lumina's voice, Qingque snapped out of her daze, retrieved several pieces of Celestial Jade, and spread them out on her palm.

"Sister Lumina, let's begin today's divination."

"Same as always. Pick any jade you like."

Lumina extended a finger and randomly selected one of the Celestial Jades.

Qingque gathered the remaining jades, picked up the chosen one, and glanced at it. After divining the result, her expression turned slightly odd.

"What's wrong? Did the divination go awry?" Lumina asked, noticing Qingque's changed demeanor.

Lumina was immensely curious about Qingque's divination methods, but Qingque refused to show her how it worked.

So Lumina's curiosity remained unsatisfied...

Mostly because she had heard that some Diviners' readings lost accuracy if revealed to others.

Qingque must be one of those types of diviners... Lumina thought, which was why she hadn't resorted to force.

"No, it's just that the location the divination pointed to was a bit unexpected..." Qingque muttered, scratching her head in bewilderment as she stared at the divination results.

Lumina: ?

Good thing it's Qingque. If it were anyone else, Lumina would have slapped them already.

You're just divining luck, yet you're dragging your feet... Anyone watching would think you were divining destiny itself.

"The divination points to Cloudford..." Qingque finally announced.

Lumina scoffed inwardly, maintaining a flawless poker face. Qingque, oblivious, simply delivered the divination results.

"Cloudford?" Lumina paused, startled.

In the next instant, it clicked. That's why my lucky spot for the day is Cloudford!

Because I get to see the super adorable March and the super handsome Stelle! o( ̄▽ ̄*)ブ*

To be fair, Qingque's divination skills were genuinely impressive. She had correctly predicted both yesterday's Card Pavilion and today's Cloudford.

"Huh... that's really strange." No matter how many times Qingque checked her divination, the result always pointed to Cloudford.

Previously, Cloudford had been perfectly safe.

But now, it seemed to be facing some grave danger, completely surrounded by the Cloud Knight Legion. How could Sister Lumina's lucky destination for today be there?

Qingque racked her brain, unable to come up with an explanation.

Seeing her confusion, Lumina smiled and said, "Cloudford it is, then. I'll just head there today."

"It's not a problem with Cloudford itself," Qingque protested, shaking her head. Assuming Lumina was new to Luofu and unaware of the situation, she explained, "Something happened there a couple of days ago. The Cloud Knights have completely sealed it off. You can't get in without a General's warrant."

"Oh, I see," Lumina replied, feigning understanding and nodding. "So, I'll have to sneak in, then?"

"Huh?" Qingque blinked, startled by the suggestion. Recovering quickly, she waved her hands frantically.

"No, no, it's probably just my divination skills aren't up to par. The results must be wrong," Qingque stammered. "You don't have to go to Cloudford, you know."

"Really?" Lumina feigned confusion, then paused as if considering this. Finally, she looked up at Qingque with a smile. "But I trust your divinations completely."

"So..."

"I'm going to Cloudford today! ♪"

With that, Lumina turned as if to leave.

"E-eh, wait, wait!" Qingque quickly grabbed Lumina's wrist. Sensing her gaze, Qingque withdrew her hand with an awkward laugh. Then, with a serious expression, she declared, "I'm coming with you!"

Even if my divination isn't wrong... if it is, and we run into danger, I'll protect Sister Lumina!

"Hmm..."

Actually, Sister Lumina would probably be the one protecting me... Qingque's thoughts trailed off as she recalled Lumina's dazzling achievements in space combat.

Lumina observed Qingque's dazed expression once more, falling into silence.

Damn it, why doesn't the Emanator of Abundance have mind-reading abilities?!

The Saintess's yearning for mind-reading powers seemed to have reached a new level...

"Um... Sister Lumina, how are we going to get in?"

Having arrived at Cloudford, Qingque gazed at the heavily guarded gate manned by numerous Cloud Knights and asked, puzzled.

"Should we just go say hello to the Cloud Knights and ask them to let us through?"

"You're so naive," Lumina replied, gently flicking Qingque's forehead. "We don't have any special status or a General's writ. Why would they just let us in?"

Rubbing her forehead, Qingque flashed a sheepish grin, revealing her pearly white teeth. "Then how are we going to get in?" she asked.

"Why, we'll just waltz right in, of course! ♪" Lumina declared cheerfully, gesturing for Qingque to follow. She strode confidently toward the gate.

"?"

Qingque glanced at the nearby Cloud Knights, then back at Lumina, hesitating for a moment. Ultimately, trusting in Lumina and her own divination skills, she reluctantly followed.
