Ace Of Terrans

Shi Lang looked at Amelia, who was crying while sitting on the ground, and he almost dashed over. However, his roused spirits were doused with cold water by Aluwa, who said, "Wait, the process is not yet complete. Her soul has yet to take a root in this vessel."

The Terran stopped, he realized that if he were to make any move, he might disturb the entire process, and all the hard work might be lost. Aluwa looked at Amelia and said, "Repeat a few sounds after me, as perfectly as you can."

Amelia took a deep breath to calm her mind and nodded to the Queen of Souls. Then the two of them began to chant some words under their breaths. Shi Lang was anxious, he wanted to barge through the norms and be with his wife, the people around had all stopped chanting, and many of them were looking at him.

Shi Lang had waited for a long time to revive her, he had worked harder than ever with one goal in mind, to be with his beloved, however, now that she was present before him, yet he had to stay away, this feeling was not sitting well with him. However, he had to follow the ways of the Meryls.

Minutes turned into hours, and finally, the soul energy in the void rippled, and Shi Lang saw a wave of the similar energy radiated from Amelia's body. The young man looked at Aluwa, who sighed and said, "Hail Isis."

The people all bowed and said, "Hail Isis!"

Isis was the word they used to address the everlasting soul. The glow receded and Aluwa sighed in relief, she turned to look at Shi Lang and said, "You can talk to her when she wakes up the next time. After that, come and see me, I have a few things to tell you about."

Shi Lang looked at her and asked, "What do you mean about her waking up next time?"

Aluwa smiled and replied, "The soul has taken root, it will need a few hours to sort out the memories of the past, mind you, the memories are fragmented and so you might have to help her out with them."

Shi Lang nodded, and Aluwa said, "You can stay in the square to wait for her."

She then waved her hand to the rest of the people and they all gradually began to move away. The Terran walked over to the square, the warrior who could even face death felt his knees grow soft. He almost toppled over as he took a step closer. His gaze was locked on Amelia's face before him.

The young man took a deep breath and sat down on the ground and looked at Amelia, who sat within the reach of his hand. He recalled the moment he had seen her for the first time in the Federal Star Academy. Although it wasn't something recent and it had been hundreds of years, he still remembered the day.

Amelia had sneaked up to him, and she watched him practice from a distance. Although, she had told him the reason as to why she loved him was because of his resilience and brilliance even at the lower realms, and even thought he was not in the battle course, his achievements in the one star level was higher than the rest.

Many people pitied him back then but he wasn't effected by that. As he went deeper down the memory lane, the face before him grew even more appeasing to look at. He forgot how much time had passed, after an unknown amount of time, he found that Amelia had opened her eyes and she was looking back at him with the same revere as him.

They both regained their focus and they asked simultaneously, "How are you.."

Their voice overlapped and they were surprised before they broke up in a chuckle, Shi Lang said, "You go first."

Amelia saw the sparkle in his eyes and how the young man was shivering from excitement, she asked, "It must have been hard on you, right?"

Shi Lang shook his head and said, "Why would it be hard? I had you with me, all the time."

Amelia smiled, and her eyes teared up, as she asked, "I am sorry."

Shi Lang frowned and he reached out to grab her hand as he said, "Don't be, it was not your fault, but a test of the destiny. However, we are back together again, no?"

Amelia nodded softly and asked, "Where is Xiao Tao and the rest? Are they okay?"

Shi Lang nodded and replied, "Yes, they are fine, I have a new disciple as well. She is brilliant with her sword, and Jenkins and Darxc have managed to ascend alongside Carole. The forces are expanding and the realm is stable. I became a supreme after you left, that helped me handle a lot of situations. Though we have something big coming at us, we will be ready, this time you won't suffer."

Amelia nodded and said, "In that moment, when Juan Xuan attacked me, I didn't suffer as much as you did. I have realized that it is not about those who leave, but the ones who are left behind."

Shi Lang smiled and said, "Don't leave me behind this time."

Amelia was about to reply when Raksha manifested beside him and said, "Amy, you know this fool almost wanted to destroy the world had he failed in forging your new vessel."

She then held Shi Lang's hand and raised it high for Amelia to see the black seal on his palm. The Terran wanted to resist but Raksha didn't let him. She said, "He mastered the laws of time, and he wanted to bet all the time in the world to bring you back. So, for my sake, don't leave him behind again."

Amelia's face turned sorrowful and she inched forward to grab Shi Lang's robe and hugged him tightly as she said, "Fool! What good would it be to come back in the world where you didn't exist?"

Shi Lang smiled as he sensed her embrace around him and said, "I don't know."

Amelia smacked his back gently and said, "Don't think such things again, I will be careful as well."

Shi Lang hummed as he coiled his arms around her, and snuggled. The two of them were finally able to hold each other and that was the best feeling for them. It was such an experience that they couldn't express it with words.

After a few minutes, Shi Lang said, "Let's go and see Her Highness Aluwa, before heading home."
