Ace Of Terrans

Chapter 1021: Impending Tribulation.

Shi Lang came to a barren mountain on the northern continent, and he dug himself a cave on the side. The Terran went inside the cave and apart from leaving himself a ventilation duct, he covered everything and began to mediate. After one day of meditation, he took out barrel, filled it with spirit water, and then took out the jade bottle that Hou Bing had given him.

He carefully opened the bottle, and a strong vital energy assaulted him. The young man took a deep breath, and his blood circulation speed climbed up. Without wasting anytime, he emptied the content of the bottle inside the barrel, and watched the temperature rise quickly. Then he took out the bottle with the blood of the Azure Dragon.

He took off his clothes and even removed his communicator as he mumbled, "This will hurt."

He uncorked the bottle and let the drop of dragon blood, and then before he could even jump into the barrel, he felt as if his body was burning from inside out. He gathered his wits and stepped inside the boiling water. Shi Lang, who had braved many dangers couldn't help but groan from pain that coursed through his body.

The boiling water outside was grinding his body as if it was put in a shredder. While on the inside, his blood had turned to fire that was burning everything. The only thing Shi Lang could do to save himself was to hold on to his consciousness and ride the tide.

The two drops of blood were rebuilding his body, and the process was excruciating and it was repetitive. Shi Lang's body first took time to slowly absorb the vitality of the blood as much as it could. However, after one night, his body overate, and it began to fall apart.

Various parts of Shi Lang's body exploded and mixed up with the boiling water. The pain caused the man to almost faint or break the barrel. However, he couldn't lose control. He was coiled inside the barrel, even his head was immersed inside the boiling water.

The young man needed to endure profuse pain that reached the depth of his souls. Then the body used the vitality left behind to reform his damaged body, and this time it improved to another level. His body was recreated completely, everything apart from his Dantian and brain were recreated, over seven times.

After fifteen days, the water in the barrel had calmed down, and it appeared to be clear. There was not trace of blood or vital energy inside it. The spirit water had long been evaporated, the liquid inside the barrel now was liquified version of the waste that was discarded by Shi Lang's body.

The young man reached out to grab the rim of the barrel and pushed himself out of the slime, and he fell on the ground. The spiritual energy in the surroundings rushed towards him, and Shi Lang calmly absorbed it all. He didn't have to do anything because he could sense how fluently this energy was moving around his body at such a high speed that it only took one breath to pass through all the acupoints that were needed to cultivate.

Shi Lang lay on the bed with his eyes closed and began to inhale huge amounts of spiritual energy before he reached back to the peak of his strength and then he let out a breath of relief. He stood up from the ground and said, "Ugh, Hou Bing, you trickster. I will settle this later."

The young man then waved his hand and found that his body had grown so strong that it could cause ripples in the void even with a calm movement. He decided that he would try to get used to it after he crosses the tribulation. He sat in the void, with his legs crossed and he began to cultivate. The Dao Resonance from his body spread in the surroundings.

He was growing stronger at a pace that would surprise even Hou Bing and the rest who were watching him from a distance.

Cao Ming had come over from the Martial Spirit Hall, and was guarding his disciple from a distance. Along, with him Prince Bei Ming and the other dignitaries of the Asura hall have arrived. Beside, Cao Ming, there were also some disciples of the Martial Spirit Hall who had come over.

They were not told by anyone to come over, but the Dao Resonance leaking from this place were so strong that all the strong people came over. However, on the peak of the mountain, they found four people sitting around a stone table and having tea.

The faces of the four people shocked the rest of the people, and they declared that the mountain was a no approach zone. The disciples were free to comprehend as much as they could but that was all.

On top of the mountain, Hou Bing sat with three people. One girl and two men. One of the men was burly and had a prideful expression. Another man had a scholarly temperament to himself, while the woman was extremely beautiful with a fierce vibe about her.

Hou Bing asked, "What do you think so far?"

The burly man said, "Sister, your word is good. He absorbed my blood with great ease, and I recognize him worthy."

The other two nodded. The scholarly man said, "I hope he can stop Zen."

The fierce lady snorted and said, "Fool!"

The lady looked at the scholar and said, "It is because of you that we all have to handle this shitty mess. Why is it that you are the wisest of us, yet you fail to detect the true nature of people? Every fucking time it is because of you that we have to suffer."

Hou Bing sighed and said, "Sis, stop it. He is not at fault, his luck is just a bit crooked."

The lady snorted and said, "He is comprehending at a high speed, he should be able to come out within two weeks."

The scholar took a deep breath and sighed, "He is using the laws of time to condense his Dao Crown even further. This is unexpected, in the higher realms he would need to invoke the authority and power of the Time Dao, it would attract the attention of many people."

Hou Bing shook her head and said, "He is not a fool. He is using the time laws to elevate his realm, but if you sense it carefully, he is inducing the laws of lightning, sword Dao, and Spear Dao inside the Dao Crown. You people don't understand him, he is a cunning person."

The burly man asked, "Don't you worry? What if this cunning human went down the same path as Zen?"

Hou Bing shook her head and replied, "I don't he is not as lowly as that monk. The reason he strives for strength is just so that he can be with his wife, and children. He is a balanced spirit, won't look at what doesn't belong to him, but won't give up what is his."

The three people exchanged glanced but didn't say anything. They all began a game of four-way chess, and the game went on for days. They were still playing when suddenly, Hou Bing, who had just picked up a pawn to make a move froze. She looked at the sky and sighed as she said, "Let's continue above the clouds."

The three nodded and they vanished from the spot. Everyone saw black clouds covering a distance of hundred kilometers. They swarmed with golden lightning that quickly condensed into hundreds of armored soldiers. The soldiers were akin to an army of the heavens.

They were domineering, and they all gazed at the mountain where Shi Lang was comprehending the Dao. One of the soldiers stepped up, wielding the spear he hurled the weapon at the mountain.

The spear clashed with the mountain and the huge mountain that looked unshakable exploded with a loud noise.

BOOM!

The world trembled, and the people shivered. They all moved back a few steps. No one had the mood to comprehend anything now, because the heavenly soldiers descended on the world.

Prince Beiming took a deep breath and said, "Only when the soldiers bow, can you become an Emperor."

...

In the void, Shi Lang sat with his eyes closed, as dust flew around him. He was undisturbed by the explosion around him. Only when the second soldier hurled the spear at him, did Shi Lang open his eyes and waved his palm indifferently.

The palm and the spear collided, and the weapon that was capable of destroying the mountain, was hurled away as if it was an insignificant pebble. Shi Lang stood up in the void, and took off the robe to wear his battle armor.

He took out the spear and said, "Raksha, if you didn't wake up now, it would be really late to do anything else later."

The sword spirit hummed but didn't wake up. Shi Lang knew that he had to fight these thousands of soldiers with his spear. He wasn't unconfident, on the contrary, he thought if he would cause greater destruction with this weapon.

He stroked the head of the spear, and the weapon echoed with a dragon's roar. Shi Lang said, "Come, let's fight."
