Accidentally Reincarnated in Cultivation World

Chapter 104: Challenger

The guard escorted Yu Xuan to the disciple registration counter.

As he looked around, Yu Xuan noticed there weren't many people in line — which made sense. Most disciples in this area had already advanced in their cultivation, so few lingered at the Qi Condensation level.

Still, a question nagged at him.

Why had these cultivators paused their progress?

Were they rebuilding their foundations? Had they missed some opportunity? Or had they, like him, arrived just now or rather slightly earlier than them?

They were all from the Immortal Realm, after all, he expected more from them.

But then again, no matter the world, people were still people. The essence didn't change.

He dropped the thought and simply waited as the two disciples ahead of him completed their registrations.

When it was his turn, the staff cultivator at the counter said, "Medallion."

Yu Xuan handed over his golden medallion. Almost immediately, the man's expression shifted. His demeanor grew noticeably more respectful, and even the nearby guard seemed to breathe a little easier.

Only elders could recognize Yu Xuan's medallion as an irregular one — a unique identity. To everyone else, it simply marked him as an Inner Disciple.

And that made all the difference.

In the Heaven's Immortal Sect, Inner Disciples were the backbone. Above them were only Core Disciples and the personal disciples of Elders.

The staff member quickly processed the registration and returned the medallion with a polite nod.

"Your name will be called. Head to the designated platform when it is."

Yu Xuan accepted it with a light smile.

With his job done, the guard beside him straightened and said, "I'll be taking my leave now. Just… try not to cause trouble this time."

Yu Xuan gave a casual nod, and the guard returned to his duties.

Now, all that was left was the wait.

Yu Xuan made his way to the challenger's observation area — a space with elevated seating and a clear view of the matches underway.

From here, he spotted the red-haired man who had lost yesterday, still nursing his pride but watching the arena intently.

Currently, a match was in progress between a short, red-haired girl and a towering man whose body resembled solid stone.

The man's rock-like physique moved with the sluggish weight of a boulder, but each of his attacks struck like collapsing mountains.

Surprisingly, it was the girl who dominated the exchange.

Her fists were wrapped in a blazing red aura, sharp and precise — each punch carried the condensed will of a seasoned fighter.

Fist Intent.

Gasps and murmurs rippled through the crowd.

"She's already grasped Fist Intent at Qi Condensation?"

"This era is insane…"

"Her intent's mixed with fire. Must be her technique reinforcing it or even natural affinity."

"Senior, why do you sound like the match commentator?"

"Shut up before I use my Sword Intent to part your hairline."

Conversations overlapped in every corner of the gallery.

Yu Xuan's eyes shifted briefly to a higher platform, the VIP section.

A row of Inner and Core Disciples sat with quiet dignity, some with eyes half-lidded in boredom, others in subtle discussion. The air around them buzzed with the suppressed aura of strength, making even casual laughter feel heavy.

Below, the fight pressed on.

The red-haired girl weaved through her opponent's attacks like dancing flame. Each time the stone-bodied man swung a mighty fist, she answered with a burning strike that forced him backward, chipping away bits of his hardened skin.

Her feet never stopped moving. She ducked, twisted, and countered with grace, sending fiery punches to the man's sides and joints.

One clean uppercut sent him stumbling and a crack visible formed across his rocky chest.

But the stone giant didn't fall.

Instead, he growled and leapt backward, gaining distance. Then something strange happened.

He curled his large body into a tight fetal position, impossible for a man his size. His skin began to shift, rough ridges turned smoother, his limbs locked into a compact form.

And then he spun.

Like a giant rolling boulder, he turned into a spinning projectile and launched himself at the red-haired girl with terrifying speed.

Gasps erupted from the crowd.

The girl's eyes widened as the living missile crashed into her. The impact hurled her across the arena and into the stone floor, dust clouding around her fallen figure.

Silence followed.

Then murmurs —

"Did he win?"

"Is she unconscious?"

"Wait… she's getting up!"

Sure enough, the girl pushed herself upright, blood trailing from her lip. Her eyes burned with defiance.

The rock-like man, though panting, wore a grin. He had clearly used a trump card — but it had exhausted him. His spinning technique had left deep grooves across the arena, and his movements now were sluggish.

The red-haired girl steadied herself, her aura flaring once again.

She dashed forward, this time faster, more aggressive. With each strike, the red glow around her fists intensified. She no longer defended only attacked.

Her punches tore through his stone arms, cracking them. Her footwork was relentless, denying him a second chance to retreat.

Then came the final blow, her fist, blazing like a falling star, smashed against his chest.

The rock-like man staggered and fell to one knee. He tried to rise… but failed.

"Victory Lan Xue!" the referee declared.

Cheers burst from the crowd.

Some cried tears of joy. Others cursed, clutching their medallion now that they have lost bets. Excited debates erupted, analyzing her technique, her use of intent, her final combo.

Yu Xuan, arms crossed and smiling, muttered, "Now this… this is what makes the arena worth it."

The crowd roared in celebration.

Yu Xuan liked this match, it had it's own up and downs and when that rock-like turned into projectile and crashed with the girl, Yu Xuan thought of a familiar alien the green shirt guy becomes after hitting his watch.

He just hoped there would be a treasure in this world which could do the same wonders.

Anyway who didn't dream of turning into a alien after hitting their watch. Everyone did.
