Abyssal Sovereign: The Demon's Dominion

Chapter 252: Look

"I know, my Lords," Kilu said immediately, kneeling and bowing low. The Seraphims' eyes narrowed slightly, their gazes like divine blades as Kilu continued.

"I bring urgent news regarding the Abyssal front we are engaged in."

At these words, the previously indifferent Seraphims suddenly showed interest.

"Speak," one of them said, his deep, thunderous voice shaking the chamber. "If your news holds value, your desertion may be… overlooked."

Kilu swallowed hard.

In the presence of beings like this, one felt hollowed out like their soul hung by threads.

Rank 3 beings could not typically kill each other, but such limits did not apply to Rank 4s.

These were the true undying. Not even Rank 5 beings could kill them only seal them at best.

Kilu knew he stood before entities who could end his existence with a mere glance.

"It's about a demon I encountered… A middle Rank 3," Kilu began, choosing each word with care.

"He defeated five angels with ease."

He paused. Their interest didn't shift. After all, rare outliers existed among both demons and angels.

"But what came next was... terrifying," he said, lowering his head.

"I tried to finish him off. He was struggling. I was certain of his end… until he awakened a Primordial Demon Body."

Kilu raised his eyes.

"His aura exploded. My full-strength attack didn't even leave a scratch."

The Seraphims' expressions did not change.

Kilu felt dread creep in.

Do they already know? Am I... useless? Is this the end?

But beneath their calm exterior, the Seraphims were already in silent conversation, shocked and intrigued.

After what felt like an eternity, one finally spoke.

"Kilu."

His heart nearly stopped.

"Y-Yes, my Lord… What is your will?"

Kilu's voice trembled, his body slightly shaking.

Is this my execution?

"Take me to that demon."

Kilu's eyes widened in disbelief. He hadn't expected mercy let alone a Seraphim's personal intervention.

"Yes, my Lord!" he said quickly.

One Seraphim rose and followed Kilu.

For the first time in his life, Kilu saw a Seraphim take form.

It wasn't the Seraphim's true essence only a vessel forged to exist in this reality but it still overwhelmed him.

Eyes like piercing divinity…

A body of condensed power beyond laws…

It wasn't law,...it was something deeper. Raw. Primordial.

As if the very concept of law was born from it.

"Let's go," the Seraphim said simply.

Kilu bowed deeply and led the way.

In mere seconds, both vanished from Heaven, descending back to the planet.

********

Elsewhere…

Void stood in silence, still lamenting the escape of the Angel he had fought.

Suddenly, a strange sensation seized his heart.

A warning? A shift in fate?

Before he could process it, Kilu appeared again this time with renewed confidence and a strange, dangerous look in his eyes.

"You came back to die?" Void asked coldly.

Kilu only smirked.

"No… you're the one about to be erased."

Void frowned. He could sense nothing unusual no presence, no pressure.

Kilu? Confident? Why?

And then… Void acted.

"I've never tasted the soul of a high-rank angel before," he said calmly, launching toward Kilu, intending to end it swiftly.

But....

Void's body stopped mid-stride.

Something blocked him.

Someone.

Before Kilu now stood another figure.

Bathed in divine light.

Kilu exhaled in relief. For a moment, he had feared the Seraphim might let him die. Maybe… his sin had not been forgiven yet.

"I've seen enough."

A gentle male voice echoed. "You're a talented being, … Too bad you're a demon."

Void felt a shiver. His heart pounded. That earlier heartbeat skip..it had been a warning.

Now, he understood why.

This wasn't a Rank 3.

It was a Rank 4 being

"Who are you?" Void asked in shock.

The figure, still obscured by divine radiance, replied calmly:

"Me? I'm a Seraphim. A low-bloodline one, at that."

Void was stunned.

He couldn't move. His body was locked in place as if the laws of motion had been suspended just for him.

"You have great potential,.." the Seraphim said.

"You could one day reach Rank 4. And beyond. Maybe even Rank 5. But unfortunately, this is where your journey ends."

There was genuine regret in the angel's voice. Guilt, even.

Void looked down.

Is this… how my story ends?

After countless battles… struggles… suffering...

This is it?

Then…

Void laughed.

"Hahahaha… If I'm going out, then I'll go out knowing I gave it everything."

His eyes burned with defiance.

The Seraphim smiled faintly.

"What is your name, demon?"

Void grinned.

"Void."

"Then I will remember it. And I'll grant your last wish, fight with everything you have."

At once, Void's body unlocked.

He raised his palm.

His sword, buried in the earth, trembled then flew into his hand.

His aura ignited.

Flames of power burst around him. The planet, the galaxy, even the universe around them… cracked and collapsed as Void's sword opened its fifth hole.

He began burning his very essence.

He knew now this Seraphim was Rank 4, possibly more.

He couldn't win. But what did it matter?

He would burn everything.

For one final battle.

Void roared and charged.

Boom.

A slash.

A punch.

A kick.

An explosion of law, strength, willpower, fury, and death.

Void unleashed it all. His very soul disintegrated with every strike.

But…

Nothing worked.

His attacks didn't connect...not truly.

As if the Seraphim existed in a higher dimension, where Void's powers were meaningless.

Like trying to punch light through a mirror.

Time passed.

Void panted, empty.

His body… burned away. His energy hollowed out.

Before him stood the Seraphim.

And Kilu.

Watching in silence.

Kilu smiled wide as he watched Void give everything he had yet still fail to even scratch the Seraphim.

"That's all you've got? Impressive… but sadly, your existence ends now. Your time is over. Your death… is today."

The Seraphim declared coldly.

"Die."

With just a single word, Void felt his body collapse.

He was falling… and worse..he was dying.

So this is the end...?

Void thought as he felt his very existence unraveling.

Meanwhile, Kilu's eyes gleamed with joy.

Finally… you're dead, he thought with glee. His thoughts drifted to what reward the Seraphim might give him for exposing the Primordial Demon's location.

But then....

"Who's dead?"

A cold, distant voice echoed, cracking the air around him.

Suddenly, the Seraphim vanished.

Space itself… vanished.

Kilu's eyes shot open wide.

He was still on the planet..kneeling.

Void stood before him, grinning.

"I… I never left?" Kilu stammered, stunned.

"You didn't even move," Void said calmly.

Kilu felt dread wash over him like his very soul had been torn apart.

"HOW?! HOW?! I REACHED HEAVEN—I WATCHED YOU DIE—I SPOKE TO THE SERAPHIM—I—"

Kilu shouted, eyes wide in pure shock and disbelief.

"Law of Reality," Void said flatly.

Just those three words and Kilu's eyes lit up in realization the a self hurting smile on his face.
