Chapter 242: Impact
"Brothers," Darius called softly as Theron and Caius sighed.
"You're the eldest and deserve the throne. You taught me most of what I know, so you deserve it, King Caius," Theron finally said, his eyes closed. His expression was painful, the kind that showed he didn't want to say it but he had to.
Everyone could feel it Theron let go of something that meant everything to him. All the grievances, all the ambition, the will to fight for the throne… it vanished.
Respect for Theron surged as everyone quietly admired him.
"Brother, I'm sorry. I may not be pureblood I'm only half your brother but you deserve this throne. A true leader is someone who can give up what they want most for the sake of others. Tell me, who else fits that description if not you?" Caius said, shaking his head.
"Brother, I don't care if we have different mothers. You're still my brother, always. So take it," Theron replied firmly.
"And I'm proud to be your brother," Caius said, patting Theron's shoulder, "but I'm part of the Dreadborne Organization. I can't be king while serving another force."
Everyone clapped.
The tension of the past weeks had finally lifted. Caius stood up, laughing.
"Everyone, welcome the new King of the Federation....King Theron!" Caius announced, and the room erupted in celebration. Everyone was joyful except for one.
Darwin.
He looked at Caius, then down at his burning arm, wincing from the pain. But then he froze. On Caius's arm, he saw the exact same tattoo as the one on his own left arm.
"Wait… what's going on? Why do I have the same tattoo as the eldest prince?" Darwin thought, stunned.

At the Abyss…
"My stats system…" Void muttered with a grin.
Host: Void
Rank: Rank 3 (Quasi High-Level)
Race: Primordial Demon (Ancestor of the Demon Race)
Souls: 1 Billion / 1,000,000,000,000,000,000
Weapon: Erebus (Origin Eater) — Strength: Mythical
Laws:
Middle-Level: Fire, Gravity, Infinity, Soul, Sword Essence, Strength, Darkness, Water, Wind
Low-Level: Destruction, Creation
+99 Basic Laws
"I've grown…" Void said in disbelief.
(You have, Host. It feels like just yesterday when you were a Rank 0 demon. Everything was dangerous. Everyone was stronger. You were beaten by Dark Side, torn through space, nearly dead… and now, here you are. Stronger than ever. Soon, you'll reach Rank 4… beyond the multiverse.)
"Yes, System… it still feels like yesterday. Just a young 18-year-old boy logging into a VR game... not knowing that very game would change everything. I had emotions, now I barely do. I was alone, and now… I command an army," Void said as he looked ahead at the approaching Rank 3 angels.
Their divine auras shook the very fabric of reality. Demons screamed as light touched them.
(Host, what's your goal? Truly?)
"My goal?" Void smiled coldly. "To become the strongest being in existence."
(Why?)
"Why not? If I'm not the strongest… what's the point of living? I want to find who created me. I want to surpass them. I want to break through that final wall," Void said, his eyes unwavering.
(I see. Good luck, Host.)
"Luck doesn't work for demons," Void said with a dark chuckle.
*******
"You treacherous vile creatures! You dare kill a War Archangel?" a Rank 3 angel roared.
"And so what?" a Rank 3 demon grinned.
"You don't even spare children!" another angel shouted, angered.
The demons laughed harder.
"That's the difference between us and you. You're hypocrites. If it were a young demon, you'd kill him in the name of 'justice', wouldn't you? But when we do the same, suddenly it's evil. You call yourselves righteous… but who decided that? Who said angels are the chosen ones? I swear by the Abyss Origin—this war will end with your race in ruin!" a Peak Rank 3 demon snarled.
"Angels... attack!" a Rank 3 archangel commanded.
Void unsheathed Erebus.
"Unlock," he said.
Four of the nine seals clicked open.
BOOM.
The armies clashed. Reality fractured. A black hole formed and collapsed as time and space were obliterated.
From the fourth layer of space down to the first, colossal figures emerged.
************
In Another Universe far far away…
"Kiya… you must be strong. To reach the Dofus Realm, you must let go of everything. Can you do that? Let go of your master… and chase the ultimate path?" an old man asked.
The young man, Kiya, remained silent, then nodded with determination.
He had suffered too much. Friends lost. Loved ones sacrificed. All so he could keep going. He couldn't stop now.
Not for himself but for them.
This universe was plagued by a monstrous evil, Walack, who devoured worlds. Only one thing could stop him: someone who reached the mythical Dofus Realm. Kiya was the closest in existence.
But even now, that realm felt impossibly far.
"Master… I'm ready," Kiya said.
The old man looked at him with heavy eyes. Was this possible?
"If you try to break through now… what's your success rate?"
"Less than one in a million," Kiya admitted.
Dread filled the room.
Even with all his talent, even Kiya wasn't sure. But he didn't waver.
"Master, as long as there's even the smallest chance… I'll take it. Believe in me."
The old man exhaled, uncertain but proud.
"I believe you," his master said. Just as the two were speaking, a terrifying roar echoed across the skies.
"Wait... what was that?" Kiya asked, stunned.
"He's here," his master replied, his expression turning grave.
"Who? Walack?" Kiya asked in disbelief as his master slowly stood up.
"Break through. I'll buy you enough time," his master said with a deep sigh, eyes fixed on the stars above.
A terrifying shadow descended massive, dark, and ancient. A monstrous being emerged.
It was Walack.
A devourer of worlds.
"Shin, I've come to take your life... and your disciple's," the colossal being said, his voice laced with arrogance.
"Not on my watch," Shin,Kiya's master responded coldly as Kiya clenched his fists.
"Master, let me fight him. I'm ready!" Kiya shouted.
"No. Stay and break through. Facing him now will only get you killed," Shin warned.
"But Master, you.....!"
"No, Kiya! You are our only hope. Don't let us down. Remember your friends they didn't hesitate to give their lives so you could live. Don't fail them. Break through... and one day, kill this beast for them, and for me," Shin said, his voice steady.
"Master... please hold on. Please," Kiya pleaded.
Shin gave a small nod. "I will."
And in the next moment, he vanished appearing in space, a speck of light before the towering monstrosity that was Walack.
"You've come to accept your death, I see," Walack sneered.
"Never not in a thousand lifetimes," Shin answered with a smile as he launched his attack.
Below, Kiya's heart ached, pierced by pain and rage. He knew... his master wouldn't survive. The last person he cared about would die again because of his powerlessness.
No.
He wouldn't let that happen.
With a roar, Kiya released every ounce of energy within him, pushing to break through. Just as Shin and Walack were about to clash, both felt their hearts skip a beat.
They looked in a particular direction.
Two incomprehensibly large and seemingly infinite beings were moving through space toward each other and then...
They clashed.
The universe trembled.
Space rippled and distorted. Kiya looked up, eyes wide.
"What is this...?" he whispered, shocked. He could feel the fabric of their reality unraveling.
"That attack… it's not even from this space," Shin said, his voice shaking.
"M-Master… is it… is the attack coming toward us?" Kiya stammered, noticing the growing intensity of the spatial ripples.
His master swallowed hard.
Even Walack, the devourer of worlds, had fear etched across his monstrous face.
And then it came
A dread unlike anything they had ever felt.
A pressure so heavy, so immense, it made them feel like dust.
"We… we are nothing but ants," Walack said in disbelief.
And then..
There was no then.
That universe collapsed into nothingness.
And it wasn't the only one.
Countless universes were being erased by the devastating war between the angels and demons beings whose mere clash could wipe out reality itself.
