Chapter 658: Morgaine's Bloodline Purity
"An invitation to visit the Dominare royal ground?" Morgaine said from the side, looking at the panel, which soon faded from view.
"Exactly, and according to the info I've gotten, that's highly unusual. In fact, it's suspicious..."
"In what way?" Ryuk asked, and she explained.
"Every family is willing to accept back those from Endearth who are affiliated with them. Sure, but it's not to the point where they're sending a welcome."
"You could say they're more or less reluctantly accepting the Fallen Angels back, so as not to seem as if they did nothing to help those lost to the unfortunate phenomenon."
"They're doing it to save their good image, and so..."
"An invitation would be the last thing they would send..." Ryuk completed.
"Exactly," she said, as his gaze drifted to the memories in his head, but then the words awakened him.
"Perhaps, it's due to Morgaine's abnormal bloodline testing?" Old Jack suddenly asked and he turned to him.
"Abnormal bloodline testing?" he asked, and the Half-Fallen one spoke up first.
"Yes."
"When we did the identity verification, a necessary part of that was to have the bloodline purity tested."
"A relatively minor issue."
"The highest bloodline test of the entire Enderahian Fallen Angels was 31.1%, and that was Jack's," she said, as Ryuk nodded.
Old Jack was a true Fallen, so it kind of made sense that his bloodline was the purest.
"But when Morgaine did her bloodline purity testing..." he said, drawing Ryuk's attention.
"It was 87.9%."
"Huh!?" Ryuk paused in his motion, as he looked to the Half-Fallen one, who nodded before saying:
"The one who tested her also had the same reaction. They even thought the machine was broken, and they used five different machines just to make sure."
"The result was the same—a bloodline purity of 87.9%."
"According to the official I spoke with, it was unlike anything she had ever seen or even heard of in her entire existence..."
"Since it was public and done in the face of more than a dozen Fallen officials, I'm guessing the news already spread out and managed to reach the ears of the Dominare Family."
"That must truly be the reason why they'd be willing to go as far as sending an invite..." she said, agreeing with Old Jack, who watched as Ryuk slowly turned to Morgaine, who had her right cheek swelling up from forcing down too much in one bite.
"Awww, who would've thought Princess Morgaine would be so talented..." he said cheekily as Morgaine rolled her eyes.
"Talented my ass. If I'm talented, what are you then?" Morgaine said, unimpressed, as Ryuk shrugged his shoulders before replying:
"It's still amazing you have a potential almost triple that of your father. It's a sign of a bright future..." he said, but then paused in shock, as he remembered the words of Radiant Blythe.
______
"Well, then you're in quite the lucky family as the little girl is going places..."
_____
'So that was what she meant? Seems like the news had reached her ears too.'
'Is that why she...'
"That reminds me, Ryuk..." The words suddenly rang out as Ryuk was brought out of his thoughts, turning to look at the Half-Fallen.
"When we first met, you were at the Origin stage, right?" she asked, as Ryuk nodded.
"And you were 16?"
"That's right," Old Jack said.
He knew when Ryuk left Grade E for Grade B and was well aware of his age.
"Talking of potential, isn't it a bit too monstrous that you went from the Origin stage at 16 to the Eternal stage at what, three years passed, right? So, you should be 20," she said, but Morgaine shook her head.
"No, he's not 20."
"Oh really?"
"Yes, he got stuck in some ruin while 2 years passed on Enderah, but only 6 months passed for him. And then he disappeared for one more year."
"So he should be 18 now, right?" Morgaine asked, turning to Ryuk, whose expression turned strange for a second.
[Age: 17!]
The system notification flashed before his gaze as Ryuk sighed.
"Actually, I'm still 17," he said, as all motion instantly ceased in the room and their gazes turned to him, jaws dropping.
"You're still 17? What do you mean?" Old Jack said, and he explained.
"It's just like Morgaine said, I was 16, and then I got stuck in a portal for 6 months. When I came out, I was 17."
"But then I disappeared for one year, but, in the ruin I got stuck in, only 3 weeks passed, so..."
"You're still 17!!!?" Morgaine said in shock, as Ryuk nodded slowly.
"Yes, I am 17."
"Tch, dickhead!" she said out loud, drawing a confused expression from Ryuk.
'To think, I actually asked a 17-year-old to...' Morgaine thought, her head growing red when she remembered the memory of how she had jumped onto him on the bed the last time.
'That was underage abuse even on Enderah.'
"So it took a year to go from Origin stage to the Eternal stage?" the Half-Fallen one asked, unbelieving of her own words, but Old Jack thought:
'He's already past the Eternity Stage.'
He had fought with Ryuk after he woke up, and even though he was at the Eternity, he couldn't leave a single scratch on Ryuk and had been completely overwhelmed by him during the battle.
Any Eternity stage expert would never be able to deal with him so easily, so Ryuk must have definitely surpassed Eternity.
He didn't say that aloud, simply playing along with Lynia.
"How pure is your Knull bloodline to grow so fast?" she asked, but then Ryuk soon noticed the caution in her eyes.
'If his knull bloodline being so pure is what enabled him to grow this fast, then that isn't something to be happy about," Lynia thought to herself, but then watched as Ryuk shook his head.
"My Knull bloodline is pure enough, I guess, but it's not really the reason for growing so fast. There are many factors around it..." Ryuk said, but looking at the Half-Fallen one, who seemed like she wouldn't leave his neck alone until he answered her, or at least told her it wasn't due to his Knull bloodline.
He replied...
