Abyss Draconis

Chapter 655: Emissaries Of Dominion

"Perhaps, it's what even made them Calamities in the first place..." Ryuk mused in suspicion.

He was missing seven body parts, and there just happened also to be seven Calamities. It was too much of a coincidence, so he could only guess that the reason they were called Calamities in the first place was due to his body parts.

'I'll get it all back. Every single thing they ripped off me, I'll get back,' he swore silently to himself, his hands folding into a fist—but then...

He could feel a minor disturbance in the air around him as he turned his head to find the Fallen Guards behind him on their feet, cautiously watching his clenched fist.

"It's okay..." Ryuk said to them with a smile, as his fist unclenched and he turned, looking below him silently.

The two Fallen Guards looked at each other, their eyes still lit with suspicion, before they took their seats.

For a second, the motion of his hand clenching into a fist and the faint aura had shaken them to their feet.

With a regained peace, Ryuk turned back to the system before he asked,

"Hey, system, you mentioned I awakened some new skills from the fusion with my skeletal system, right?" Ryuk asked it, remembering the notifications he had received previously, and the system replied:

[Yes, you have.]

[A total of..]

CAWWWWWWWW

Suddenly, the Amun cried out loud, as Ryuk's attention was diverted.

He turned around to find the bird swooping down from the sky roughly.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOM

An explosion rocked out from the side, slamming towards the Amun's side area.

The aura of it was so powerful it sent the three Fallen Guards flying off the Amun's back, while the Amun itself was already sent tilting off its path.

Ryuk reacted instantly, his palm reaching out towards the ball of golden energy that was flying toward them.

'Activate Sovereign Rewriting,' he ordered, and when the ball of golden energy moved closer—and just when it seemed it would smash into both Ryuk and the Amun—it suddenly halted in the air and a second later, it dispersed into golden motes of light that harmlessly covered Ryuk and the Amun's figure but did them no harm whatsoever.

"ALL MUST STAY AWAY FROM THE PATH OF HIS DOMINION!"

The loud words echoed out as Ryuk turned his head upwards, halting in shock when he felt the gigantic white-colored bird flying above them.

Around it were various golden Amuns, who were thrice as big as the one he was currently on.

And above them were various Archangels and ArchGuards!

'What the hell?' Ryuk silently muttered to himself in shock, feeling the power wave above his head.

There were about 10 Amuns and about 7 ArchGuards and 3 Archangels, all acting as escorts to the gigantic white bird.

"Hmph," one of them—the one who had sent the attack—hmphed coldly, looking at Ryuk, before they continued on their path.

And he noticed how everyone on their path instantly all moved away, in fear and reverence, and soon they were out of his sight.

'10 Apocrypha stage beings acting as an escort!? Just who are those?'

"Those are Emissaries of the House of Dominions." The words echoed out from beside Ryuk, coming from the Guards who had run off from the attack.

He took his gaze off them before turning to the Amun.

"You okay?" He communicated with it and it replied.

"It's just a scratch. I won't die..." it said as Ryuk silently hummed.

Some of its down wings had turned to the dirty color of ash, due to the waves of that attack, but apart from that, it was still in good shape.

The other guards sat down silently and quickly continued on their journey.

Just three minutes later, they arrived at the Seraphim Initiate's castle.

Ryuk's return and the presence of his ArchGuard Halo brought quite the gasp of surprise, but he quickly weaved through, moving back into the castle and coming to stand once more before the Seraphim Initiate.

Although when he found her, he discovered a couple of floating golden panels in front of her, her face covered in a focused and serious expression.

"Rise..." she said, as he stood to his feet, watching as she swiped the various panels off her face, leaving just one remaining, and Ryuk watched as it turned to him before magnifying.

Soon enough, an image appeared—one that made Ryuk's eyebrow furrow before her words came in.

"Is this your family?" she asked him, as silence reigned in the golden hall for a while.

Before Ryuk, the image on the hologram was that of three people.

And it was none other than The Half-Fallen One, Old Jack, and Morgaine.

But what he didn't understand was why she brought this up.

"Why?" he asked in return as her golden eyes fixed on him before she hummed.

"Sounds like a yes."

"Well, then you're in quite the lucky family as the little girl is going places..." she said with a grin, watching as Ryuk's confused expression grew more, but then the holograms faded off.

"Congrats on being an ArchGuard," she stated, a bit of impression in her eyes, but nothing too serious, as he watched her nonchalantly lie back on her throne.

"Normally, I would have needed to acquire an Angelic Oath from you, but I don't think that's necessary with the attention your sister just got on herself."

"So, you'll be fine."

"You can leave now, and yes, one of the guards will lead you back to your family's current residing home." She said, and Ryuk opened his lips to say something, but in the end, decided to stay quiet, silently turning his back and moving out.

His hand reached for the golden gate, but just as he was about to open it, the voice rang out.

"That little girl..." it said, as Ryuk halted, turning his head to the side to look at the Seraphim Initiate who beheld quite a suspicious expression on her face.

"I really hope she's just your sister, and nothing more..."
