Chapter 639: I Speak For My Milk!
"Re-activate Home Mode." Her voice rang out as the metallic ground faded off, replaced by snowy white rugs.
From the sides, white sofas appeared in an open circular format at the center of the room, while white lights lined the surface of the ceiling, quickly shifting the dim, focused lighting into a warm, homely setting.
As before, the doors also reappeared, and Ryuk's gaze sparked with interest as he looked around.
"There are four doors in here, each door containing a single bedroom along with the required amenities like a restroom and an additional cultivation room too."
"Kinda... not enough for everybody..." she voiced out as she looked at their numbers.
The truth was, she hadn't expected the presence of Rrakshha nor Antares, but Ryuk spoke up.
"I'll feel much at ease if Void and Isha stay in my room," he said before anyone else could speak, and Elder Celine thought on it for a while before nodding.
They were both his pets anyway, so it made absolute sense.
"Very well, we others each take a room, and it balances out."
"The living room is open to all..." she said as she walked toward one of the doors at the side, and Ryuk picked the one closest to him on the eastern side of the ship.
"Wait, wait, are you saying there's no kitchen around here?" Void voiced out, only to have his large snot grabbed by Ryuk, who drew him out of Isha's bosom, carrying him over his shoulder like a sack.
"Hey! Drop me! I need to speak for my milk!" Void cried out loud as Ryuk rolled his eyes, amidst rolling laughter from the others.
"You said it, Void. Only Void Cats drink milk—and you're no longer a Void Cat. You're a Void Panther, remember?" he asked mockingly as he arrived before the door.
It had no knob, so he placed his palm on it as it did a deep scan of his hand.
"New recognition created for new guest identity: Ryuk."
"Welcome to your dorm on the Snowero Interstellar Aircraft," the feminine AI voice rang out as Ryuk watched the door open up, white foggy steam rushing out as he continued in.
"Tsk. You know something, Ryuk?"
"Huh-huh?"
"I'm starting to think that being a Void Panther is kinda exaggerated," Void muttered from the side.
Ryuk shut the door behind him.
Void tried to continue its argument, but its voice got stuck in its throat as it looked around the room before it and instantly teleported, reappearing on the bed, which threw it up for about half a meter into the air before it finally lay him well, amidst the bouncing.
"Wow, I gotta admit, this is truly fluffy..." Void said, followed by the sound of its back cracking.
Isha joined soon after, but Ryuk remained focused, looking around the room instead.
A massive, low-floating bed hovered inches off the ground, its velvet sheets glowing faintly under soft blue LED strips.
Wall-length windows shimmered with smart glass, fading from transparent to a frosty mist with a single thought. A night-sky ceiling above twinkled with artificial stars, their colors shifting to match the mood of the room.
Thin light veins pulsed through the walls like circuits, currently glowing white.
White marble tiles met with plush rugs.
A full-length smart mirror lit up as he passed, scanning his vitals.
He continued to the side, watching smooth panels slide open, revealing rows of perfectly organized clothes—each item auto-sorted by color and occasion.
Surprisingly, they included gender as well, currently divided into two sections: male and female.
A curved white couch hugged the corner near the window, facing a floating coffee table.
A translucent desk blinked to life, projecting files and messages into the air with a soft hum.
{Activating Full Room Features.}
The AI voice resounded, and a hidden wall silently unfolded, revealing a screen that stretched across the far side like liquid light.
Tiny black orbs floated near the ceiling, pulsing softly with faint beat-type music.
With a blink, the entire room shifted from icy silver to deep twilight purple.
Ryuk scanned through it all, his expression merely intrigued. Eventually, he turned toward a shadowed corner.
His eyes glimmered slightly when he noticed something odd.
A docked orb-shaped drone, almost completely blended into the faint darkness.
[It's a camera.] The system notification appeared, and with a simple thought, a void vortex spiraled out and enveloped the object in black.
In an instant, it vanished, reappearing in Ryuk's palm.
He grabbed it before storing it away in the system's shop.
"Hey, what was that?"
Void noticed, but was met with Ryuk shrugging his shoulders.
"Nothing to worry about."
"And also, Void, Isha—I've got something important to tell you both..." He addressed them as they paused, their attention shifting to him.
"I'll be in a slumber throughout our travels here. I know how much you love the fluffy bed, so of course, I'll be in the meditation room."
"If you feel there's anything that needs my attention, maybe like us reaching the Void Zone or some unexpected chaos. or call from Elder Celine—"
"You can wake me up by slashing at my throat."
"Slash at your throat? Seems like you've finally lost it..." Void said with a grinning chuckle.
"Oh, please, Void. Those tiny claws won't even leave a white mark on me. I'm talking with Isha here," he said as the cat's gaze shone with disbelief.
'Did he just call me weak?'
"So, yes, both of you got it right? Don't literally slash my throat off, but wake me up if anything needs my attention."
"The more my attention is needed, the harder you should make sure I open my eyes." He asked, and Isha nodded.
"Don't worry. We'll do that," she said, and Ryuk smiled.
"Thank you, Isha."
He then opened the door that led to the meditation room and disappeared into it, the door shutting close behind him.
"Hey! Come back here, Good. Did you just call me a weakling?!" Void finally got its act together and tried to chase after Ryuk, only to be grabbed in its stomach by Isha and pulled back.
"Hey, let me go, girl! I gotta teach him a lesson!"
Isha giggled before replying.
"You can't harm him, Void."
"Well, you never know unless you try. I gotta teach that goof some much-needed lesson."
