A Seemingly Ordinary Knight

Introduction

In the mystical realm of Caeloria, a land teeming with life and power, mythical creatures roam freely. Dragons soar across the skies, their wings casting vast shadows over the ancient forests, where goblins, elves and dwarf dwell in secretive harmony. Magic flows through the very veins of this world, its presence shaping not only the landscape but the lives of those who wield it. Mages, sorcerers, and witches—masters of arcane arts—walk among the populace, some seeking knowledge, others power, as they shape the fate of Caeloria.

Among the many inhabitants of this land, humans find themselves in a curious position. Though they exist in abundance, they are not the dominant force here. Instead, they share Caeloria with other, more ancient beings, struggling to carve their place in a world where power does not come solely from strength or numbers.

Yet above all, the greatest threat and mystery lies in the existence of demons—creatures of shadow and malice. The five Demon Lords, each a formidable entity in their own right, have carved out their dominions across Caeloria, each exerting influence in ways both subtle and terrifying. Their power is felt in the whispers of the wind and the tremors in the earth, leaving many to wonder whether they are conquerors or guardians of some darker truth.

Amidst these rival forces stand the five kingdoms of Caeloria, each with its own history, culture, and aspirations. Among them, Rothrosia stands out not for its military prowess, but for its agricultural advancements. It is a lesser-known kingdom, often overlooked by the grander schemes of Caeloria's power struggles. Yet within its fertile lands, Rothrosia thrives, feeding not only its own people but also many beyond its borders. Its farmlands stretch for miles, tended by the diligent and skilled, while its rulers focus on ensuring the prosperity of their people rather than engaging in wars of conquest.

Though lesser known, Rothrosia plays a crucial role in sustaining the land. It is home to the Knight Errant, a group of highly trained knights dedicated to upholding the crown's will. These knights, while fewer than those of more war-driven kingdoms, are renowned for their skill and dedication. They protect the kingdom from threats, ensuring that its peaceful existence is not disrupted by the chaos that ever threatens the lands of Caeloria.

...

My name is Sir Francis the Brave, and I am one of the Knight Errand in the kingdom of Rothrosia. My task was simple: defend the kingdom from threats and guard the Royal family. Born into a poor farming family, I was destined to work the fields like my forebears. But I refused to accept that fate. Through hardship, blood, sweat, and tears, I managed to become the knight I am known as today.

I pledged my service, my life, to the kingdom and to the Royal Family. Especially to Princess Alicia. Ah.... Princess Alicia.

Princess Alicia, her eyes are like twin emeralds, gleaming with a depth that captures the light of the sun and the mysteries of the forest. Her hair flows like a cascade of liquid fire, each strand shimmering with a radiant red hue that seems to dance with every movement. Her skin glistens with an ethereal glow, fair and luminous as if it were touched by the morning dew of the purest dawn. Her smile, a gentle curve of kindness, has the power to warm the coldest of hearts and soothe the deepest of sorrows.

She is the very vision of grace and beauty, a living embodiment of the ideals that have been cherished through the ages. She was, and always would be, my destiny. I was certain of it—well, eventually, definitely.

When my life was finally on the path that I had always dreamed of, until—yes, until that insufferable wretch showed up.

Who, who you may ask? That pompous interloper from who-knows-where, who appeared just in time to steal my glory, managed to capture everyone's hearts, including Princess Alicia's—the very princess I adore.

I swore on my name, my father's name, and my father's father's name that I would reclaim what is rightfully mine. Just you wait, I'll have my glorious moment, even if I have to duel with fate itself!
