Chapter 32: Chapter 32
Yuri's car screeched to a halt at the intersection of 23rd and 7th Avenue. The scene before her was chaos incarnate.
Me·Ivae·Ba - the Fly Grongi - moved with impossible speed, its insectoid body a blur of motion. Police officers fired their weapons, but the creature darted between them like liquid shadow. Each movement was calculated, predatory.
The Grongi's membranous wings vibrated at an impossible frequency, creating a high-pitched buzz that disoriented the officers. Bullets passed through empty space where Ivae had been milliseconds before. When the creature struck, it was devastating.
One officer's weapon was sliced in half by razor-sharp appendages. Another was lifted and hurled into a patrol car, his body crumpling on impact. The Grongi's compound eyes tracked multiple targets simultaneously, making its attacks unpredictable and brutal.
Green-black fluid dripped from Ivae's mandibles as it moved. Each strike was precise - not just killing, but strategically dismantling the police response. Officers who moments ago were prepared for combat now scrambled in pure terror.
A sergeant charged with a shotgun. Ivae simply vanished, reappearing behind him. A quick slice, and the sergeant fell, arterial blood spraying across the pavement. The Grongi's movements were surgical, almost balletic in their deadly efficiency.
More officers arrived. More officers died.
Yuri watched in horror, her hand instinctively reaching for her weapon. The Fly Grongi was decimating an entire police unit with terrifying ease.
Me·Ivae·Ba paused amid the carnage, its compound eyes scanning the devastation. The Grongi's mandibles clicked rapidly as it spoke in its native tongue.
"Sorry~ but I need you all to die."
Another officer charged. Ivae darted sideways, apologetic even as he sliced through the man's tactical gear.
Yuri moved to assist her fallen colleagues, her tactical training kicking in. The movement caught Ivae's attention. Recognition flickered in its multifaceted eyes.
"Oh! It's you from before. I'm so sorry for noticing you."
Ivae launched the first attack. Yuri dove, narrowly avoiding the razor-sharp appendage. Her dodge was precise, but not perfect.
The second strike connected. Yuri crashed into a concrete wall, her body crumpling from the impact. Ivae hovered nearby, wringing its hands.
"Sorry~ I'll make it quick."
The Trychaser 2000 roared through the street, its engine a thunderous challenge to the Fly Grongi. In an instant, he rammed directly into Me·Ivae·Ba, sending the creature tumbling across the pavement.
Ace leaped from the motorcycle, now transformed into Kuuga's Mighty Form. The red and black armor gleamed under the city lights, a stark contrast to the destruction around him. His movements were fluid, purposeful.
The Trychaser skidded to a stop, its engine still humming with residual energy. Ace stood between the fallen Grongi and the injured detective, his stance protective.
"Detective, are you alright!" Ace's voice carried through the helmet, a mix of concern and determination.
Yuri coughed, pushing herself up from the concrete. cough "I'm fine."
Ace charged at Me·Ivae·Ba, his Mighty Form cutting a crimson streak across the devastated street. The Fly Grongi's compound eyes tracked every movement, wings vibrating with anticipation.
Ace's first punch sliced through empty air. Ivae had already moved, appearing behind him in a blur of motion. The Grongi's razor-sharp appendage struck, but Ace twisted at the last moment, blocking with his armored forearm.
They exchanged a flurry of strikes. Ace's powerful punches met Ivae's lightning-fast attacks. Each time Ace committed to a strike, Ivae would vanish, reappearing from a different angle. The Grongi's speed was inhuman - a constant dance of near-misses and calculated retreats.
Ivae darted left, then right, then behind. Ace's helmet tracked the movement, but his body couldn't keep up. A quick slice caught his shoulder, sparks flying from the armor. Another strike grazed his side.
The Fly Grongi apologized with each hit. "Sorry~ Just doing my job!"
Ace growled, frustration building. He knew Ivae was toying with him, using speed as the ultimate weapon. Every time he committed to an attack, the Grongi would simply not be there.
Their battle continued - a brutal ballet of near-hits and precise dodges. Neither could gain a definitive advantage. Ivae's speed matched Ace's strength in a perfect, deadly stalemate.
Yuri sees Kamen Rider and the Fly Grongi fighting and she goes to support Kamen Rider, but the police radio crackled to life, breaking through the sounds of battle. Yuri's hand instinctively reached for the device, her ears catching fragments of urgent communication.
"Multiple armed suspects... downtown financial district... civilian casualties reported..."
She turned to Kuuga, her voice sharp with concern. "There's a major attack happening downtown. Armed group targeting public areas."
Ivae, who had been locked in combat with Kuuga, suddenly spoke in clear, precise English. "Ah, my associates are doing exactly as planned."
Kuuga's helmet turned toward the Grongi, a moment of tension crackling between them. "What do you mean?"
The Fly Grongi's compound eyes seemed to glint with a strange satisfaction. "I commanded some men to get more kills for me," Ivae explained, his tone almost casual despite the horrific implication.
"Huh?"
Ace quickly turns to leave to stop the assailants, but is stopped by Ivae
"Sorry, but I can't allow you to leave."
"Damn it!"
The battle between Ace and Ivae continued, but Ace's focus was split. His mind raced with the potential civilian casualties downtown, each moment of hesitation giving the Fly Grongi an advantage. Ivae darted around him, landing quick, precise strikes that sparked against Kuuga's armor.
"Distracted?" Ivae taunted, his movements a blur of insectoid speed. "Sorry, but I can't let you leave!"
Ace gritted his teeth, trying to maintain his fighting stance. The detective's voice cut through the chaos - a lifeline of clarity.
"Rider! Leave downtown to me. You handle that monster."
Ace was hesitant but decided to trust her. "Leave the Fly to me, Detective."
Ace's focus sharpened, his movements becoming more precise and controlled. With a powerful kick, he sent Ivae tumbling across the pavement. The Fly Grongi skidded and rolled, its compound eyes blinking rapidly in surprise.
"Detective, can you leave me a gun," Ace said, his voice steady and determined.
Yuri looked puzzled. "A gun?"
"Trust me," Ace responded.
After a moment of hesitation, Yuri nodded. She reached into her holster and pulled out her backup sidearm, tossing it to Ace. He caught it smoothly, tucking the weapon behind his hip.
Turning to face Ivae, Ace's armored form seemed to radiate an intense energy. His voice carried a mix of anger and resolve.
"This is where you fall, you maggot-brained fly!"
