A Rider Kick in Marvel Rewrite

Chapter 19: Chapter 19

It is the weekend, and Ace is working in Pole Pole as usual when he hears the conversation of a group of three women seated themselves near the window,

"Did you hear about Catalina's bodega?" one woman said, leaning in close. "Completely taken over. Just like that."

Another responded, her bracelets jangling as she gestured dramatically. "I'm telling you, it's getting worse. These gangs are getting bolder by the day."

The third woman nodded, her voice tinged with dramatic concern. "Three businesses on 42nd Street have already been seized. Three! Can you believe it?"

Ace continued his work, his ears subtly attuned to their conversation while maintaining a professional demeanor. He poured coffee, arranged pastries, but listened intently to the women's gossip about the city's growing unrest.

"It's not just the gangs," the first woman continued. "The police seem completely overwhelmed. Nobody feels safe anymore."

Ace approached the table, a fresh pot of coffee in hand. "Refills, ladies?"

The women looked up, their conversation momentarily interrupted. The first woman, wearing a bright red scarf, smiled. "Oh, yes, please."

As Ace poured their coffee, he asked casually, "Sounds like something serious is happening in the neighborhood. What's going on?"

The women exchanged glances before the woman with the jangling bracelets leaned forward. "Let me tell you, Ace. A lot of gangs and dangerous people are being more active lately. They have even been taking some small businesses. One time, I saw some men in suits threatening the owner of the meat store I went to. And the owner was pale as a ghost."

"They're ruthless," the third woman added, her voice dropping to a whisper. "My cousin's convenience store was hit last month. They broke everything and told him he now works for them and demands protection money."

The woman in the red scarf nodded emphatically. "Police can't seem to stop them. They move fast, hit hard, and disappear before anyone can do anything."

Ace listened intently, his hand steady as he continued pouring coffee. "Sounds dangerous."

"You be careful," the woman with bracelets warned, pointing her finger at him. "A young man like you could easily get caught up in something bad. These aren't ordinary street thugs. They can snap you like a twig."

The other women murmured in agreement, their faces etched with genuine concern.

Ace smiled politely at the women. "I appreciate your concern. I'm stronger than I look."

The women chuckled, their bracelets jingling as they waved him off. After finishing their coffee and pastries, they departed, leaving Ace to his thoughts.

He walked to the break room, his mind processing their conversation. The small room was quiet, with a worn couch and a small table. Sunlight filtered through a narrow window, casting soft shadows across the floor.

Ace sat down, his fingers drumming against the table's surface. The women's words about gang activity and urban threats echoed in his mind.

It is true that recently, crime has gone up around New York. Heroes like Spider-Man are not born yet, so essentially, nothing is stopping these criminals except the police, who are dealing with the situation poorly.

Ace knew he couldn't simply stand by and watch innocent people suffer. The core of being a Kamen Rider wasn't just about fighting monsters—it was about protecting people, defending those who couldn't defend themselves.

"I have the power," Ace muttered to himself. "And if I do nothing, I'm betraying everything the Kamen Riders stand for."

His resolve solidified. Ace possessed the skills, determination, and a sense of justice of a Rider. The name Kamen Rider meant something—it represented hope, protection, and standing against darkness.

Ace approached Pops, who was wiping down the café counter. The afternoon light streamed through the windows, casting a warm glow on the café's interior.

"Pops, I'm going out for a bit," Ace said, adjusting his jacket.

Pops looked up, his weathered hands pausing mid-wipe. "Oh? Something important?"

Ace nodded. "Just need to check something out in the neighborhood. Those women's conversation got me thinking about the recent gang activity."

Pops raised an eyebrow. "Be careful. These streets aren't like the ones back home."

"I'll be careful," Ace assured him.

Pops simply nodded, returning to his cleaning. "Alright. Just make sure you're back in time for your next shift."

Ace grabbed his jacket and headed towards the door, the bell jingling softly as he stepped out into the bustling New York street.

From the rooftop, Ace surveyed the bustling New York street below. The late afternoon sun cast long shadows across the concrete landscape. His eyes scanned the sidewalks, moving from one block to another with practiced precision.

A few blocks down, he spotted a teenager attempting to steal a bicycle from a bike rack. Without hesitation, Ace leaped down from the rooftop, landing with a controlled roll that absorbed the impact. He approached the would-be thief quickly.

"Hey," Ace called out, his voice firm but not aggressive. "That doesn't belong to you."

The teenager froze, bicycle chain halfway detached. He looked up, startled by Ace's sudden appearance.

"Walk away," Ace said. "Find a better path."

The kid dropped the chain and backed away, intimidated by Ace's confident stance. He melted into the crowd, the attempted theft abandoned.

A block further, Ace noticed a group of teenagers surrounding another student. Their body language suggested an impending fight. He moved closer, positioning himself where they could see him. His presence alone was enough to make the potential bullies reconsider their actions. They dispersed, muttering under their breath.

The potential victim looked up, confused but relieved.

Ace continued his patrol, moving silently across rooftops and street levels, watching. Small interventions. Preventing trouble before it escalated.

Ace suddenly hears police sirens echoing in the distance. Ace's head turned sharply, his instincts immediately alert. He moved quickly, jumping onto the Trychaser 2000 with practiced ease.

The motorcycle roared to life, its sleek red and black frame cutting through the New York streets. Ace followed the sound of the sirens, weaving between traffic with precision. His eyes narrowed, scanning the road ahead.

Suddenly, a black sedan burst into view, police cruisers in hot pursuit. The vehicle swerved violently, cutting across lanes and narrowly missing other cars. Ace accelerated, positioning the Trychaser to get a better view of the chase.

The runaway vehicle spotted Ace and seemed to take the challenge personally. It swerved directly toward him, attempting to force him off the road. Ace countered, leaning into a sharp turn that brought him alongside the sedan.

They raced neck and neck, the vehicle's driver trying to ram Ace off the road. Ace matched every move, refusing to be intimidated. The chase became a dangerous dance of speed and skill through the busy streets.

Up ahead, Ace spotted a horrifying scene. A young girl had stepped onto the crosswalk, completely unaware of the approaching danger. The runaway vehicle showed no signs of slowing down.

Without hesitation, Ace gunned the Trychaser's engine. He aimed directly for the child, not to hit her, but to intercept her path. In a split second, he stretched out his arm and scooped the girl off the street, pulling her close to the motorcycle just as the sedan thundered past.

Ace brought the motorcycle to a smooth stop, setting the girl down gently on the sidewalk. His eyes quickly scanned her for any signs of injury.

"Are you okay?" he asked, his voice calm but concerned.

The girl nodded, her pigtails bouncing with the movement. She looked shaken but unharmed.

Ace placed a gentle hand on her head, giving her a reassuring pat. His gaze then hardened, shifting toward the direction of the fleeing sedan. The muscles in his jaw clenched as anger flickered in his eyes.

Without another word, he revved the Trychaser 2000's engine. The motorcycle roared to life, its sleek frame cutting a sharp line through the street as Ace accelerated in pursuit of the black sedan.

The Trychaser 2000 roared closer to the black sedan, its engine a fierce growl cutting through the city noise. Ace's eyes narrowed, calculating the perfect moment to strike. With a swift, practiced motion, he activated the Arcle belt.

"Chou Henshin!"

In a brilliant flash of blue energy, Ace transformed into Kamen Rider Kuuga's Dragon Form. The sleek blue armor materialized around his body.

With superhuman precision, Ace leaped from the motorcycle, crashing down on the sedan's hood with devastating force, crushing the engine block. He yanked the stunned criminals from their seats, shoving them to the ground. One man's attempt to reach for a weapon was met with a lightning-fast punch, knocking him unconscious. The second criminal's escape was cut short by Ace's next strike. The street fell silent, save for the hissing engine and distant police sirens.

The police cruisers screeched to a halt, their lights flashing red and blue against the urban landscape. Officers burst from their vehicles, weapons drawn and pointed directly at Ace.

Ace remained in his Kuuga Dragon Form, blue armor gleaming under the streetlights. The two unconscious criminals lay at his feet, the crushed sedan smoking behind him. Multiple officers surrounded him, their pistols trained on his armored figure. Some were positioned behind their car doors, using them as makeshift shields.

"FREEZE! DO NOT MOVE!" the lead officer commanded, his voice sharp and authoritative. "Hands where we can see them!" another officer shouted.

Ace stood motionless, the tense situation palpable. Civilians who had gathered now stood at a distance, their faces a mix of fear and curiosity. Ace could see the fear in the officers' eyes, their fingers hovering near their triggers. One wrong move could escalate the confrontation.
