*Note: Ok, here I bring you the next chapter of this wonderful fic!

I have to tell you that today I upload later not because of lack of time, but because I've been working as a volunteer.

I don't want to bore you or anything, but Spain has suffered enormous destruction due to a huge storm and has destroyed hundreds of homes and families, so I was volunteering to carry supplies for those poor people in need, Hence my delay, so I hope you understand.

...

The biggest change was that of three people, Bronwyn, Fiona and Claire, in fact, if they weren't the only girls in the group except for Olive, Emma and the twins with the mask and who in the photos are doing exactly what I remember, or rather, the little I can remember, I could perfectly say that it wasn't them.

Let's start with Bronwyn, we all know the tomboy she looked like in the books, she was also not beautiful at all, we also know her counterpart in the movie, which is a pretty pretty little girl with curly hair down to her neck and who was wearing a very old black monopiece dress. The one in the photo looks a bit like the one in the movie, with the difference that she is taller, almost the same as Emma and Olive, black hair (or so she thought because the photo was in black and white), not at all tomboyish look, rather thin arms, skin that at first glance seemed quite smooth, white as snow (or so I seemed to appreciate, at the moment I don't know exactly) and the same curly hair down to the shoulders, seriously, seemed to have strangely well-washed hair for that era, could it be that they buy shampoos from the modern era? Because don't I remember that in the 1940s there was hair conditioner, in conclusion, here, in this world, right where I am, Bronwyn seemed to be the same age as Emma and Olive, much more beautiful than in the books, more adult than in the movie (and more beautiful) and posed for the photo holding a huge boulder that no normal human being could hold, Simply incredible. The only "bad" thing if we can call it in that way, were her breasts, which did not seem to have noticed that her body had grown and had remained as big as when she was a child, that is, practically non-existent, even so, she was great and beautiful.

Let's talk about Fiona, in the movie, Fiona was a black-haired girl with braided pigtails on both sides of her head, in general, a very pretty girl and if she had been allowed to grow, she would have been an incomparable beauty, while in the book she was anything but beautiful, unkempt hair without care, resembling a bird's nest, a little dirty from not bathing after using her powers and maybe she would have been quite beautiful if she had combed her hair and groomed herself, but here, in the world where I live, Fiona was different, very different in fact, she retained the same beauty she had in the movie, but now she was almost the same height as Emma, Olive and Bronwyn, the hair had no idea what color it was, but it was surely black just like in the movie and in the books, but unlike in the movie and in the books, her hair was tied with two side twintails but not braided, A fairly neat hair and, as I could see, her whole body neat and clean without any hint of dirt, the clothes well groomed and clean, just as they should be, the color of the clothes, eyes, etc. I have no idea, we'll have to wait until I see her in person to see it, but as far as I could see, she didn't look less than 14 years old and her breasts weren't too big, I'd say they're a little bigger than Bronwyn's, but not much more, I guess she looks a year younger than the other three who looked like they were 15 years old, although in reality they had many more.

Claire on the other hand was also different, I think I remember that in the books she was quite pretty and in the movie much more, blonde curly hair down to her shoulders and beautiful blue eyes, as far as her age is concerned, I think she was around 8 years old, if I'm wrong, correct me, but in this photo she didn't look 8 years old, but rather I would say that he is 12 years old, her appearance was not very different from the one in the movie, you can only see that she is a little older than in the books and movies, but other than that she is alike, there was also a photo of the back of her head, alluding to her power or her other mouth, call it what you will.

I kept looking at photos and saw Millard's, who had quite outdated clothes and that was the only thing that was seen of him because his peculiarity was to be invisible.

I could also see Horace, dressed as the Monopoly man, he even had a monocle like him, he posed as if he were an 80-year-old man, that is, upright and serious.

Enoch on the other hand had an angry face, as if he didn't want to be there and was being forced against his will, he was just sitting with his arms crossed, doing nothing else.

Hugh was simply standing, looking at the camera and smiling, wearing what seemed to be the typical mask that beekeepers wear so that bees do not sting him, surely alluding to his peculiarity.

There was also a small boy, somewhat tall, who was lifting a stone bigger than Bronwyn's, probably her dead brother, Victor.

And finally I could observe the two characters forgotten by the author, the twins with a strange mask that covered their heads, I remember briefly that they came out at the beginning of the first book, but for some reason that I do not understand, the author completely forgot about them and in the second book they disappeared, as if they had never existed, something that bothered me, because they didn't deserve that.

In the film on the other hand they do not forget them and even give them a small role at the end, their power consists of causing mortal fear just by showing their faces, that is why they hide them with those ugly masks, so that no one suffers the effect of their cursed powers, both posed holding their hands and nothing else.

"The truth is that I feel sorry for them, I wonder if there is a way they can control their power to use it whenever they want, so they could have a normal face and not hide it under those ugly masks" – I sighed.

I always felt sorry for them... But I can't do anything.

[Well, that's not entirely true, you can actually do something, well, not now, but maybe in the future you can]

"You mean you can give me a peculiarity that will allow me to change their appearance?" – I asked curiously.

As I could see in the film and in the books, many peculiar people can control their peculiarity, but there are others who cannot, such as Millard, who cannot help but be invisible.

[Not exactly, but it's similar, you dedicate yourself to doing missions and your worries may be solved]

I did not insist on that anymore, the system never gives me solutions, only more and more questions that right now, with the means I have, are impossible to answer.

"Anyway, I'll keep watching" – I said.

Then, after looking at all those photos, I could see what appeared to be a small book.

Excited, I looked at the cover of the book that read: "THE SELECTED WORKS OF RALPH WALDO", below it also said: "Edited and with an introduction by CLIFTON DURREL, PH. D."

And further down there was a handwritten message that appeared to be from my now grandfather, Abe Portman and it read the following: "To Jacob Mapellan Portman and the worlds he has yet to discover". And finally, at the bottom it all said: "ANTHEM BOOKS · NEW YORK"

Quickly and without paying attention to the cover, I opened the book in search of clues, I wanted to know once and for all what the name of the island was, I needed to know, curiosity invaded my whole body and it had already become a need, but the moment I opened the book, I found a letter.

The letter was yellowed, probably due to the time it had been kept, it had probably been years since someone opened it and read its contents, but now I was about to discover what it said because I was sure that this was the clue I needed, this letter was the key, the one that would tell me which was the island I needed to go to. So I quickly opened the letter and read it:

Dearest Abe,

I hope this note finds you safe and in excellent health, it's been so long since we last heard from you! But I write not to rebuke you, but only to let you know that we still think of you and pray for your well-being. Our brave and handsome Abe!

As for life on the island, nothing has changed. Although we prefer things to remain calm and methodical! I wonder if we would recognize you after so many years, although I'm sure you would recognize us, the few of us who remain, of course, It would mean a lot to have a recent photograph of you, if you have any, I've included a snapshot of me.

O and E miss you very much and often keep fighting over you, will you write them?

 With respect and admiration.

Director Alma Le Fay Peregrine.

*Note: Fuck, this letter was writting in a beautiful font but webnovel can't show it, I want to cry :(

Then, there was a photo of Miss Peregrine, the one in the film, not the old woman who appears in the books, which I am very grateful for.

But even so, nothing else was writing there, no clue as to what the island was, its address, where they were hiding, nothing!

"I refuse to believe that there is nothing, I am sure that there is something here that can give me a clue!" – I said frowning.

I searched and it didn't take long to find an address on the postmark which said: Cairnholm Is., Cymru, UK.

"Haha, bingo, I found it, I got it, I have the damn address!" – I said happily.

I read the address a few more times to memorize it completely and then closed the book and put it in the box next to the photos and just as I left it on top of my desk.

[Congratulations, you guessed the address and name of the island, mission number 1 has been completed!]
