Have a good day :)

...

I followed Emma to the entrance of the loop while we were silent, actually, I doubt that Miss Peregrine thought I don't know where to go to get out of here, after all, I memorized all the way here and Miss Peregrine is an extremely smart and intelligent lady, so I doubt she didn't know that she could come back without help from anything. Therefore, there can only be one reason why he told Emma to come with me.

"Hey... I want to apologize for my behavior" – Emma said suddenly.

It wasn't long before we reached the loop.

"Don't worry, it's understandable that you behaved like this, especially after receiving news like that. In fact, I think I should be the one to apologize" – I said.

"Why should you apologize?" – Emma asked without understanding.

"Simple, I was tactless when it came to giving that news, I was so excited to have found you all, that it unintentionally escaped me, so I'm sorry" – I apologized.

"Don't worry about it, I understand your excitement, after all, up until that point you thought we were a story made up by Abe. A story completely made up and meaningless" - Emma said.

"Yes... although as a child I always wanted to believe that it was real. It seems like a dream that I managed to find this place and that you are all completely real" – I said with a smile.

"We are as real as you, but don't worry. I know it's hard to believe something like that" – Emma said.

Without we realize, we had already passed through the portal and was back in the present.

"Yes, it is. But here I am, talking to one of those children I thought was a fantasy" – I smiled.

Actually it was not entirely a lie because in my previous world they had nothing real. they were completely fantasy, I was only convinced that they were real when I reincarnated in this world as Jacob. but until that moment I treated them as simple characters in a book out of a person's imagination or even actors who played a role, si I didn't lie.

"Changing the subject... I'm not usually like that, so I apologize for how I treated you before" – Emma said.

"And as I said before, don't worry, everything is forgotten" – I said.

"Thank you, let's be friends from now on" – Emma said with a smile.

"Of course, let's be friends" – I nodded.

But get ready, because I plan to conquer you using all the means at my disposal, always within the law. I would never resort to blackmail or something similar, that's cowardly. I plan to make her fall in love with me in the traditional way and then she will forget her romantic feelings towards my grandfather.

"Well... It seems that we have already arrived, so... see you tomorrow" – Emma said.

"Yes, see you tomorrow" – I nodded.

I plan to go back to 100% no matter what my father tells me, so... I'll see them again tomorrow.

"Goodbye" – Emma said goodbye.

Then, she disappeared in the loop.

"Well, it's time to go back" – I sighed.

I looked at my smartphone which started working again and saw that it was quite late, but not long enough to receive a talk from my father about my punctuality, so I calmly headed towards the "hotel"

It was a quiet night, although the generators had not yet been turned off. In fact, according to my watch there was still half an hour left for everything to go dark and return to medieval times, enough time for dinner.

*Note: this isn't a mistake.

The sky was clear, which is rare in this place, and there was a pleasant breeze, so I walked at ease, enjoying the pleasant breeze.

When I arrived to the "hotel", my father was at the bar having a beer.

"Good night, Dad" – I said as I sat next to him.

"Good night, Jacob" – my father said without taking his eyes off his beer.

Then, he took a big sip and looked at me again.

"What did you do today?" - my father asked.

"Today? I just kept exploring the old orphanage. Nothing interesting" – I said shrugging.

Hearing that, my father frowned. As if he didn't like my actions.

"And where did you get those tacky clothes?" - my father asked.

I had forgotten to take them off. After all a lot of things had happened and I forgot to ask Miss Peregrine for my clothes, although I guess I will tomorrow.

"I found them in one of the closets of the orphanage, so I put them on" – I said.

"What, did you wear clothes that you found out there?" – my father asked surprised.

"The rain soaked my clothes and I was going to catch a cold, so I started searching the orphanage and found these clothes by chance. Would you have preferred me to die of hypothermia?" – I explained.

Is a good excuse? Well, it just occurred to me right now.

"I guess not, but... Even so, it seems a little strange to me that those clothes were kept in such good condition, especially after that fire" – said my father.

Good point.

"Yes, isn't that amazing?" – I nodded.

"Jacob... I don't like you spending so much time in that abandoned house" – my father said.

"Let's talk about something else. How did you do today, have you found new birds for your book?" – I asked trying to change the subject.

But even my father, who wasn't very smart, realized that I was trying to change the subject on purpose.

"Don't change the subject, Jacob. I don't know what went into Doctor Golan's head when he said to come here, but... Now there is no remedy, so I would appreciate it if you would at least call him to tell him how you feel" – said my father.

"Hmm, lately you always talk about Doctor Golan whenever you can. Why do you do it, do you really think I'm crazy? I'm fine, Dad, I'm just exploring an abandoned house. I don't think there's anything wrong with it" – I said calmly.

The truth is that I don't want to call that annoying person again.

"There's nothing wrong, but you also wear dirty clothes that have been stored there for I don't know how many years" – my father replied.

"That's it..." – I tried to say.

Damn, what's wrong with him today, why does he say such eloquent things? Usually he is not that smart.

"Jacob, your mother and I agreed to do this because of Doctor Golan's suggestion and in exchange for you calling him when you had trouble" – my father said.

"But I don't have any problem" – I said.

"Jacob, you have a problem that you refuse to acknowledge. Please call Doctor Golan and tell him what you've been doing" – my father said.

He didn't seem to want to give in and I feel that if I kept insisting, things would get worse and he would even start to consider the idea of leaving the island, which I can't let it now. In a few weeks I won't care why I've decided to stay with the peculiars, but right now I can't leave here.

"Okay, I will, if you feel better that way..." – I nodded.

I think it's better to give in this time.

"I will. Thank you" – my father nodded.

And then, he took another sip of his beer. I think alcohol makes him smarter.

Anyway, since I had already had dinner at the orphanage with the peculiar children, I simply decided to order a light dinner, mainly so that my father would not suspect or believe that I don't eat dinner because I feel bad, so I ordered the simplest thing there was (and the only thing) and went directly to my room.

The battery of my phone was at 90% because I had saved a lot of battery in the orphanage, because for some reason that I don't understand, the phone turns off automatically when I enter the loop and I can't turn on it, curious.

Having said that. I decided to call Doctor Golan so that my father would leave me alone.

However, I decided to go up to my room and talk to the doctor alone because I didn't want my father to bother me or know what I'm going to tell him, so when we had dinner, we went up the noisy stairs and went to our respective rooms.

"Fuck, what a hassle, now I have to call this annoying" – I sighed.

Don't get me wrong, I'm grateful for his "help", but the afternoons I visited that doctor were a total waste of time. Time that I could have used to do other things and that, however, I had to waste chatting with someone about a problem that I never had.

With that, I grabbed my smartphone and called Doctor Golan to get my father to leave me alone once and for all.

"Hi, Jacob. I've been waiting for your call for a while" – said the doctor on the other end of the phone.

"Good evening, doctor, I'm sorry to bother you at this hour, but my father has decided that it was best to call you to tell you about my situation" – I said.

"Yes, I know. Your father called me quite upset a while ago and told me everything you had been doing" – said the doctor.

"I don't understand. I've just been going to that orphanage" – I said calmly.

"And tell me. What have you done there and what have you found?" – asked the doctor.

"I have simply explored it and I have not found anything apart from some fairly old clothes that survived the fire. These are the only things I have found" – I replied.

If I tell him the truth, he will surely send me to a mad house without a doubt.

"Are you sure? I don't know why, but I think you're not telling me the whole truth" – said the doctor.

"There is no truth to tell, there are only remains of what in the past was a beautiful building in charge of accommodating children without parents" – I said.

Technically it's true (more or less)..

"Mmm, well, I'll believe you for the moment and not... Eo... I.. and... I'll go to your... dre" – said the doctor.

That last part I didn't hear well because of the annoying noise that was there.

"Excuse me, doctor, I haven't heard anything you said. A very loud noise prevented me from doing so" – I said.

"Yes, sorry, I'm at the airport. My sister comes on vacation and has insisted that I pick her up. Don't worry, tomorrow I'll contact your father and tell him you're fine, but don't do anything weird" - said the doctor.

"Ok, I'll continue to behave like a good child" – I nodded.

After that, we both said goodbye and I hung up.

"What a lot of nonsense. Anyway, I think the time has come, don't you think, system?" – I asked.

Then, I turned off the phone and lay down in bed to wait for the system's response, as it was time to receive my rewards.
