Chapter 211: The Story Continues...

Since meeting Jack, Jasmine's understanding of "impossible things for humans" has been shattered repeatedly, each time in more astounding ways.

Because of this, Jasmine has had to constantly adjust her expectations, creating a new threshold for what is "normal" whenever Jack says, "it's normal for someone to do it."

But each time, this new threshold is quickly broken, she finds herself shocked by Jack over and over again.

Take this time, for instance. One day, or more precisely, in just half a day, Jack completed a Jaeger design.

Humans do things?

Moreover, Jack mentioned that he disliked the logical operations and modeling programs of holographic projection technology, so he spent some time modifying them. Does that mean it took him less than half a day?

Even if he had just assembled pre-made Jaeger parts using holographic projection, it would have taken more time than this!

Although Jasmine's tolerance had significantly increased, she still couldn't convince herself that "it's normal for Jack to do such a thing."

"I have submitted the Jaeger model to the system. Secretary Jasmine will arrange the subsequent review work," Jack said, preferring to let actions speak louder than words.

No matter how much he says, it's better to show the facts.

Jasmine quickly set about arranging the review of the Jaeger model, as it was no small matter.

"What should I do next?" Jack wondered, realizing he had nothing pressing to attend to for the time being.

Now, he just had to wait for the Jaeger model to be reviewed and approved, get his salary, and then start his card-drawing journey after the upgrade!

Jack was too lazy to design Jaegers before the upgrade. How can the entry-level Jaegers be as strong as the advanced ones? Since they're about to be upgraded, designing them now would be a waste of time and energy.

If you are going to do it, you should do it the best!

Jack found a staff member and asked how to get to the Jaeger driver department, then leisurely made his way there.

His certificate, handed to him by Jasmine, gave him high authority, allowing access to most places.

...

"Huff, huff..."

In the training area, heavy breathing and rhythmic footsteps gradually stopped with a few strange cries.

"Finished!"

"Finished!"

A series of voices echoed as a group of sweaty men in training clothes stopped running one by one.

They were the preparatory students of the Jaeger pilot department. This was the last task of their training today, a five-kilometer run.

"Stephan, it's good!" a student said, "You actually kept up!"

"Not bad, not bad," Stephan replied with a kind smile.

"I say," a voice came from the side, "why do you always like to hide and pinch?"

"Jack?" Stephan looked in the direction of the voice and said in surprise, "Why are you here?"

"I have nothing to do, so I'm just wandering around," Jack smiled. "Are you done with the training? Any other projects after this?"

"No," Stephan shook his head.

"You are..." the student who was just talking to Stephan interrupted and asked.

"I'm a Jaeger designer and also Stephan's friend," Jack replied. "Stephan, why don't you take a shower first and we can have dinner together later?"

"Okay," Stephan nodded, not objecting to Jack's suggestion.

"Jaeger designer?" the student exclaimed.

"I'll go around first," Jack nodded to Stephan, then walked away, really going around as he said.

Although it was a bit rude, it was nothing to maintain the character.

"This..." The student felt embarrassed when Jack ignored him.

"Don't mind him; he's a bit withdrawn." Stephan smiled. "I'll go take a shower first."

"What the heck is going on?" The student scratched his head and followed Stephan. "Is he really a Jaeger designer? At his age, shouldn't he be an apprentice? Did you know him before? When did he come? What did he mean by you hiding it just now? Isn't this your true strength?"

Stephan's smile gradually became a little stiff.

For some reason, this student named Freddy had been very friendly with him since he arrived yesterday.

Stephan's personality made it hard for him to reject Freddy outright, so he had to communicate with him patiently. But the more Stephan engaged, the more excited Freddy became.

Freddy explained that he felt they had a unique understanding and might achieve perfect neural synchronization in the future.

Stephan: "I don't believe you!"

If he hadn't asked around and learned that Freddy was just very outgoing, Stephan might have suspected Freddy was gay.

Freddy was not only outgoing but also very inquisitive, asking everything he should and shouldn't ask. Even though Stephan knew Freddy meant no harm, he still wasn't used to it.

After taking a shower, Stephan went to the training ground and found Jack wandering around.

Beside Jack stood a man with his hands behind his back. If Stephan wasn't mistaken, it was the instructor responsible for training them. What were the two talking about? Trouble! Stephan's heart skipped a beat.

This instructor was extremely strict, not only during training but even after. He was the kind of person who never smiled!

Almost all the students were a little scared of this instructor, and Stephan was no exception.

Jack wasn't a Jaeger pilot student. Could this be why he was targeted by the instructor? Stephan immediately walked over to find out.

When he got closer, Stephan finally heard the exchange between Jack and the instructor. There didn't seem to be a dispute.

"Are you sure?" the instructor asked.

"Of course, I'm sure this isn't his real ability," Jack replied. "You can directly increase the difficulty for him later... Look, he's here."

Hearing this, Stephan realized Jack was talking about him.

Stephan: "..."
