A life with the Author

Chapter 28: The fights and the girls

"I am the main character."

He was fated to lose

Sorry but not really sorry.

{My god he is delusional now.} the author said with the most tragic tone.

I would've retorted, maybe I would've even roasted my stupid author for that surprise attack but I couldn't because a surprisingly quick front kick was flying at me.

It was quite alarming how well executed and fast the kick was. Definitely much better than anyone in my karate dojo but it was not something insane or anything.

I twisted my arm and blocked the kick with my forearm. Then the kick suddenly returned faster then it even came.

!!!

Another kick was flying at me, this time to my opposite side and it was aiming right at my head. I ducked slightly and the kick flew right above my head. It was so close I could feel it caressing my hair.

*Swossh!!*

I immediately created distance after that and revaluate my opponent again. My face dropped it's playful look and took up a serious expression.

[How strong is he?]

'He is strong. Easily the strongest guy I have fought with apparently.'

What was I suppose to do?!

I didn't expect this at all!!

The enemy came at me and there was an excited glint in his eyes. He punched forward and I could feel the force behind it. It had enough strength to put me down.

'Shit!!'

[So he was strong huh?] the author asked sarcastically.

I shrugged and smiled a bit.

'Did I scare you?'

"The winner by points 8-0 is Yuito Fujita of Japan!!!"

Yes, my opponent couldn't even touch me. He was strong but as I said, not THAT strong.

He laid on the ground, his face was one of complete disbelief as sweat trailed down his face. I bowed to my opponent and at the judges before I moved away from the mat,

I absolutely dominated the fight and I would've knocked my opponent out but - proving my point of karate being for pussies - knockout was not allowed.

In fact we were lucky that full contact was allowed. In some karate matches, hurting your opponent is not allowed and you need to only show that you can finish the technique. Heck there are even some where you are not allowed to even touch your opponents!!

Truly a disgrace as a form of martial arts.

The crowd cheered for me, specifically the girls from my school and I waved at them while chugging a bottle of water.

Then I went back to my locker room and waited for my next match.

[3rd POV]

"Did you see that!! Did you see that!!" One of the girls said excitedly while shaking Marin.

"Y-Yeah. I saw it." Marin said while looking at the back of Yuito who was walking away.

"The other guy couldn't even land a single hit at all." she said, "He goes Gish, Hua, Pow!!" the girl imitated the attacks Yuito has throw. ln during the match.

"I know, it was straight out of an anime or something." Marin said, happy and excited for her friend.

Many students were given a leave from school to support Yuito and Marin, as his only friend was naturally one of them.

She didn't know Yuito was that good. She knew he was number one in fighting and stuff but seeing it, she thought it was really cool.

"Hey Marin." her friend said, "Are you sure there is nothing going on with you two?"

"Wha-?" Marin blushed a bit, caught off guard by the sudden question. She thought about it and wondered if they looked like a couple to others.

When she really thought about it, she didn't hate the idea....

"No, of course not.." Marin denied but the idea kinda stuck in her mind.

"Thank God." Sumire let out a huge sigh of relief and felt like a gun pointing at her was finally lifted.

She didn't like seeing her son fighting. Not one bit.

The thought that he could get hurt. The mere possibility that he could suffer an injury from another person scared her to death.

She was scared.

Always so scared.

But her son was brave and strong. She couldn't compare.

He stood up to his opponents and defeat any odds against him. She remembered the time when they were too poor for her to even send him to learn martial arts.

It was him who - at the mere age of nine - entered a boxing competition without any prior training and won. All the while keeping it a secret from her.

He brought home the winning money and he gave it too her.

He didn't spend it for himself. He didn't spend the money to buy all the things she couldn't buy for him.

He gave it to her. He said he wanted to help her. His mother.

He was so eager to help. Always so eager.

Now she didn't even have to work anymore. He was earning enough to take care of the both of them.

"He is so strong." She said, her mind went back to the times her son would lose. The times her son would struggle. The times he would push through pain to win.

Now, winning looked easy for him. It was his hard work.

She was so very proud. She didn't believe she deserved a son like him at all. A failed mother like her didn't deserve him.

But she had to resist with all her might, the urge to shout out to the world and say, 'He is my son!! he is mine!!'

She watched with love as he walked away from the mat, he was so respectful even to his opponent.

He didn't see her.

But she saw only him.

She gave a flying kiss to him. Her best wishes went out to him.

"You make me so proud."

[MC's POV]

The tournament went on and I began fighting match after match. I found my opponents to be quite strong.

So strong infact that I think they would easily be able to become the world champion in my previous world. That was how much stronger they were, my current world was on another level.

Maybe the increase in strength could be due of my existence. The world leveling up for me and all that stuff.

But they were not too much of a problem and I was able to deal with all of them without much trouble.

And without too much trouble I meant no one had landed a hit on me.

I was just that quick.

The crowd absolutely loved me. At the begining, only the girls from my school cheered for me but now half the people on the stadium were now my fan.

It was Tokyo after all and the majority of the viewers were Japaneses, meaning they were all rooting for me. My charming appearance also definitely played a part.

The other people who participated for Japan are already eliminated in the first round.

It was quite embarrassing even for me. Seeing my teammate be defeated that easily.

Other than that, everything went well and now it was the semi finals.

My opponent stood infront of me and we both bowed to show respect. Meanwhile I was left to wonder how this giant dude was in my weight class.

"Charles Decker from USA vs Yuito Fujita from Japan!!" The announcer said to the audience.

It was one match at a time now that it was the semi finals. Also it was around 3pm.

I looked at my opponent and refused to believe that the guy infront of me was 21 years old.

{More like 21 years in prison.}

He was grown ass dude. Nothing about him spoke 'Junior' at all. I am pretty sure I was around the age of his son.

{That's what steroids do to you I guess.} the author said.

'Definitely.'

That's what he looked like anyways. Other than that, he was also very big with exploding muscles and a thick beard.

He also got a mean look, a blonde hair and he had a gun tattoo on his forearm.

Certainly very American.

"Ready!!!" The referee said and we got ready.

"FIGHT!!"

*Crowd cheering!!!*
