Chapter 32: The enemy in my dream
The eerie energy coming from inside the door was so strong that I shuddered without realizing it and took a few steps back. I don't know what's inside there. And if Lee Hojun went through that door, he didn’t know if he had the courage to follow him in.
Should I go back? I looked around. You don't even know how to get out of this world by myself!
Suddenly, I sensed something behind me. When I turned around, a group of people poured into the hall where we were standing, from an entrance different from the one Ho-Jun Lee and I had entered. There was a loud noise, but the language was incomprehensible.
Light brown skin, the body seemed to be slightly larger than the average Korean, and the facial features were neither Asian nor Western, they were in between. Most of them were dressed similar to Hojun.
I moved towards the wall as they swarmed towards me. Even if they touch me, they will probably just pass through, but it still feels weird.
A few people in the lead were carrying large sacks. It was large enough to fit one person.
They moved the sacks to the middle of the hall and set them down on the floor. After loosening the rope that tied the entrance part, he stepped back and politely stood up.
Ho-Jun Lee also stood quietly, leaning to one side.
In the silence, the huge door on the opposite wall slowly opened, and a cool and terrifying energy leaked out like a whirlwind.
Everyone bowed in unison as if they had made a promise.
Somebody wake me up! I screamed inwardly. A pain as if an electric current was flowing down my spine, followed by an overwhelming feeling. Those people seemed to feel the pressure, but they don't seem to be under the same intense pressure as me, why am I the only one feeling this eerie feeling?
I couldn't hear anything, but as if they had been instructed by someone, some people came forward, pulled the sacks on the floor, and began to peel them from what was inside. Some kind of white shape…
At that time, my vision gradually blurred. I knew instinctively that I was about to wake up.
No, no. I shook my head quickly, bringing my eyes to the sack and focusing my attention.
I just wanted to wake up as soon as possible. But now I didn't feel like going back. I'm here because I have something to see for Blue Dragon.
I forcefully lifted my head and watched something slowly emerge from the sack.
A white head with two horns, a neck and shoulders, and a back with crumpled wings appeared one after another. That's a white young dragon. It was the hatchling of the White Dragon.
It was much bigger than our blue dragon. It was a little smaller than an adult woman, but it was immediately obvious that she was still young. He was lying on the floor with his eyes closed and motionless.
And then, something or someone walked out of the door toward the hall. I let go of the pressure on my head and turned my head towards him.

I opened my eyes I breathed slowly. Slowly, things took shape within the blurred vision. The table clock on the desk, the bed behind me, the window, and the pattern of the newly painted wallpaper… this is my room. I’m back
Me hunched over the table, had a soaking wet back from sweat.
The room was dark. After dinner I rested a bit and started writing but it’s become night now.
My legs staggered as I raised my body drooping like water-soaked cotton. It was the most exhausting dream I had ever experienced.
When I went out to the living room, Baekho and the blue dragon were asleep on the sofa. Above the figure of the blue dragon who fell asleep without a clue of what happened, the figure of the white dragon hatchling I saw in my dream came to mind. A young dragon lying helplessly on the cold stone floor. It looked more pitiful because it was completely white.
I gently stroked the blue dragon's head. Could you have been caught like that? I can't leave it like this. But can I protect you? It's frustrating that I'm so weak compared to your enemy.
If I had endured a little longer, I would have been able to see what kind of existence came out of the door, but it's a waste. I tried to hold on as hard as I could, but in the end I couldn't.
I held the blue dragon's small front paws in his hand. I still don't know how I can be strong. I'm still not quite sure what my role is. But if there's anything I can do to protect you, I'll do anything. Give me some of your strength as well.
I drank some water and went to bed, but I couldn't sleep because my mind was complicated. It reminded me of that cold, terrifying feeling that came over me when the door opened. What is that person? Could it be that the person I have to protect blue dragon from is the one that gives me goosebumps from just thinking about him?
I felt embarrassed at the thought that I was too weak to protect Blue Dragon against that existence.
While I was tossing and turning, wearing out the blanket, the sound of quiet footsteps approaching very quietly, Baekho jumped softly onto the bed. I put my head on my shoulder and put a warm body on his side. After that, a sleepy blue dragon followed with a whimper and dug into the other side.
Only then did I calm down and fall asleep.

The day is clear. I slept late because I couldn't sleep last night. After feeding Baekho and Blue Dragon, I drank a thick cup of coffee because I had no thoughts in the morning.
After eating the food, seeing the white tiger and the blue dragon grooming side by side under the sun, everything I saw last night was like a dream. No, actually, it's a dream, but in my case, the problem is that it's not just a dream, it's in direct contact with reality.
Ring ring ring ring!
“Hello, Haein is that you?”
– Yes, it’s your big brother. Have you eaten?
“No, I woke up late so I just drank coffee.”
– It's a holiday today and the weather is nice. How about hitting a theaters, it’s been a while?
"Uh… well, I have to write."
Unlike when I was writing alone, now that I have signed a contract, I have to work harder. You also have to pay twice as much as before.
Last night, I fell asleep halfway through, so I couldn't fill the amount I had set for myself.
– Bro, you have a lot of stockpile. You need a change of mood for a day or so. Yuri and Ahin also said they had time, so let's go together.
“Ah, yes, do you have anything you want to watch?”
– There are two. How about ‘his witness’ or ‘six keys’?
“Ummm…, I think ‘his witness’ would be better. ‘Six Keys' also got good reviews."
– What a surprise? I thought you were going to see a fantasy.
‘His Witness' is a brutally realistic court detective story, and ‘Six Keys' is a fantasy film that is said to be the best made in recent years. If it were me, I would have chosen the ‘Six Keys’ course to study.
“No, fantasy is full of what I experience in real life.”
– Yes, okay. Others see fantasy to forget reality, but you, everyday life is a fantasy.
Haein chuckled. But I was serious.
– Bro, then, let's eat the wild vegetable bibimbap that you said was good last time for lunch and go see a movie.
“Okay, let’s go!”
The wild vegetable bibimbap was delicious today, and the movie was very fun.
“I thought Myung-hoon would ask to see six keys, but I was a bit surprised by his witness, but the movie was made really well. I didn’t notice how fast the time passed.”
“Does Yuri like mystery novels? Doesn't it feel a bit similar to Miyuki Miyabe's novel?"
“Yeah, there was that. Witness also had an original novel, I should read it.”
“My friends say Six Keys is a lot of fun. Let’s see that next time.”
We are going to have dinner late at night, and Haein and Yuri walking side by side are strangely warm. I stabbed Ain in the side.
“Ain-ah, are they dating these days?”
Ahin put her mouth into my ear and whispered.
“I don’t think I’m at the stage to call them a couple, but they definitely have crushes.”
“Oh yeah? wow!”
Haein has been attacked by countless women since he was in school thanks to his outstanding looks and her easygoing personality, but he was so blunt that he never had a deep relationship with a woman. The letters and gifts that I delivered instead would be enough, but even though there were several short romances, I couldn't have a long one every time, but now maybe he’s meeting the one.
And if it's Yuri, she's the perfect woman. She is mature enough to cover Haein's immature side, and she's got everything, and besides, she's a beauty.
“What are you nodding your head like that for? You can’t even look after yourself.”
“Hey, I don’t have the time to date? You know that.”
Me and Ahin quarreled and followed Haein and Yuri slowly. The sunset was a beautifully red in the dark sky. Seeing that it wasn't dark until this time, the sun seemed to have gotten longer in those days.

It's been a long time since I've seen my favorite movie, ate out, and chatted with my friends, and it's definitely a change of mood. Last night's dream had calmed her mind a lot.
I don't know what kind of existence it is, but it's an opponent against dragons, but I'm weak compared to him. All you have to do is protect the blue dragon and take care of it until the day the blue dragon returns to its own world someday.
I have to faithfully write to my main job so that the blue dragon can be raised comfortably and safely, and I also have to grow up with the blue dragon.
I opened the laptop with a light heart. I slept with it on yesterday, and after waking up, it was so hard that I couldn't even see it properly, so I closed it, but I don't know if the part I wrote is still saved.
“················.”
At the end of the document I saved was a message I hadn't seen last night.
– You are not weak
