About an hour later, Pei Hao walked out of the material room with his hands against the wall, cursing.
“That goddamn young man! I’ll teach him a lesson next time. Where did he get the balls to force me to do it?”
Cursing obviously wasn’t enough; he even kicked the wall.
Fortunately, he had controlled his strength, otherwise, considering his Majin identity, he would definitely make a big hole on the wall.
“Are you okay, Professor Pei? Did Professor Jiang bully you again?”
The other professors came back from lunch and saw the look of Pei Hao, and they were joking about it.
Well, the “bully” they were talking about was just literally, physically bullying. They didn’t mean anything else.
“You are a Majin! How can your strength be weaker than Professor Jiang’s? He’s only a human!”
Pei Hao was going to yell at them when he heard that, since that was none of their business and all they knew was laughing at him.
But what they had said also reminded Pei Hao, ‘That’s right! Jiang Huo is only a normal human being, how can he suppress my power? I never go soft when I resist usually.’
Pei Hao’s body and eyes got stiffened all of a sudden. It was not until then did he realize how different Jiang Huo was.
‘Or is it simply because he is strong? Some human beings do have such power, right? There are human beings lifting a car with bare hands on the news before, so there’s nothing wrong with that.’
Pei Hao overthrew his own guessing soon because after all those times he spent with Jiang Huo, he hadn’t sensed anything wrong with him except for his strength.
At the same time, inside the material room, Pei Hao saw the whole thing through the crack of the door, and coldness showed up in his eyes.
Later, he shut the door of the material room, took out his phone and dialed a number.
“How is it going? Do you have any news about Sheng?”
The woman on the other side of the phone asked impatiently at the first beep of the phone.
“I found him, Sheng is with Pei Hao’s nephew indeed. He just came to the B.O.M. with Pei Siyan to see Pei Hao, and I saw him from afar.”
“Really? Then how is he doing? Is he healthy? Is my Sheng okay under such a hot weather?” The woman began to sob gradually.
“Oh don’t cry, my sister-in-law! My brother would think that I bullied you if he hears that.”
Jiang Huo sighed and continued, “Judging from Sheng’s look, he’s doing okay. He seems like he has adopted his identity as a vampire, and is getting along with Pei Siyan.”
‘But that’s weird. Shouldn’t Jiang Xiao be a timid coward which is completely the opposite of Sheng’s personality? Haven’t Pei Siyan realized that they are not the same person?’
“Thank god, he’s okay, thank god. If anything happened to him, that goddamn old man Xu will pay for this with his own life.” The woman had been crying whle in the next second, her voice turned cold. She was clearly someone whom shouldn’t be messed with.
“His purpose was to save Lan Yuan, and that’s his duty. Saving Sheng’s life for us can also be considered as a fair deal.”
“Bullsh*t! That was not fair at all! Those damned things killed my son! I hate them!”
The woman started to shed tears again, but this time it was different. Her fists were clenched together tightly, and flames of fury were burning in her eyes.
“I’ll send you to hell if you ever mention that f**king name, Lan Yuan, ever again! You understand that?”
“Alright alright, I won’t.” Jiang Huo shut up immediately.
He was completely a different person when he was facing his sister-in-law, comparing to when he was with Pei Hao.
Maybe it was because his sister-in-law was way too dominating and he was a person who hated to argue, so he would just do whatever she said.
“I wanna see Sheng, Huo. Would you help me? I’ve lost a son before, and I don’t want that to happen again.”
Her voice became soft again, and she begged Jiang Huo while sobbing.
Jiang Huo’s expression became complicated when he heard that, for he didn’t want to use Pei Hao anymore.
