About an hour later, they finally made it to a secluded mansion of ancient Chinese style.
Jiang Sheng got out of the car and watched what was in front of him with astonishment. Because a mansion like this was very rare now.
“What is this place?” Jiang Sheng followed Pei Siyan and asked.
Pei Siyan put on a mysterious smile and replied, “The place where the prophet lives.”
“Prophet? What is that? Is he someone from your magic world?”
Jiang Sheng couldn’t think of any possibility other than that.
“Not really, he is just an immortal human being.”
Pei Siyan replied lightly. He had wiped his smile off his face and was looking a little down. It was unknown if he was sad because he remembered something about the man who lived there.
“There are immortal human beings? Seriously?” Jiang Sheng’s face was covered with curiosity.
As for Hei Ming, his look became serious and his eyebrows furrowed together once he heard that.
‘Immortal human being? Could he be related to Lan Yuan?’
Before they even entered the front gate, an old man with a pigtail hairstyle who wore a hat of ancient style had walked over quickly to welcome them. He nodded and said, “Welcome, Mr. Pei.”
The old man was wearing a black robe with a jade pendant on his waist and a pair of old long boot on his feet, which gave people the feeling that they had traveled to the former dynasty.
Jiang Sheng was shocked, ‘Damn, what is this all about? Cosplay? Or is this some special obsession of the host himself?’
“It looks like he knew I’m coming today.”
Pei Siyan smiled and walked in while holding Jiang Sheng’s hand.
The old man followed and replied, “My master asked me to wait for you at the front gate early in this morning.”
“He is a prophet indeed, and he is clearly not rusty about his skills.”
What Pei Siyan just had said confused Jiang Sheng.
‘Wait, so there are people that actually have the power to foresee the future? Holy cow! That is way too magical! But that also makes sense, I’m a vampire myself. Nothing can be impossible here!’
“This way, please.”
The old man led them to a room that looked like a study. Valuable antiques were placed all over this place.
“Wow! Are these real? Or replicas?” Jiang Sheng showed surprise again. He could tell those were antiques yet he couldn’t tell whether they were fake or not.
Pei Siyan was going to answer him that all of these were real, but a refreshing sound came from their back before he even spoke, “Of course these are real. If Mrs. Pei likes it, you can pick one that you find graceful and take it back home for fun.”
“Really?” Jiang Sheng became excited all of a sudden, and his next sentence was, “I could really pick on as my vase in my room.”
“Puff!” That was the sound of everyone getting scared.
Because each one of the antiques here could be worth more than a billion yuan on the market, while Jiang Sheng was going to take one home as a vase.
“My second sister-in-law is unique indeed. Money clearly means nothing to him.” Hei Ming patted Pei Siyan on his shoulder and tried his best to hold back his laughter.
Pei Siyan twitched his lips a bit because he didn’t really expect Jiang Sheng to say that and he thought Jiang Sheng would take one to sell for money.
‘I could never understand what this little guy is thinking.’
“You are humorous, young master Jiang.”
The man who just joined the conversation smiled gently. He pushed his golden-framed glasses with a chain lightly and walked up from their back elegantly.
The man’s name was Shu Wensheng, and he was just like his name, elegant and gentle manners.
He let his jet-black hair which reached his waist down casually and tied several wisps of his hair over his ears.
He was wearing an ancient white robe with several flying cranes embroidered on it.
He was also wearing a piece of jade pendant on his waist, but it was larger than that old man’s. Scales of the dragon were carved on it and the tassels on it were yellow.
‘Wow! Damn, what a handsome man! I thought it would be gross for men to grow their hair long, but I never thought it could look that astonishing on this man!’
Jiang Sheng had widened his eyes several times ever since he came here.
