Chapter 131
“That’s more chaotic than I thought it would be!”
I used to think being a Count meant having a fancy title and tons of riches, but oh boy, was I wrong!
“I don’t want to eat this!”
“Aida, there are lots of folks outside who’d give anything for even this! No more whining!”
My little sister Aida tossed the bread away and started crying, while our dad, Count Bradley Somerset, gave her a stern talking-to.
I took a peek at the food in front of me and thought, maybe a noble family’s dining experience isn’t so different from an ordinary one after all.
On the table, there was a soup so thin it looked like it was trying to escape, and bread that could double as boulders!
Definitely not the kind of mouth-watering meal you’d expect, even for a kid.
Determined to eat something, I tried to dunk the bread into the soup, but just as I tore it apart—
Crack!
Did I just hear wood breaking?
