A Cultivator in the World Dominated By Awakeners

Chapter 5: Only Cultivated

"It finally increased," Oliver said in awe as he looked at his stats, which had changed.

(Innate Scripture from Void Body):

Black Hole (2%) +1

(Scripture: None)

(Innate Techniques from Void Body):

Void Domain (0%)

Void Particle Control (0.20%) +0.20

Void Step (0.75%) +0.75

Void Body Transformation (1%)

Void Sense (0.20%) +0.20

This time, his Black Hole had truly reached 2%, giving him a much clearer sense of the surrounding Spiritual Energy.

"Absorb!"

He began trying to absorb the Spiritual Energy.

Unlike on the bus earlier, where he failed to absorb anything, this time, the Spiritual Energy around him truly flowed into his body.

However, cultivation wasn't as simple as just absorbing Spiritual Energy. He still needed to integrate it into his body—and that was the hardest part.

After a few minutes, he looked at his Spiritual Energy stats.

(Spiritual Energy: 14/200!) +2

"Only 2 points?!"

He rolled his eyes at the sight of that.

'There's no way this can compare to using resources like Heaven Spirit Water,' he thought.

Still, he realized it was already considered fast.

If he did this day and night, he could realistically reach the Second Stage of the Spiritual Master Realm.

'Maybe I should focus on cultivation first and reach the Second Stage before going to the Chaotic World so I can be better prepared.'

It wasn't that Oliver was afraid of taking risks—but if there was a better and safer way, he preferred to take it.

What he needed to do wasn't difficult, just time-consuming.

While absorbing Spiritual Energy, he could still use his mind to understand his techniques.

In addition, he could feel another type of energy occasionally entering his body—about once every ten minutes—and each time, it successfully merged with him.

This energy was unique and felt incredibly pure. It refreshed his mind as it fused with him, making him feel like he had briefly fallen asleep and woken up with his body fully revitalized.

That was Will Energy—something far rarer than Spiritual Energy, but considered incredibly important because it helped advance a Cultivator's Will Realm.

If someone's Will Realm reached a higher level than their Cultivation Realm, their cultivation could progress more easily due to their stronger mental power. They would be able to grasp complex concepts more effortlessly.

However, if their Will Realm didn't improve, their cultivation realm would also be stuck.

Of course, gathering Will Energy was extremely difficult—but Oliver felt that it was far easier for him.

The purity of that energy allowed his Black Hole to digest and integrate it with his body with ease.

'If the Spiritual Energy I absorb was as pure as Will Energy, I could truly break through in an instant.'

He lost track of time. His body kept absorbing energy while his mind worked to understand his techniques—including Black Hole.

He didn't even dismiss the portal he had summoned, letting it remain in front of him since he could still learn from it.

After who knows how long, he noticed the faint sunlight rising in the east, signaling morning.

(Cultivation: First Stage of the Spiritual Master Realm!)

(Spiritual Energy: 133/200!) +119

(Body: Void Body!)

(Will: Spiritual Master | 73/1000 Will Energy!) +73

(Innate Scripture from Void Body):

Black Hole (2.40%) +0.40

(Scripture: None)

(Innate Techniques from Void Body):

Void Domain (0%)

Void Particle Control (1.20%) +1

Void Step (1.75%) +1

Void Body Transformation (2%) +1

Void Sense (1%) +0.80

(Techniques: None)

Oliver stopped cultivating and looked at his stats—only to find that he had made a lot of progress.

He had even gathered 73 Will Energy in one night and over 100 Spiritual Energy.

'Void Body Transformation has reached 2%. That means I can now turn both of my hands into void!'

Oliver was especially surprised to see that technique.

He immediately turned both his hands into void.

"What actually happens if I touch something?"

He wondered.

The power of void could be understood in theory, but he hadn't seen it in action yet.

Curious, he couldn't help but touch the floor with one finger—and the result was his finger sinking into the floor.

When he lifted his finger, he found a hole exactly in the shape of his fingertip.

It was concrete—and just that single touch had created a hole like that.

'It doesn't destroy… it erases.'

Oliver could only stare in amazement at the result.

Calling it one of the strongest powers didn't feel like enough. This was practically the strongest power because of its nature of erasure. He couldn't think of any other power that could rival void.

'And now I can finally control void particles.'

Void practically existed everywhere—hidden behind space, made up of countless particles.

With his mind, he could summon those void particles and gather them in front of him, forming anything he desired.

They were somewhat like iron particles, but had the ability to turn things into void.

"'I can sense everything in this house clearly now…'

Oliver had originally doubted the usefulness of Void Sense. After all, Cultivators and Awakeners naturally had enhanced senses compared to normal people, and these would grow sharper as they got stronger.

But Void Sense worked by spreading his senses through void—which was essentially lighter space—so his perception could spread farther and detect a wider area than others at his level.

Everything appears so clear with Void Sense that its function is no less than that of eyesight.

Oliver then stood up, took a step, and merged with the void using Void Step. As a result, his body moved within the void.

Because the space of void was lighter, his movements there were much faster.

With a single step, he reached the door instantly.

If his understanding grew higher, it was entirely possible for him to disperse into void and reform his body elsewhere—essentially teleportation.

In fact, based on his hunch, there was even a possibility of forming a clone from void—by combining three techniques: Void Control, Void Step, and Void Sense.

"Maybe I'll be able to create new techniques from the ones I already have," he thought.

"But… my understanding of Void Domain hasn't increased at all…"

That one was the hardest—but he knew it was also the most dangerous.

He could create a miniature version of the void world—something even more terrifying than the real thing.

"That seems too hard to comprehend with my current cultivation, even just reaching 1%," he thought.

Oliver knew this because he had already tried.

Not only did it require a higher cultivation, but also a stronger Will.

Since he was already standing in front of his door, he went out right away.

He wanted to cook breakfast for his mother and younger sister first before continuing his cultivation.

Today, he set a goal for himself—to reach the Second Stage before nightfall.
