A Certain Pokemon Shop(Re-Write)

A/N:As Promised, here's the other chapter!

-Narrator's POV-

"Umu! They are super cute! But my buddy is special!" Zeke boastfully said before he looked at the other four and asked.

"How about you guys? What are your favorite animals?"

"Mine are Camels! They're just super huge and strong!Plus! They make funny faces that always make me laugh!" Yotsuba responds with gusto, smiling widely before she once again takes a sip of her hot chocolate and huffs in happiness.

"fufu, Trying to find our favorite animals now are you? Well, I'll play along. Mine are Hippo" Ichika replied, once again back to her teasing voice.

Her first few words made the atmosphere a bit awkward, but the other sisters didn't stop, as Itsuki was the next one to reply.

"Mine are Kangaroos, more specifically, the female ones, because it's so cute seeing them carrying their babies in their pouch" Itsuki smiled gently as she answered.

"And as for Nino-san, Let me guess…hmmmm, Rabbits, perhaps?" Zeke Interjected with a smile, before taking a sip of his green tea.

He looked back at the sisters, only to see their surprised faces, and Nino with a beet red face.

"Did I guess correctly?" he asked curiously as he put down his teacup.

Nino's face turned even redder, turning her into a blushing mess, as she abruptly stood up which got everyone's attention.

"I-I need to go to the bathroom" Nino voiced shakily.

"Alright, the bathroom's just around the corner way past the kitchen." Zeke nodded.

"T-thanks.." Responded Nino before she hurriedly walked away.

Zeke took a sip of his tea once again before he said.

"Now then, why don't we continue… About my question earlier outside, you five must be Mr.Marou's daughters, I assume?"

"...Yes." responds Itsuki, nodding.

"I see, well… He did mention that his children were gonna be living in the apartment he rented, but I didn't expect his children to be you lovely ladies." Zeke calmly responded before he drank the last bit of tea in his cup.

"Hooh? Quite forward aren't we?" Ichika replied with a mischievous smile, while the rest stayed quiet.

"There's nothing wrong with that. In fact, I'm sure you five must have gotten your fair share of compliments by others already. After all, I was merely stating the truth, the five of you are very gorgeous." Zeke calmly replied before he poured in tea in his cup.

"I see, I see… So you were serious not too long ago with your intentions of finding a girlfriend "as beautiful as the Nakano's" you say." Ichika teased.

Zeke's arm tensed for a moment as he put down the teapot.

"A-ah… So the five of you heard that… It's no use hiding it I guess, haha"Zeke awkwardly laughed, before he continued.

" Well, every man can dream right? I'm sure every man dreams of having an actress wife sometimes in their life, an actress who's athletic, can cook, and also eat what I cook, and is also athletic plus shares the same hobbies as I do, and like what I like is every man's dream."

"I'm the same, I'm a man after all… Well, that and I guess men also fantasize going on some adventure, like, going back in time in lets say, Sengoku period or even way back, becoming a samurai or a ronin. Maybe in another world of swords and magic, where they become an adventurer or a mage."

"Haah, my bad for yapping a bit. I haven't been talking with my friends for a while." Sighing, Zeke apologized before he once again took a sip of the tea, not realizing the red faces of the girls.

"Anyways, It's really nice to meet the five of you. I don't really have many friends here, afterall, I only just came here recently. So the only friend I have is this smarty pants"

"Anyways, let's talk about something else-" Just as Zeke was about to continue, he was interrupted by a squeak, and he looked back to see Ditto, wide awake.

"Ah! You're awake, come here, meet the Nakano Sisters." Zeke voiced before he stood up and carried Ditto in his palms into the center table.

Ditto grunted, before he looked back at Zeke and gestured towards his mouth, Implying he wanted something to eat.

His actions surprised not only the four seated sisters, even Nino who just walked back in the living room was wide eyed after seeing Ditto's actions.

"Alright, alright. Lemme get some leppa berries, In the meantime, why don't you play with browny here, she seems to like hedgehogs too." I pat Ditto's head before I stood up.

Ditto nodded upon hearing my words and grunted before he skiddled towards Miku who looked at him with stars in her eyes.

Meanwhile, Itsuki had her eyes widened even further after seeing our little interactions as she exclaimed. "WHAT!? WAIT WAIT! Now that I think about it, I saw you in the convenience store a week ago with a cat on your shoulder, who nodded after you asked something!"

"N-now that I think about it… When I met him the first time, he was with some kind of blue slime being that waved at me and said something like "Ditto" or something, before a bright light shone and when I looked back, that thing disappeared." Ichika shakily added as she thought about her first meeting with Zeke.

'Ah, crap. I forgot about that…' Zeke stiffly turned his body, only to see the sister's inquisitive and curious look.

" Let me get food for Ditto first" He sighed, before he went back to the kitchen and took out a few Leppa berries inside the fridge.

'I guess it's fine to tell them about the shop, since the only secret that they really shouldn't know Is me being the Owner of said shop' Zeke thought as he sliced the apples into bite-sized

'And they seem like nice people, so I'm sure that they can become good partners of the pokemon that they have. On a side note, maybe I can make them poster girls for each profession that pokemon can help with.'

He got out of the kitchen, carrying a bowl of sliced Leppa berries and walked back to the living room, only to see Miku gently scratching Ditto's chin, which the latter greatly enjoyed, as he let out a mix of grunt and purr, showing his happiness.

While the other sisters who were talking to each other, while glancing at Ditto from time to time, became quiet after they saw Zeke..

"Here's your food Ditto." Zeke handed down the Bowl which prompted Ditto to dash away from Miku's scratches, much to the latter's displeasure which was shown with a cute pout.

Zeke patted Ditto before lifting one of the apple slices and started handing one after another to Ditto who ate it with relish.

"Now then, before we can continue. Let me ask you this, what profession would you five like to get in, in the near future?"He asked, which greatly surprised the five sisters at his unexpected question.

An awkward silence lingered in the room for a few minutes, as the sisters did not know how to respond, well, most of them as the oldest, Ichika already had something she was pursuing, but she wasn't ready to reveal it to her sisters yet, so she didn't answer.

Realizing that he might have made a mistake Zeke broke the silence.

"Ahem, Let's skip that question for now, as it seems that the five of you are either not comfortable sharing it with a stranger such as myself, or you simply haven't thought about it."

Zeke scratched the side of his head for a moment before he continued feeding Ditto again.

"Anywho, Ditto here, as I have mentioned before, is a special kind. It's not bias of any kind, but it's the truth." Zeke pat Ditto's head and asked.

"Ditto, can you turn into a cat again?"

His words once again took the sisters aback, but they were even more shocked to see Ditto nodding before his body changed into that of an orange tabby cat.

Zeke's eyes twitched, seeing what type of cat Ditto turned into.

"Really?"

Ditto just rolled its eyes before he gestured to Zeke to continue feeding him.

*mreow*

Zeke wryly smiled at this before he got back to feeding him.

He looked up to see the sisters were still in a state of shock, eyes wide. He smiled.

"So, does Ditto's transformation answer your questions?"

"Ditto here, is one of many species of wondrous creatures called Pokemon. Each species are unique in their own right and can perform miraculous things, but also has the potential to cause massive destruction.

To prevent this, that's where Pokemon trainers, like myself, come in. we befriend one of them, and raise them to become strong to defend ourselves from them!, not that they wantonly cause destruction of course, as Pokemon are really smart, and are generally peaceful so long as they aren't messed with.

Of course, as you may have noticed. There aren't any pokemon currently in this world, but in the near future they will surely appear.

And the reason why I wanted to ask what future career would you five want to be in, is because some pokemon will greatly help people in myriad professions! For example, there's a Pokemon called Chansey and Blissey, their species are great healers and would very much be a great help towards the medical industry!

Another example are the machamp's and other similar ones, they have a very strong body frame and their unique constitutions will massively help construction workers!

There are also other benefits that will come once Pokemon has settled in this world, an example is of course, cleaner environments, and even less worries about trees becoming overharvested, as some Pokemon have the ability to promote growth of plants and trees!

And of course, there are many more, but that's generally it"

He stopped for a bit, to look at the five sisters who were greatly focused on him before smiling.

"Now, let us go to the main reason why I am telling the five of you this. I, on behalf of the Pokemon, and the Pokemon Pet Store, formally invite you to join us on this fruitful endeavor that will greatly help, not just humanity as a whole, but the whole planet will become a better place once the Pokemon settles down."

"Now, do any of you five have questions?"

"..."

"..."

….

Minutes passed by as the Nakano sisters processed the information that had been given to them while simultaneously contemplating on what to say to their Not so Ordinary neighbor and his pet, "Pokemon".

One of them raised her hand, and that someone was none other than the oldest one, Ichika.

"You mentioned "we", who's"we "?"

"That would be the others who are also Invited personally by the Shopkeeper, our de facto leader." Zeke blinked his eyes and answered truthfully.

"Zeke-san, Can you tell us who these colleagues of yours are? And this "Shopkeeper" is?" Asked Yotsuba curiously.

"Unfortunately, due to safety reasons, I cannot reveal what their exact names are, as for the other trainers and partners, you will be able to meet them if you frequently visit the Shop, where you can get your potential partner pokemon, and just generally hang out and read in our library.

Although I can tell you this, the other trainers that I am talking about are mostly just normal citizens like you and I, some are housewives, some are students, etc."

"I see.." Yotsuba replied before she continued to ponder.

"Is there any danger in participating in this?" Asked the quiet Miku.

"Not really, although we generally advise our associates to not attract any attention for now and just train their partners until the time of their Arrival comes. As people will less likely mind that they already befriended some once that day comes, afterall, anyone can befriend pokemon as they wish."

"Umm, about the pokemon, how do we befriend them?" Asked Itsuki.

"Good question! It's pretty simple, Pokemon are really clever creatures, and they can sense whether someone has malice for them, and vice versa has good intentions for them.

Of course there are some special cases with really friendly pokemon, who will be easily exploited because of their friendliness.

Anyways, Just treat them good and try to befriend them as if you are befriending another person, and some treats here and there, and they will like you easily.

Of course, not all of the pokemon will be easy to befriend, as they have personalities too! Some are friendly, others are indifferent, and some are of course, malicious, well more like naughty, as truly malicious Pokemon are those that have been trained and influenced by bad people."

Miku nodded before she went back to her thoughts.

"Ummm…What are the rules and responsibilities we will get if we accept?" Asked Nino

"Great question Nino, first of all, there are rules of course, one of them is to never mistreat any of our partner pokemon, if this rule is broken, then you will be greatly punished, and will have all of your partners taken away.

Same goes for wild Pokemon that you meet, you are not allowed to hurt them maliciously, some pokemon are of course gonna be eaten by other or even by humanity, and that's fine, it is the circle of life, but purposely inflicting pain, torturing, and wantonly killing pokemon is greatly forbidden, and will be punished accordingly.

Worst case scenario is that the Pokemon's representative will get mad and will decimate a city… I am not kidding, some special and powerful pokemon are akin to Gods, and can easily decimate even a continent, and even create one… But that's for when someone really piss them off."

Zeke's words caused Nino to drop her fork, while the other sister's ended up shaking.

"I-Isn't that dangerous then?! Letting potentially catastrophic pokemon come into this world.." Ichika exclaimed, her hand shaking ever so slightly.

"Of course it is, but again, even without them, the world will end if one of the leaders of country fires of a nuke if they ever want to because they woke up in the wrong side of the bed, at least with pokemon, you can reason with them rather easily, as long as you don't make them really angry, like for example, killing or poaching a Bagon in front of its mother Salamence, A literal dragon.

You can imagine the consequence if an innocent person stumbles upon the mother, and even worse, is if the mother somehow traces the baby into a city…"

"That is precisely why we are contacting different country leaders, and we had already partnered up with one. The others, we are substituting for influential people or people with great potential, just like me, and the five of you."

Zeke sighed before he lowered his head in shame.

"I apologize for my outburst, I got a bit worked up."
