Replacement
Killer appeared in the mansion again, a scowl on his face as he wondered why he had been summoned. “Why am I here? I was enjoying pulling a little boy’s guts out,” he muttered, his voice laced with irritation. He thought he was alone until Beelzebub materialized beside him. “Were you able to eat them?” she asked, her eyes gleaming with curiosity.
“No! And I was about to!” he yelled, his voice echoing with anger. The rest of the Yeagers soon arrived, their presence adding to the tension in the room. They quickly noticed Atsadi and Ace were missing and that Gaia’s body was badly damaged. “Damn, what happened to you?” Beelzebub asked, eyeing Gaia’s injuries with a mix of curiosity and disdain.
Killer pulled out his phone and showed her a video of Gaia’s defeat at the hands of Griffin. Beelzebub started to laugh. “He made you his bitch!” she mocked, her laughter echoing through the room. Gaia’s face turned red with anger. “You were watching the whole time, Killer?” he roared, advancing on Killer with murderous intent.
In a flash, Gaia summoned his scythe and attempted to decapitate Killer. But before he could strike, his arm was severed, and Luna appeared, her presence commanding the room. “Gaia, that’s enough. You’re putting the Yeager ranks in shambles,” she said, her voice cold and authoritative.
“It’s okay, Luna. I could have dodged it. It’s just us playing,” Killer said, attempting to defuse the situation.
“I’m not saying it for your sake. Do you understand me, Gaia?” Luna responded, her eyes locking onto Gaia’s.
“Yes, queen,” Gaia replied, bowing his head in submission, his severed arm already beginning to regenerate.
Luna stepped forward, her gaze sweeping over the gathered Yeagers. “Atsadi and Ace are dead,” she announced, her tone devoid of emotion.
“Aw shucks, my bad. I was the one who turned Ace into a Yeager. Sorry for him being weak,” Killer said with a shrug.
“It’s not your fault. Ace lost to a kid. He was a weakling. I didn’t save him because of that. And Atsadi—he lost to Griffin, but what makes me angrier is that Ace lost to a damn fiftheen-year-old kid,” Luna said, her voice rising with anger. All of them felt her wrath and immediately fell to their knees, bowing deeply. Killer, however, remained seated cross-legged on the floor, his expression indifferent.
“Really, why do I keep all of you around? Except for Killer, all of you are useless,” Luna said, her voice dripping with disdain.
“Were sorry Your Majesty,” all six of them said
“He lost to Rex? Man, now I want to fight him,” Killer said, his grin widening.
“So what’s the new plan?” Shadow asked, his voice steady despite the unsettling news.
“It’s going to take some time, but it will happen in Japan,” Luna said, her eyes glinting with determination.
“Understood,” Shadow said, nodding.
“The person who will be going on this mission is one,” Luna continued. She snapped her fingers, and a girl stepped out from the shadows. “This is Natalia, the new Yeager rank four.”
“It’s nice to meet you. My name is Killer,” he said, extending his hand. Natalia didn’t take it; she simply looked at them with disdain.
“Except for this kid here, you’re all weak,” she declared, her voice dripping with contempt.
Everyone was taken aback by her boldness. Destiny looked up from his handheld console, smirking. “That’s a good way to greet us,” he thought.
“I will kill Rex Jones myself because none of you are capable of doing it,” Natalia said, her eyes blazing with confidence.
“I’m picking her to come with me to Japan when the time comes. But for now, kill Rex Jones at all costs,” Luna commanded, her eyes scanning the room.
