What the hell is making games in the Ninja World?

Chapter 18: Chapter 13 : Fugaku's Doubts!!

Next, Uchiha Fugaku begins to personally experience the effects of the genjutsu game.

He starts it right here in the training room, without calling anyone else to observe or supervise, showing his absolute trust and support for Uchiha Kai.

In terms of attitude, there's no denying it. Even though their relationship is based on mutual interests, Uchiha Kai can't help but feel touched by Uchiha Fugaku's boldness and trust.

To be fair, given Uchiha Fugaku's character and way of doing things, it was destined for tragedy when he crossed paths with the Konoha Council.

However, being on good terms with someone like Minato Namikaze means that the Uchiha clan is likely to overcome its struggles and experience a rebirth in the future.

In the original Naruto series, Uchiha Fugaku did indeed try to follow Minato Namikaze's path. Unfortunately, he was betrayed by one of the Uchiha clan's biggest rebels, Uchiha Obito.

This betrayal not only dealt a huge blow to the Uchiha clan but also led to Minato's sacrifice, ultimately dragging the entire Uchiha clan down with him.

One can only say it's the author's fault, intentionally writing a tragedy.

After entering the genjutsu game, Uchiha Fugaku, like Minato Namikaze, was shocked by the eerie, hellish scenes within.

Though he kept his serious expression, when Uchiha Fugaku was suddenly startled by a female spirit whispering in his ear from behind, his Sharingan went into full activation, eyes wide open in shock.

It's clear that beneath that stern, serious exterior, he was deeply frightened.

Undoubtedly, when it comes to temperament, Uchiha Fugaku isn't lacking. In some ways, he's even stronger than Minato Namikaze—at least in terms of enduring pressure, Minato can't compare to him.

Though it may seem embarrassing, the ability to endure is, in fact, a form of resilience.

For instance, even now, while it feels like his heart might leap out of his chest, with his Sharingan wide open and the tomoe spinning rapidly,

If you look past all that, you'll still see Fugaku's face completely expressionless, as if he's unaffected by the world around him. This unwavering composure gives the Uchiha clan the illusion that he's a true man among men, the Uchiha of Uchihas, a born leader of the clan.

To be honest, if one didn't know the full story behind Uchiha Fugaku, Uchiha Kai would have to admire Fugaku's terrifying mindset. In the future, he would undoubtedly become a great leader.

However, clearing the game still required real courage. From here on, Uchiha Fugaku would have to rely on himself.

Honestly, even before reaching the fork in the road where he had to choose, Uchiha Fugaku was already feeling so uneasy that he wanted to run away.

It was truly... unbelievable.

Although Uchiha Kai had repeatedly warned him that the game felt very real and had mentioned that there would be ghostly things like those from strange folklore, he had never mentioned anything this terrifying!

Before starting the game: He had been calm, thinking that it was just a collection of folk legends—nothing to be afraid of. He felt there was nothing to worry about.

After starting the game: What the hell is this? What in the world is going on?! Ahhh!!! What are these terrifying things?! I want to go home!!!

This roughly describes Uchiha Fugaku's change in mindset. With gritted teeth, he reached the fork in the road, staring at the three paths in front of him, each with a different, ominous color. Every path seemed bad, and he wanted nothing more than to turn around and leave.

It was a completely new experience, the kind that filled him with an overwhelming fear of the "unknown," creating a psychological scar that would last.

To be honest, Uchiha Fugaku really wanted to tell Uchiha Kai, "Let's call it a day. The genjutsu game test was a success. We can stop now."

However, due to the dignity of his position as the clan's heir, Uchiha Fugaku felt that if he ended the game here, his image and authority in Kai's eyes would completely crumble. That was something he absolutely couldn't accept.

So, in the end, Uchiha Fugaku had no choice but to suppress his urge to back down, constantly reminding himself in his heart, This is all fake. As long as I get through it, it's fine. He tried to comfort himself like this, which was also a form of self-PUA.

The classic situation of wanting to save face but suffering in silence.

From the perspective of Uchiha Kai, who could see everything from a god-like view, it felt like he was watching a scene from his previous life, where streamers were playing horror games.

Some of them were clearly very scared, already too terrified to continue, but they had to force themselves to keep streaming, producing a hilarious effect that brought endless entertainment and iconic moments to the audience.

For example, "My cupboard moved, I'm not playing anymore" and such.

Hmm...

If the mental network could continue expanding, it wouldn't be impossible to start this business, but for now, it's not feasible. The system's technology only allows him to create some ordinary single-player games.

To bring the 'ideas' in his mind to life, he would need to see if the system could generate more coins.

In the illusion game, Uchiha Fugaku also chose a path to follow.

Unlike Minato Namikaze, Uchiha Fugaku's first choice was the red path, representing battle and slaughter.

This was probably because the Uchiha clan's Sharingan was red, which influenced his decision.

However, in reality, it didn't matter which path was chosen, because all three paths ultimately had to be completed to enter the next stage.

The question was whether Uchiha Fugaku would end up like Minato and become addicted to the "thrill of battle," remaining stuck in the red zone without progressing further.

Entering the red zone, faced with a world entirely tinted in red, Uchiha Fugaku felt a chill run down his spine.

Though he had mentally prepared himself due to previous experiences, arriving here still made him feel that Uchiha Kai's illusion game was ridiculously absurd.

In fact, what shocked Uchiha Fugaku the most wasn't how real the illusion world felt—so real that it almost seemed indistinguishable from the real world—but that his strength could not break this illusionary world.

Yes, that was the most shocking part for Uchiha Fugaku.

After all, the Sharingan, besides its proficiency in genjutsu, also had special abilities to see through illusions. Especially with the Mangekyō Sharingan, theoretically, no genjutsu in the ninja world should be able to escape its detection.

As the heir of the Uchiha clan, Fugaku Uchiha's Three Tomoe Sharingan was considered a pinnacle among Three Tomoe Sharingans, possessing the ability to easily break illusions.

However, to his surprise, his previously unstoppable Three Tomoe Sharingan proved completely ineffective against the illusion game. It was as if the Sharingan itself had entered this illusionary world, becoming part of it.

This was absurd. It completely shattered Fugaku Uchiha's worldview. He was tempted to immediately confront Uchiha Kai and ask, "Is that really a One Tomoe Sharingan you're using, or is it a Mangekyō Sharingan disguised as a One Tomoe?"

Yes, Fugaku Uchiha seriously suspected that Uchiha Kai's Sharingan was, in fact, the legendary Mangekyō Sharingan, the ultimate eye of the Uchiha clan that surpassed the Three Tomoe Sharingan.

Only the illusion techniques cast by the legendary Mangekyō Sharingan could render the powerful Three Tomoe Sharingan completely powerless.
