Chapter 115 - She's Acting Strange

Jiang Zi’s hand froze mid-motion, her pupils contracting sharply. Her disbelieving gaze turned to the girl beside her, who looked relaxed and nonchalant. For a moment, she wondered if she had misheard.

The words still echoed in her mind, filling her heart with indescribable sweetness — though tinged with a faint sense of unreality, like something too good to grasp.

Tang Yuan had anticipated her reaction. She poked Jiang Zi’s cheek with her index finger, a hint of smugness in her expression. “Getting married on the winter solstice — you’re the one who said that, sister. Seeing you so shocked, I thought you didn’t know.”

Then, as if suddenly realizing something, she teased, “Oh no, don’t tell me you’re upset because I announced it on stream?”

Jiang Zi let go of the tablet in her hand and turned her gaming chair to face Tang Yuan. One hand pressed down on the webcam, tilting it away from the unattended screen.

【Ahhh! What’s happening?!】

【Wait, wait, wait — did they just say they’re getting married? Am I dreaming?】

【Winter solstice?! Are you serious?!】

【Four months away… Can I fast-forward time, please?!】

【Being a Jiang Tang shipper is the best blessing ever!】

【Have they kissed enough? Have they?!】

With the camera turned away, Jiang Zi had only one thing left to do — kiss her wifey.

She leaned in, rising from her seat and pressing Tang Yuan against the chair’s backrest, trapping her in the small space. The overwhelming, possessive kiss fell like a tidal wave, leaving Tang Yuan no choice but to tilt her head back.

Jiang Zi poured all her burning affection into the kiss — fervent, honest, and unrestrained.

Only when Tang Yuan’s tongue tingled, her lips swollen and scalding, did she instinctively wrap her arms around Jiang Zi, letting out a faint, helpless whimper.

Yet she made no move to stop her.

When Jiang Zi finally opened her eyes, her fox-like gaze was clouded with desire. Hidden within the whirlpool of her dark pupils was an emotion too deep to fathom.

Their lips lingered together, soft and tender, before Jiang Zi straightened up and shut down the computer with a single, ruthless press — cutting off the livestream without a second thought.

Tang Yuan’s misty eyes fluttered open, still dazed. She gazed at Jiang Zi, confused by the sudden end of the kiss.

Jiang Zi leaned down again, resting her forehead against hers, voice low and gentle. “It’s midnight now. Happy Valentine’s Day, little Tang Yuan.”

“Valentine’s Day… Right.” Tang Yuan’s delayed response came with a blush, as if she’d just remembered something. “I prepared a gift — wait here.”

She pushed Jiang Zi aside and dashed out to the living room, returning with a small, delicate pink box labeled Wish Box in clashing, childish handwriting.

“There are fifty-two wish cards inside — I wrote them all myself. Every day, you can redeem one.” Tang Yuan placed the box in Jiang Zi’s hands. “Of course, nothing too abstract — mostly little things, like cooking a meal for you.”

Jiang Zi’s eyes gleamed with curiosity, about to peek inside — only for Tang Yuan to slap her hand down urgently. “No peeking! You have to draw them randomly. That’s the rule.”

Jiang Zi chuckled softly, rubbing her fingers over the words on the box. “When did you prepare this?”

Tang Yuan’s ears flushed red. She grumbled, “It’s been a long time coming…”

Snatching the box back, she placed it on the desk and fixed her bright gaze on Jiang Zi. “Sister, about those handcuffs you mentioned before — you didn’t throw them away, did you?”

Jiang Zi’s brow twitched. She couldn’t quite grasp her intention, but she still nodded honestly. “No… But only because I forgot, not because I didn’t want to. I can throw them out right—”

“Go get them.” Tang Yuan interrupted firmly.

“Huh?” Jiang Zi’s amber eyes sparkled, uncertain. “You… want to use them?”

Tang Yuan nodded, her voice sweet. “For you to use.”

Jiang Zi’s fingertips trembled slightly, heat rising behind her eyes. Could it mean what she thought?

She went to the wardrobe, pulling out a custom-made box with intricate carvings. The cuffs were smooth and rounded — designed with care so they would never hurt delicate wrists.

Tang Yuan cradled them in her palm, her gaze lifting to Jiang Zi’s, soft and coaxing. “Sister, give me your hands.”

Jiang Zi hesitated for three seconds before obediently offering both hands — a willing prey surrendering herself.

“Tang Yuan… I want to know—”

“You don’t need to know.” Tang Yuan clicked the cuffs closed and tossed the key onto the table. She dragged Jiang Zi to the bed, pressing her down and pinning her hands above her head.

Like a little lamb trying to play wolf, without even the claws to match.

“Don’t think about anything now.”

Straddling Jiang Zi’s waist, Tang Yuan traced her fingers from her chin down to her collar, slowly undoing her buttons one by one. “Teacher Jiang has been such a good teacher — let’s see how well your student has learned.”

Jiang Zi stirred, instinctively trying to raise her hands — but Tang Yuan swiftly pressed them down again. “Don’t move.”

‘Getting married on the winter solstice, sister said so herself.’

‘Jiang Zi! You really need to restrain yourself!’

‘Sister, where are those handcuffs you prepared?’

Jiang Zi closed her eyes, surrendering — both to Tang Yuan’s boldness and to her own desire.

That night, Tang Yuan was the most daring she’d ever been — whispering lines straight out of romance novels, words she used to be too shy to say without Jiang Zi’s guidance.

Though… her technique as a pillow princess still needed work. By the latter half of the night, Jiang Zi had flipped the roles entirely. The handcuffs had vanished at some point — no one knew when — leaving no trace behind.

After showering, Tang Yuan barely made it back to bed before falling asleep, the lights still on.

Jiang Zi sat beside her, watching her sleeping face for a long time — long enough for Tang Yuan to turn away in her sleep.

Only then did she lie down and turn off the lights.

“System.”

The room was silent until Jiang Zi’s voice quietly called out.

No response.

“The system inside Tang Yuan’s mind.” This time, she specified — a pointed call, even without knowing its name.

For the first time, she tried communicating with the mysterious presence.

【Hello.】

A flat, mechanical voice answered.

Jiang Zi’s eyes remained calm — as if she’d expected this all along.

“Tang Yuan remembers something now, doesn’t she? When she was alone in the bedroom… what happened?”

She’d noticed the difference in Tang Yuan’s behavior.

After Tang Yuan returned, Jiang Zi hadn’t heard a single thought from her — not one.

Something had definitely happened.
