The Villain's Ascension

Chapter 13: Chapter 12: The Web Tightens

Loras stood at the center of a grand hall, his eyes sweeping across the sea of kneeling figures before him. The shadows of the Doom family stretched long across the room, and the once-celebrated power of the family had grown silent under his presence. What had once been a proud and influential clan was now nothing more than the vehicle for Loras' greater ambitions. No one in the room dared to speak—most were still reeling from the revelation that their youngest heir, the boy they once regarded with indifference, was now their undisputed ruler.

At just ten years old, Loras had ascended to heights of power that many could only dream of. His cultivation in the Great Ascension realm had earned him the right to step outside the boundaries of the Doom family's lands, but it was his control over the Shadow Scorpion organization that had truly cemented his influence. With this network of spies, assassins, and loyalists, he had silently orchestrated the fall of many once-powerful clans and factions, their leaders either eliminated or cowed into submission.

Loras had already begun expanding his reach into the Immortal World, a realm where the strongest cultivators reigned supreme. But he was not content with simply claiming territory in the lower worlds. No, his ambitions were far grander. Loras had already set his sights on the Divine World. A world of gods, where power beyond the comprehension of mortals existed. To rule this world, Loras needed to first consolidate his position in the Immortal World, and that meant dealing with the old powers who had long held sway.

"Your cultivation is unparalleled, young master," said a voice from the back of the hall, breaking the silence. It was Alhass, the long-time steward of the Doom family and one of the few who truly understood Loras' true potential. "But be careful, young master. The Immortal World is vast. Even with the power you command, there are those who would seek to challenge you."

Loras' gaze flickered towards Alhass, who had long been loyal to the family, even before Loras' ascension. He knew the steward was merely cautioning him out of concern, but Loras had no intention of heeding such warnings. He knew the dangers of the Immortal World—he had read the novels, studied the rise of past heroes and emperors. The one thing he had learned from these stories was that power was fleeting, and it was up to him to seize it while he still could.

"I am not worried about the challenges of the Immortal World," Loras said coolly, his voice carrying the weight of absolute certainty. "They will fall before me, just as all others have. The Divine World awaits, and nothing will stand in my way."

Alhass frowned, but nodded. "As you wish, young master. What are your plans now?"

Loras' lips curled into a slight, calculating smile. "First, we expand. We need to establish a foothold in the Immortal World. The Shadow Scorpion's influence must stretch to every corner of it. Then, we eliminate any potential threats, particularly those sons of luck who may rise to challenge me. Once I've consolidated my position there, we move on to the Divine World."

He paused, his eyes scanning the room, focusing on each of the family's loyal leaders. "The Doom family will no longer be limited by the Immortal World. We are a dynasty that will span realms. If anyone dares challenge us, they will pay the price."

As Loras spoke, his mind raced with possibilities. The Shadow Scorpion had already infiltrated powerful sects and clans within the Immortal World, and he had placed his loyal followers in positions of influence. The first phase of his plan was complete, but there were still many pieces to move.

One by one, the families and factions that had once ruled the Immortal World began to bow before him. Loras had strategically eliminated the most powerful threats, either through assassination or subjugation. He knew that there were still forces at play who could bring him down, but they were few, and they were weak. The Shadow Scorpion had eyes everywhere, and no one could hide from its reach.

But Loras knew that even as he expanded his control, he needed to prepare for the eventual uprising. The sons of luck, the so-called heroes, were inevitable. They were always born with the potential to change the world, to shake the foundations of power. Loras had no intention of letting them reach their full potential. If they dared rise, they would find the world stacked against them, with no room for success. He would destroy their allies, erode their luck, and eliminate them before they could ever pose a threat.

As the months passed, Loras' influence continued to grow. The Doom family, once a proud and powerful clan, was now a tool in his hands. He had already begun making preparations for his next move, expanding the Shadow Scorpion's reach into new territories, into new worlds.

Loras' true cultivation had already surpassed the Immortal World's Emperor Immortal realm. He was already stepping into the realm of the True Immortals, and the power he possessed was beginning to show. But he knew that in the Divine World, even the True Immortals were insignificant. He had to become something greater, something that even the gods would bow before.

"Now," Loras said, his voice taking on an icy edge. "We make our move. We control everything, or we destroy it all."

With the Shadow Scorpion at his command, and the Doom family as his foundation, Loras was ready to push forward. The first world would soon fall under his control, and the others would follow.

The web he had so carefully woven had now become a trap, one that no one could escape. The time for subtle manipulation had passed. Now, Loras was ready to take what was his—and the worlds would tremble before him.
