Chapter 2. (10)
*************
A few days later, Turyn could be seen lying on the pasture fields deep in thought. He was currently remembering what had happened a few days ago when he had killed the Monstrous Nightmare and received a surge of energy as well as a vast amount of information. Information so ridiculous that he couldn’t even begin to fathom whether he was still dreaming or not.
Firstly, he had received information finalizing where he truly came from. You see when he was five years old, an age which he suspects would be when his brain was developed enough to handle a vast amount of data, he had received memories that had been locked away within his subconscious which revealed that he was currently a reincarnated person from planet called Earth called Wesh from Africa into an entirely different world.
However, it was also revealed that he was missing a few memories particularly about his family and friends but other than that he could remember everything else from his previous life.
Now with the knowledge he had received at that time he had two options, he could choose to reveal his identity to his parents which he immediately rejected as he would either be viewed as a demon possessed child and sentenced to death by burning or he would be tortured by those around him to death for being blasphemous against the gods or to simply obtain information about how to get to his original world which would also be impossible as he too didn’t know how to do so at the time let alone how to show others the way there.
The second option would be to simply continue as he had been, as a Viking child of the chieftain of Ragna village. His memories had already assimilated perfectly into his body resulting in no abnormalities. If there was a way to describe it, it would be like he was a child who suddenly gained a few extra memories so in actually he was still just the same little Tuweryn just with more knowledge and information than should be possible for a child.
Even his feelings were the same as he could feel that he loved his mother and father in this world and cared for his village deeply. He also tended to be brash and violent just like a typical Viking child and so the choice was made, he would live normally in this world as a Viking.
Eventually he had adapted so well to the Viking world speech, dressing and customs that he even came to forget that he was actually not from this world and that he didn’t actually believe in Odin but what happened a few days ago had reawakened his memories.
However, his memories weren’t the only thing he received after all while the remaining memories he received were shocking as they contained memories of his family and friends, it was what he received alongside them that had stumped him.
A few days ago alongside his remaining memories, he had received a sudden rush of energy and with it was some information of something he had received, no, it would be more appropriate to say something that had always been there which had simply been awakened.
The information he received was instinctual similar to how a new-born baby instinctively knows how to breath and feed, no one teaches it how to do so and yet it does as the means do so are already engrained deep within their very bodies, their very instincts.
And now he had received such instinctual information. Apparently, the energy rush he had felt was a power being awakened within his body like the powers commonly seen in superheroes and villains in the films back on Earth. It was a special power capable of granting the user any powers they could imagine however the power had limits.
- The powers granted only worked to their specific constraints detailed in their description. They will not be able be able to do anything else other than what had been described in their descriptions.
- In order for the powers to be created, his main power needed a large amount of energy to create them.
- The energy gathered by the original power is only meant for power creation and cannot be used for anything else.
- Some powers may not be automatically suitable to the human body so for example If you say that you have a power capable of creating and manipulating fire, the fire will still burn you as your body doesn’t automatically become resistant to fire. You need to either add another specification to your power to deal with such issues or simply have another ability capable of contrasting with the other powers.
- You are capable of modifying any power you create however doing so will require even more energy. Some modifications may even cost more than the modified power itself.
- The powers created are classified in terms of tiers based on their abilities and area of effect with the weakest being at Tier 1 going higher. The more powerful and useful the ability, the higher its tier.
- Some powers you wish to create may result in your immediate death, in such cases your main power will instinctively warn you that you are in incredible danger. The danger sense only works when powers are being created and nothing more.
- Your original power cannot be modified unlike the rest of the powers you receive.
It was truly a lot of information to take in. Turyn spent a lot of time going through the information he had received about his new power which he named ‘Genesis’ over and over again until he had completely memorized the rules of his new power. He called his powers Genesis because that was what the first section of the Bible detailing the creation of everything was called and it seemed perfect considering his powers focused on the creation of other abilities.
