The Red Dragon Just Wants To Do As It Pleases

Chapter 108: Shot Down (Part 2)

But her smooth, flowing actions made him feel inexplicably comfortable!

He thought this female Green Dragon was beautiful, with a seductive figure, fierce in battle, powerful, knew how to carry herself as a Dragon, and was damn good at winning favor. She always came through for him when it mattered, saving his face. She was a Dragon he could trust with important matters.

Until this moment, David, experiencing this kind of treatment for the first time, suddenly seemed to understand why those in high positions in his previous life just loved to promote those who were good at flattering, especially when some who excelled at flattery were like Nifadora—not only beautiful but also highly capable. That was simply unstoppable. Having someone like that by your side was truly blissful!

Arrogance

Sloth

The smiling Nifadora deliberately fell half a step behind David, her Dragon Lord. Accompanied by a group of followers, she escorted him towards the Dragon Nest, where a feast had been prepared. As they walked, she spoke with an admiring gaze, guiding David to casually recount his impressive military exploits on the new Continent, especially the great war against the Drow in the Gloomy Region, drawing gasps of amazement from the listeners.

Attilicia, who always presented himself as a female Drow Elf, followed David. His critical gaze, however, was fixed on Nifadora, scrutinizing the constant swaying of her tail and her ample dragon rump.

It was like a father-in-law scrutinizing the charming and enchanting girlfriend his son brought home, disapproving of every aspect.

After all, who in the blazes could accept their future daughter-in-law being the same age as them, or even a bit older?

Go on, show yourself if you can.

And Nifadora's little schemes? They might fool his son, David, but could they really fool Attilicia? He was also a young dragon and had long since experienced such things.

He, Attilicia, knew! He had seen firsthand how terrifying and insatiable a female dragon in heat could be!

This young female dragon's flirtatious movements, the way she occasionally pretended to accidentally brush against his son's scales—damn it, these were unmistakable signs of an impending mating season!

And all that talk of 'my dearest friend, the leader of Red Dragons whom I follow'—such half-veiled, half-flattering words were all too familiar to Attilicia.

Duke Mirillian of the Silver Wheel had initially used friendship to draw closer to him, feigning admiration for his magic and alchemy to lower his guard.

Until one banquet, after he had too much to drink, the equally intoxicated Mirillian almost dragged him straight to her bedroom. If not for the Sobering Potions Attilicia always kept on hand, he likely would have been taken advantage of by the drunken Duke of Silver that night!

Attilicia's rejection had left Mirillian heartbroken, nearly driving her to torment herself with those soul-searching questions:

Was it because she, the Duke of Silver, wasn't pretty enough?

Or was her seductive, dragon-alluring figure not good enough?

Or was she, the ruler of Saeolus City, not wealthy enough?

Ultimately, after careful consideration, Attilicia had presented himself as a victim. He confessed that he had been violated by the Crimson Calamity, Pafila, a trauma that led him to develop a phobia of the opposite sex. So much so... that now, when he encountered an attractive female, he found himself... unable to rise to the occasion...

This compelling excuse finally dissuaded the Duke of Silver from her impulse to claim the delicate Silver Dragon for herself.

It also maintained their ambiguous relationship to this day.

It was this experience that made Attilicia realize how dangerous a female Green Dragon like Mirillian could be!

If you weren't careful and fell for their tricks, it would be utter ruin!

On the surface, it might seem they defer to your every wish. But fall into the clutches of such cunning and manipulative females, and in reality, isn't everything you possess as good as theirs?

Even if you conquered the world, they would have already conquered the world by conquering you.

In any case, a female Green Dragon like Nifadora was definitely not a suitable mate! Perhaps, reluctantly, one might consider her as a lover.

With these thoughts, the old Silver Dragon father's mind began to race. He hurriedly recalled which Silver or Gold Dragon clans had daughters born around the time he was entering his youth, just before he left Dragon Island. He quickly compiled a mental catalog of 'prospective daughters-in-law,' ranked by appearance, family wealth, background, and so on.

He planned to find an opportunity to magically transcribe this list and discuss the matter with his son face-to-face.

Though his son was still young, he was already a Demigod!

With this in mind, Attilicia promptly added Heloise, the youngest daughter of His Majesty King Filious of the Swietlanden Silver Dragon clan, to the list. After a moment's thought, he moved her to the second position.

Looking at these daughters of Dragon Kings and clan patriarchs—figures he could only look up to in days past—and now being able to pick and choose among them for his son, a strange sense of superiority, even elation, welled up within him.

Hmph! If these people knew my son, David Uthos, already possessed the power of a Demigod at the tender age of seven, they'd be breaking down the door of my Dragon Nest with marriage proposals!

Just as the ever-persistent Silver Dragon father was instinctively busying himself with the matter of 'daughters-in-law' for David, a sudden sonic boom split the sky.

It looked like a glittering shooting star.

"Good heavens! Princess Tania has arrived! Everyone, quickly move away from the Master!" the White Dragon Mofei shouted clamorously.

Tania?! Is it my daughter whom I have never met before?

Attilicia instantly grew excited.

But just as he lifted his head, he was astonished to see all the dragons and Elves, including the female Green Dragon Nifadora, simultaneously recoil from David.

"WAAAH!!!"

"You actually remembered to come back!"

"I thought... I thought you'd died out there!!!"

Before the dragon even arrived, the Silver Dragon Tania's hoarse, heart-wrenching sobs echoed throughout the entire Dragon Nest encampment.

Deserted by the other dragons, David panicked at the sound of her voice. Like an ostrich that had momentarily forgotten how to fly, he frantically flapped his wings, preparing to take off and evade the incoming 'air raid'. He stammered in alarm, "Tania! Listen to me, I can explain—"

David had barely lifted off the ground when the silver figure homed in on him like a guided missile. No matter which way he twisted or turned, the rapidly approaching dragon shadow dove straight for him with unerring precision.

David, airborne, could only shout in futile despair, "Brake! Tania, slow down! BRAKE—OUCH, DAMN IT!!!"

CRACK.

Then, as all the onlookers winced and could hardly bear to watch, he was 'shot down' from midair by the 'Tania-Brand Flying Spear Missile.'

Judging by the sound alone, everyone knew that their Dragon Lord, the Red Dragon who had nearly battled his way through half the Gloomy Region on the new Continent, had probably broken half his ribs.

Ah? And Attilicia, 'meeting' his daughter for the first time.

He was stunned to see his formidable daughter deliver a headbutt that echoed throughout the Dragon Nest encampment, tackling David to the ground.

Then...

The two overlapping shadows rapidly engulfed him, hurtling straight towards where he stood.
