This also forces the body to its limits, tearing muscle fiber, burning nerves, and boiling blood. Costs 100 Aura/s. When kaioken ends, the modifier lingers for the original duration, before the backlash hits the user.)
Dark hand lv 1 1/10: (manifest a hand out of dark aura, and send it up to 1 foot away. Deals (str x atn) damage. Costs 1000 aura/second. Drains (atn x 10) aura a second. If the target has no aura, it drains lifeforce instead.)

"well...that's 3 new perks...phew boy, I'm beat..." I stand up on shaky legs and look around, and reach out with [Magic sense], and sense nothing. I groan as I walk back towards the Police station, and it takes 5 hours to get back in at nightfall. I walk inside, walk over to the cell where the Wellspring is, and collapse by it, groaning as it refreshes and heals me.
"what the hell happened to you?!" I look at Jonny as he yells, before rushing to my side. I sit up, and he sits next to me, expecting an explanation. "10 Beowolves and an Alpha Beowolf. I'm level 4 now. got a decent buff for it." Jonny nods "I can sense that...I can see that your HP is higher...[Observe]." I blink as he observes me, and he hits his leg "Damn that's a good buff! I need to get some EXP asap!" I look over "[Observe]"

Umbrus Ring: Increases HP heal from Umbrus to 1/2, allows Umbrus to heal MP, and heals wearer by 10hp/minute, and 10mp/minute.
Aldrich Amethyst: Heals 30 Hp per hit dealt by the wearer, and Restores 30 Sp and Ap per hit dealt by the wearer.
"Jonny, did you get this quest too?!" He nods. "I did. This is...wow. No way, I got objective 3 already! Nice!" Jonny holds up a charred ring, that I recognize. It is simply black metal, scorched darker. He puts it on and smiles warmly. I notice he also has a clay ring on his hand as well. The Great Swamp Ring and the Charred Band...that's a total of 15% more light and fire damage for Jonny! "Nice." I put my new rings on as well, noticing the thin, ornamental, banded ring on my left index finger. I slip the Umbrus ring, which is just a dark blue, glass-like ring, onto my left middle finger, and I slip the Aldrich Amethyst onto my right index finger. I grin as I feel the effects kick in.
"so...rest tonight, and go back out tomorrow?" "sounds good." I nod, and let the gentle hum of the Wellspring lull me to sleep, only barely aware of the Umbrus energy from it mending my clothes as I fall asleep.

I dream of my other life, not the one on earth, but the one in...Remnant. I dream of a life of schoolwork and trade school in Vacuo, learning with Jonny. I dream of losing my memory at 12, only knowing my name, that Jonny's my closest friend, and that I'm-
I wake up. I blink the sleep from my eyes and stand up. I see Jonny has already gone, and I find a note written on a scrap of paper. 'Out Exploring Mt. Glenn's streets. I'll be back at nightfall.'
I stretch and nearly fall over from unexpected weight at my waist. I look back and see a 4-foot-long black-furred monkey tail.
"...What the fuck- right, Saiyan. Bloody hell..."
I sigh, grabbing a coat from the coat rack in the office of the station, putting it on as I coil my tail around my waist like a belt, and walk out of the cell the Wellspring is in. I walk out of the Police Station, and look around, before walking to where I know the tunnels under Mt. Glenn are. I walk into the dark and blink as I notice the light levels don't change at all, and then I realize I can see in the dark. I walk for what feels like hours before I come across where it is collapsed. I feel intuition activate, and stay active, making me look up, and notice pipes that are huge, and go into the ceiling, and connect to the walls as well.
I reach up, and bash one of the pipes open with my elbow, before using Kaioken to help me jump in, though I almost falter at seeing the blood-red aura of light that Kaioken makes. I see inside, and grin as I see a grate a few feet away, leading up. I crawl forward, and push the grate up, climbing up into a alleyway, and putting the grate back down. Intuition makes me turn, and my blood runs cold and boils all at once.
I see 2 large, buff men, both of them being Wolf Faunus with wolf ears, and I feel Sin of Wrath activate as I see what they're doing. Pinned to a wall, with her clothes torn, is a young girl, with black hair that changes into red at the tips, with silver eyes, a small nose, and pale skin...Ruby Rose. One has a knife to her neck, and the other is looking through a red wallet. "oh hell no." I whisper as I walk forward. I feel the Sin of Wrath's influence take hold, as I clench my fist, as Kaioken activates.
I see them look up as I bumrush them and proceed to beat the bigger one of the two savagely. I break his arm with a grapple and shatter some ribs with a haymaker. I grin as he falls over, heaving and glaring at me. I look over at the other muggers and watch as they scream and beg for mercy. "Please mate, we won' do this again! I was jus' robbin 'er! Markie is the one who wanted to do 'er!" "I-I was just threatening her! I wasn't gonna do it! I'm not a predator! I-I swear I swear!!" I shake my head, sighing at their arrogance. "You will die. There is no way out. I cannot condone what you would have done. You nearly ruined her life. I cannot forgive that nor can I let you be forgiven." I snap 'Markie's' neck, and he falls over, making the other one yarp and whimper weakly. I let Kaioken fade, and I use [Observe].

"...Marcos. Your brother was killed by me because he was going to ruin that girl's life. I will simply..." I stab him in the hand with his own knife, and I smile as he screams in pain. "...take your hand." I watch as the blood leaks from his hand before I pull the blade out of his hand. [-20 dmg]. I pull him to his feet as The Sin of Wrath ends, and I look into his eyes and whisper to him. "Run. Live your life, thief. Know you were judged fairly, and have been given this one chance to change." I drop him and sigh as he runs off, whimpering as he does.
I put his knife in my inventory, and look at Ruby, who is sobbing in the corner of the alleyway. I walk over to her and gently touch her shoulder, and she startles, kicking me in the chest and sobbing "No! Please no! Don't touch me! I don't want to!" I let her keep kicking me, her bare feet not doing much damage to my HP, not even triggering my aura. "Hey. It's okay. They're gone. it's over." I pull off my coat, and drape it over her, snapping her out of her panic. "I...I thought...thank you!" She petal bursts and hugs me as she sobs. I hug her back awkwardly, and pat her back. "err...okay...there there...miss...?" "Ruby...Ruby Rose." "Ruby. You're gonna be okay. I chased one off, and the other...well...don't look down, okay?"
I see her eyes begin to drift, so I block her view with my body. "No. You shouldn't see this so soon." "I'm not some kid! I'm a huntress in academy training! I just got accepted to Beacon! I'm an adult....oh gods...urk!" She had pushed me aside, saw the body, and turned and vomited on the ground. "oh gods..." I sigh. "yeah. I warned ya, Ruby. I...I am not sorry for it...I just...snapped when I saw what he was doing to you. I...I'm sorry you had to see that. I really am. I-" I flinch as she stands tall and glares at me weakly. "SHUT UP! I...I understand but...I can't forgive you...n-not yet. You killed him, but he...was he really going to r-r...do that to me? He said he wasn't." "he was lying. You saw how quickly his own brother sold him out. He likely did this to other girls before. now they can rest easy..." I kneel by Markie's body and clasp my hands in prayer. "But still..."

I finish the prayer, and a black sprite rises from his corpse, vanishing soon after. I stand up and look at Ruby, who is putting her boots on, and pulling her skirt up. "Are you going to be okay? do I need to walk you home?" "I'll...I...yes please..." I frown as I hear the shame and fear in her voice as she pulls my coat tighter around her shoulders, and walks over to me. I pull the grate that I came up from open and drop Markie into it before closing it. "I'll take it away later. I... let's get you home safe, Yeah?"
Ruby nods, and walks beside me, silver eyes full of tears, and ...a spark of hope.
