Chapter 13: Chapter 13: Call Me Siyuan

Huo Siyuan held Xia Wan tightly in his arms, walking steadily and confidently toward the dining room.

As they got closer, a rich and enticing aroma filled the air, wrapping around Xia Wan's senses and making her nose twitch.

She couldn't help but lift her head slightly, curiously glancing around.

What she saw left her utterly stunned—before her was an enormous dining table, stretching out like a long dragon. Each side of the table could accommodate more than twenty people at once.

Near the walls, a row of well-trained maids and imposing guards stood in perfect formation. Their upright postures and solemn expressions added to the grandeur of the scene, leaving Xia Wan in awe.

Her gaze continued to wander until it landed on the center of the table, where a towering candelabrum stood. The flickering candlelight emitted a warm, gentle glow.

Above them, an elegant and luxurious chandelier hung gracefully, adorned with dazzling crystal pendants that sparkled beautifully, illuminating the entire dining hall with brilliance.

The table was filled with an abundance of exquisite dishes, transforming the scene into a feast for both the eyes and the palate.

Not only did the dishes look and smell incredible, but their tantalizing aroma spread throughout the room, making it impossible to resist. Even from afar, Xia Wan could clearly catch the mouthwatering scent, a testament to the chef's extraordinary culinary skills.

What amazed her even more was the sheer number of dishes on the table—by rough estimation, there were likely over a hundred. The lavish spread filled the table completely, leaving hardly any empty space.

Meanwhile, Huo Siyuan had already reached the head seat. A respectful maid stepped forward and gently pulled out the distinguished chair symbolizing the highest status.

Huo Siyuan sat down unhurriedly, as if everything was completely natural. Then, without hesitation, he pulled the petite Xia Wan onto his lap.

Seated on Huo Siyuan's thigh, Xia Wan instinctively wrapped her arms around his neck.

Her cheeks flushed a deep red, resembling a ripe apple. She shyly lowered her head, feeling her heart pounding wildly as if a little deer were leaping inside her chest.

After a moment, she finally mustered the courage to look up at Huo Siyuan and murmured in a voice as soft as a whisper, "Mr. Huo... could you please put me down first?"

Huo Siyuan gazed at his petite and adorable wife, his eyes lingering on the faint tear stains at the corners of her eyes.

Clearly, she had cried earlier on the balcony out of fear, and the traces of her tears still remained. A pang of discomfort tugged at his heart.

"I won't let you go. This is nice—I can feed you while we eat," Huo Siyuan said gently.

Xia Wan couldn't believe her ears, feeling as if she had misheard. Her mind was filled with doubt. Feed me? This... this...?

Before she could react, one of his arms wrapped tightly around her slender waist, while the other carefully scooped up a spoonful of aromatic bird's nest and fish maw soup, bringing it to her lips.

"Be good, open your mouth," Huo Siyuan coaxed softly.

Xia Wan hurriedly tried to explain, "Mr. Huo, you know... I'm already 18 years old. I don't need someone to take care of me like a child..."

Before she could finish her sentence, Huo Siyuan had already placed the delicious food into her mouth, cutting her off.

As Xia Wan chewed and savored the delightful taste, she couldn't help but exclaim, "Wow! This is so delicious! What is this made of?"

Back in the Xia household, life had been decent—her basic needs were met—but she had never experienced such luxurious delicacies before.

"Since you like the bird's nest and fish maw soup, I can have them prepare it for you every day," Huo Siyuan said casually.

Hearing that she could enjoy such delicacies daily, Xia Wan felt overjoyed. Who could possibly refuse such wonderful food?

With a bright, sweet smile, she nodded and replied, "Okay! Thank you so much, Mr. Huo."

However, as Huo Siyuan heard her addressing him as "Mr. Huo" again, his sharp brows furrowed slightly.

"Wanwan, we're legally married. You shouldn't call me 'Mr. Huo' anymore—find a better name."

Xia Wan thought that what he said made sense, so she obediently nodded in agreement and began to ponder a suitable form of address.

After thinking for a while, she finally said in a clear, sweet voice, "Then I'll call you Huo Siyuan."

But Huo Siyuan wasn't satisfied. He shook his head and said, "No, calling me by my full name feels too distant. Also, stop with the formalities."

Distant? Aren't we just strangers? We've only met twice! Xia Wan thought to herself but didn't dare say it out loud.

Nearby, the maids inwardly shook their heads in disbelief. No, no, this isn't about closeness or distance—it's just that no one dares to call the Second Master by his full name. Outside, everyone respectfully calls him 'Second Master.' Anyone who dared to call him by his full name wouldn't live long enough to see the next day.

After some thought, Xia Wan said softly, "How about I call you Siyuan?"

Huo Siyuan nodded approvingly and, in a captivating voice, said, "That works. But besides that, you can also call me Ah Yuan, or even... hubby."

Hearing his charming voice, Xia Wan blushed even more.

Seeing how easily she blushed, Huo Siyuan smiled warmly and said, "Looks like my Wanwan gets shy easily."

Hearing this, Xia Wan's heartbeat quickened. She tugged at Huo Siyuan's collar and shyly protested, "Siyuan, you're teasing me again. Stop it."

Huo Siyuan gazed at the person in his arms with deep affection. With graceful movements, he picked up a piece of tender beef and said gently, "Wanwan, open your mouth."

Snuggled in his embrace, Xia Wan obediently turned her head and took a small bite, savoring it with delight as if it were the best thing she had ever tasted.

After a moment, she exclaimed, "Siyuan, this beef is so tender and delicious!"

Her eyes darted around before finally settling on Huo Siyuan. "Siyuan, shouldn't we wait for the others to eat? It feels wrong to start without them."

Looking at his pure and kind-hearted wife, Huo Siyuan's heart swelled with fondness. To him, she was the brightest star in the night sky, radiating a captivating glow.

In a gentle tone, he said, "Everyone's already here. Who else are you waiting for?"

Xia Wan, startled, stammered, "Just us two? Then... why did they prepare so much food? What about Grandma?"

"Grandma? After finding me such a good wife, she went traveling around the world."

Xia Wan blushed at his words.

"It's fine, we don't have to finish everything. Just try a little bit of each dish," Huo Siyuan reassured.

Beside them, the butler wanted to explain, It's not wasteful—Second Master is just a picky eater with a small appetite. The chefs, all six-star masters, have been trying everything to satisfy him.

However, the butler could only keep these thoughts to himself.

For the rest of the meal, Huo Siyuan tenderly fed Xia Wan bite by bite.

Xia Wan, immersed in his gentle care, found it impossible to resist such a handsome man feeding her so lovingly.
