"Wait a minute, he's actually human?" The blue haired girl said with a frown.

Her expression suddenly grew icy cold and so did the gazes of the other fairies around her.

Without waiting for Adrian to speak, they got into fighting stances, completely baffling the poor guy.

There were three girls and two boys around Adrian's age. Before now, all five of them had a good time and were chatting fine before Adrian suddenly bounced in without notice.

Considering the rivalry of their races, it was explainable why they immediately wanted him dead just minutes after locking gazes with him.

"Just take it slowly, I didn't mean to intrude, it was all an accident alright" Adrian spoke as he slowly but steadily retreated.

However, the five fairies kept on twirling and circling around him like butterflies around a tulips. They appeared to be seeking a flaw while assessing him for the prime time to strike. All Adrian's words were inaudible to the fairies.

Right then, a red haired teen amongst the five fairies seized the right opportunity to strike. He had wings shaped like a phoenix but a bit smaller around the size of a big butterfly.

He was the first to attack Adrian with a ball of flame. The flame shot towards Adrian blanketing all in his view, he couldn't even see the attacker's face.

"So... so hot" Adrian muttered in a daze, he was fixed on the spot as the aura of the red haired fairy locked on him, immobilizing his movement.

When he was about kissing the flaming ball, he instinctively flinched back and his sorcerer coat gathered up some wind. The flapping gesture made by the coat triggered its protective enchantment, successfully repelling the flame ball towards another direction.

"You guys are so wild" Adrian barked angrily. His life could have ended just now and these fairies didn't seem like they cared about that, just because he was a human.

"Hmph! Luckily for you, you were able to dodge that! Let's see you try again" the flame fairy's face gleamed, his eyes sparked with a fierce glint as he got ready to attack.

"Haolia Inferna!" He thundered, his hand swerving nonstop as he shot out the ball of flame big as the sun towards Adrian.

"Withering Wind!" Adrian chanted and caused a magical wind barrier to appear in front of him, shielding him from the flame.

At first it was successful, however the intense heat from the sunlike flame ball exploded the wind barrier, flinging Adrian sideways.

Adrian struggled for a while before he was able to regain his balance, albeit barely surviving, he shook his coat off to shove away the flames that were caught up on them.

His appearance was a total mess but at least he survived the deathly blow of the flame fairy a second time.

"Brother Flynn, let me help you" the blue haired girl muttered gently as she took several steps forward in midair. Her dazzling ice blue wings fluttered lightly behind her.

Her delicate hands moved in a strange pattern as she aimed at Adrian.

"Melodio Isis" she chanted aloud and made a gesture of playing the keyboard in midair.

A soft melodious tune played in the surroundings, causing the area around Adrian to begin snowing like crazy from all four directions especially from the sky. The clouds even became shrouded with chilling ice fogs.

Adrian felt a suffocating chill that penetrated through the thick layered coat he wore. The unusual feeling of being frozen dawned on him in an instant.

"Winter Shield" Adrian condensed an elemental shield to cover him entirely from head to toe. From an outside view, he appeared to be encased in a glassy shield.

The snowflakes that fell trembled on the glassy shield that absorbed their magical energy.

"Really skillful, but that's where you've crossed the line" the blue haired fairy smiled coldly.

She pulled out three needles from the void and flicked at Adrian who was protected in the shield.

When it shot towards him, Adrian didn't realise and he also didn't care her actions as long as the shield was there. However, he overestimated himself because of the narrow victory he had against the flame fairy thereby lowering his guard.

The blue haired fairy's needles were like micro projectiles. They thrust through the ice shield's protection and pierced the side of Adrian's throat. As he was unprepared, he was defenseless and didn't set up a defence ahead of time.

The ice shield held the first two needles while the third needle escaped seconds after, the entire ice shield exploded into shards.

"P...P...Poison" Adrian murmured as he held the pierced spot, a look of shock on his face. He didn't take too long before he fainted on the ground.

Nearly all of his blood had been sucked dry by the poisonous needle. After sucking up the blood, it froze his inner organs into crystals.

"Good job Ciara, take him to Aldos" the flame fairy known as Flynn said while smirking.

Adrian's head spun continuously as he tried to sustain his consciousness by all means. The moment after the needle pierced his throat, his mind began seeing blurring and distorted images of scenes from time past.

" Brother! No" Adrian murmured softly like a whisper while his mind wandered around these scenes.

He saw the enemies chasing his brother who was running to protect him. It was like it was happening all over again, history repeating itself strategically.

All of a sudden, a twitching noise erupted in his mind before it collapsed. His body stopped showing signs of activity following the poison's total penetration.

"It's a long time we've seen a human here. Who knows what he's up to this time hmph" Flynn sneered inwardly.

The fairies grabbed Adrian by the collar and headed westwards. It was unclear where they were headed to but from a distant, there was a huge ancient design tower.

The tower was the destination of the five fairies as they bore Adrian on the way there.
