Was it just luck?

They met at a very well known mall which had great facilities in it, various stores and huge buildings,

It did not feel like they were in a mall, it was more like a full state market, they began searching for the shoes once they upon entering.

Although it seemed like a new place to shyam raitha in the other hand had already done all the research online she had already collected all the data she needs for this date of theirs which to shyam is just a, shopping trip.

They soon found a shoe store in the upper floor and it was huge as if a mall inside a mall. They began finding the best fit for her once inside the store,

Very kind of shoe could be found in that store as if they were in a shoe manufacturing company and not a mall,

Many brands local or international, cheap or expensive and how can we forget luxurious,

That store had everything,

They kept browsing and browsing until one of the shoes cought raithas eye,

It was a mixture of red and white. She was looking at those like if she didn't buy it today her life would end right away.

" Do you like those ? It's not that expensive wanna buy ?!" Shyam said while getting closer to the shoes— to pick them up.

But raitha stopped him saying

" No, it's alright. Let's look at something else "

She said it in a casual way but her face was telling something else, her face had that emotional brightness which aquires when someone doesn't have enough money to buy something.

" I can buy it for you if you want ! "

He said with a cracking voice, his eyes were locked in her face his hands were holded tight and his heartbeat quickened.

" Really, but shouldn't you be spending your money on something that will value you? "

She said with her face looking aside, her heart wanted to say yes but her Brain told her to stop,

She was feeling multiple emotions at the same time.

" I mean, if I buy you this I am practically buying something is valuing me in a way "

They stood there silently waiting for someone to speak, but non of them could say a word, it almost felt like ten world has stopped and they were the first one ,

Suddenly shyam moved his arm picked up the shoe and went straight to the counter and bought it,

" I think we should head back home " shyam said with a silent voice as if it was encrypted for the rest of the world. Raitha wanted to say something but she couldn't, at the end she had to accept that shoe as a gift from shyam, a gift of friendship, the first step towards their romantic journey ahead,

" I just didn't, why ! Why am I like this, a perfect opportunity and i wasted it like a little kid, i knew it could increase our friendship better, but still, still i messed up everything, now he will hate me for sure "

Raitha cried all night that day thinking about what she had done today, thinking about how pathetic she is. Thinking about if shyam would ever talk to her after he had to buy something for someone who invited him, her mind was not thinking any positive things atall, and she has noone to tell it to, an alone bird trying to fly on her own.
