The Crown's Mundane

When Zillah woke, she was deep in thought about the test.

"I would have really died",

She wanted to get up, when she felt a hand around her waist.

She looked at her back, she saw alvah asleep.

She wanted to remove his hand, but then, she thought, "my final days are approaching".

She left his arm still around her waist and fell back asleep.

The next time she woke up, he was gone. She opened her eyes, looking around she saw no one.

Her mind was finally at ease, when something struck her, she remembered that she had give an explanation for what happened yesterday.

"I need to meet master".

She left the room just in case alvah comes, he wouldn't see her there.

She went to valley where she trains with Ghazan.

She stayed there till night, she refused to leave.

He will come eventually. Even if it's not today. She assured herself, hopefully.

Whilst she was asleep, unexpectedly she woke up, Ghazan still wasn't present.

Two days had passed, she was still there.

Alvah had visited but she wasn't around.

The second night, she was asleep when she felt his presence, she woke up quickly looking around.

He moved his hands through her hair, she turned around.

"Master",

she hugged him blissfully

"You made it".

She nodded as a response

"Did alvah find out about your power?"....

"Yes!".

"He said that I owe him an explanation, so I stayed away from home just to avoid him".

"I was waiting for you, to ask what to do".

"Zillah you said earlier to me, you don't want to get in involved trying to explain to him, I'll do it myself".

"You'll meet him?"

"Yes!,... you will bring him here, at anytime, I'll be here waiting".

"Okay"

"Phew, it's a good thing you came out today because I didn't know how long I would've stayed away from him".

Ghazan smiled zealously.

"I'll stay with you for the night".

"No!...,You've been here for days you should go back and rest".

"No thank you.., she said lying down to sleep".

She slept without waking up, till the next morning.

She found herself on her bed the next day. She went into the bathroom, minutes after she came out.

She sat on the bed, she was contemplating since she woke up, how she would get alvah to come here.

"And he warned me not to go to Tartarus".

"I know, I'll go during the evening".

It was a risky decision but she had to do it. "It's just to call him and leave, It can't be that dangerous".

She waited patiently till evening.

Alvah was resting his eyes, facing the ceiling when he heard a knock on the door.

"Who is it?", he asked lazily.

"It's thana".

Unlike him, he wasn't furious about her visit.

"but he didn't reply to her".

Thana opened the door.

Saying nothing, alvah wondered what she was up to. He lifted up his body to look at her when he felt dizzy and was short of breath.

Thana's eyes were black and shady, she looked dangerous.

She has been angry about the fact that Alvah has a mate it provoked her for a long time now that she intended to kill alvah with one of her skill, "soul's death".

Her dark eyes were on him.

His veins were showing on his head and neck, he struggled to breathe, same time bearing a sharp stab in his heart.

Zillah slowly fell down to the ground, she wonders what makes alvah feel this kind of pain.

Ravana had seen his sister walking towards alvah's room earlier so he followed after her.

Opening the door, thana don't...The moment she looked at him, it switched to him instantly.

Having direct eye contact with her brother, he passed out.

Alvah was released.

Brother she shouted, she walked closer to him holding his hand, still looking at him.

After a while,

Zillah had gained herself and so did alvah.

He quickly appeared at thana's back and covered her eyes.

"Let me go", she shouted.

"What you are doing is not helping". Alvah knew well that her eye contact is the reason why her brother is unconscious.

Before she could turn her head to look at alvah, he pushed her face and covered her eyes again.

He ordered, "Go get azazel".

"Okay"

she left. Alvah carried ravana to the bed, his eyes were evil black.

Azazel walked in with her.

Alvah thought how azazel wasn't affected until when he ordered thana to call the paramedic without looking at her.

When the man arrived, he too was avoiding eye contact with her but the girl kept looking at her brother.

Alvah walked to her and covered her eyes.

"What is wrong with you", she shouted.

"You're making things worse for your brother" azazel shouted, still not looking at her.

"I had warned you not to use this skill yet but you wouldn't listen"

"Did Azazel train her on this skill",

Alvah asked himself looking at Azazel suspiciously. "how did he survive then?"

"I'm missing out"

"The boy is struggling to survive, it's up to him now".

"If he can't make it, he will die". The doctor said.

"He's struggling to survive, surely it's me he's living for. I should have let her to keep staring at him, he would've died sooner".

"Zillah this is your fault".

He confidently blamed this on her because he feels his heart became weak. Obviously she is influencing him

His pulse is reducing the doc said after checking his wrist.

"Brother",

thana said looking at him so scared.

Alvah thought, "this girls power comes once in every generation. It'll be a threat to Elysian if she perfects it".

"Surely If this power was in the hands of another, it would be even more useful",

Azazel thought.

They both looked at her.

After a few minutes of standing, the infernal doc announced, he's out of danger.

But thana you,... Azazel warned. The girl couldn't look at him.

"Go and rest".

"No!"...

she refused, I want to see his eyes open first.

"Alvah will report to you when he is fine, now go and meditate. Your eyes are probably still dark".

He guessed and they were still dark.

Thana left.

Azazel sighed.

Ravana woke up sweating, and holding his chest. He looked around he was in alvah's room.

"You're safe okay", azazel said calming him down

Alvah couldn't stop smiling at his condition.

He glared at him

Alvah killed his smile and glared back.

"I have two reasons to visit him now"

Zillah said after lots of thinking.

She teleported to his room only to see three pairs of eyes looking at her as if they knew she was coming.

Which of course they sensed her.

She froze, but not for long, she disappeared

Azazel and ravana looked at Alvah suspiciously.

Alvah was surprised,..despite his warning.

He looked at them,

"Pest".., he said shaking his head in disappointment

Ahhh, azazel and ravana made a sigh of relief

"Your sister is worried", alvah told him.

He reported to ravana to go meet her instead of reporting to her.

Ravana left the room to go meet his sister.

"Is she really bothering",

Azazel asked.

Alvah looked at him, "yes"

I can't feel your pain azazel said tapping alvah's shoulder and left the room.

"Zillah",... he called her name,

He appeared in her room. She was already looking scared.

She said with a low voice,

"I'm sorry I didn't expect all of you to be present at the time".

"It's okay"...

She was still looking at him intensely.

"Why are you staring at me",

"You said if I ever get caught you couldn't cover for me"

"So..."

"So did you cover for me?"...

"Doesn't matter, you owe me"

"Okay"...

"No you owe me, an explanation"

"Oh Okay about that, I do have an explanation".

"But first,...he interrupted,

who are you meeting?"

"Meeting, I..I'm not meeting,...yes I'm meeting someone".

she didn't see why she should lie when he is already going to meet him.

"I have a guess, but I want to be sure, his name starts with G".

"You already know who he is, come with me".

she teleported with him to the valley.
