Chapter 21: Tipping

Yana coquettishly said, "Ryan, with such a good atmosphere, how about we drink some wine?"

"Sure, something with a little alcohol content is fine."

Ryan was easygoing and honestly didn't care about what he drank.

"What should we drink?"

Yana was still looking at the wine list when Ryan pointed to a bottle and said, "This bottle is beautiful, let's have this one!"

The waiter paused and hesitated before replying, "Sir, please wait a moment. This wine is our store's treasure, I need to ask our boss for permission."

"50,000!"

Yana gasped and covered her mouth in surprise.

The Remy Martin Louis XIII Jeroboam 3L was a rare wine and could be considered something truly extravagant.

Soon, the waiter and manager arrived, and the manager excitedly asked, "Sir, are you sure you want to open this classic commemorative Louis XIII?"

"Open it!"

Ryan replied casually.

"Okay, it will be ready for you soon!"

The manager, knowing that the rich man in front of him had recharged one million, didn't hesitate at all.

"Ryan, this is so expensive!"

Yana was shocked and whispered.

Ryan, usually tongue-tied, rarely opened up, imitating a classic scumbag quote from the internet: "Every dish and every bottle of wine here only has value if you taste them."

Yana was so moved that her eyes sparkled with tears, her heart racing as she looked at the man in front of her. If it weren't for the crowd, she would have really wanted to rush over and kiss him.

"Ma'am, it's better for you to sit opposite, it's more convenient for you to eat!"

The manager kindly reminded her.

Yana immediately sat down opposite, and the manager stood by, suggesting, "If you need to take photos, we can provide professional equipment."

"Okay, thank you!"

Yana agreed without hesitation.

On the other side, Tina was happily taking photos of her food, savoring the beautifully plated dishes.

Kaiden gave a 100 dollar tip and secretly grabbed the menu from Ryan's table. Tina frowned when she saw it, saying, "Did you grab the wrong one?"

Kaiden replied firmly, "No, I confirmed with him multiple times; it's definitely the menu from their table."

"What's the issue? Did they order two servings of seafood fried rice? That would be too embarrassing."

Tina looked confused, handing it over, saying, "No, it's possible they got the wrong one. How could they order such expensive dishes?"

The Poisson et frites alone costs 1,600 dollars, and the Pan-seared foie gras is even more expensive at 2,400 dollars...

This menu adds up to nearly 30,000 dollars. Kaiden furrowed his brows and said, "That's impossible. Yana's family might be okay, but it's impossible for them to spend this much."

"Just to piss you off, they spent that much money???"

Even Tina didn't believe the reason when she said it out loud.

Kaiden put down the order, sneered, and said, "It's fine, we'll see how they end up. They've ordered so much, they'll be paying off this debt for the rest of their lives."

"Daring to eat a free meal at the Sky Garden? They definitely won't have a good outcome."

As they spoke, they couldn't help but look over. The first dish served was Pan-seared foie gras.

The other dishes were all time-consuming, but Pan-seared foie gras, though labor-intensive and using precious ingredients, was prepared every day and was served the fastest.

At first glance, Tina felt annoyed.

The manager was standing by, serving, personally ladling the soup into their bowls with great attentiveness.

Yana was taking photos, and there were actually two service staff holding a lighting board and bringing special lighting. This was a setup unique in the entire restaurant.

Seeing this, Tina's face immediately fell, and she felt that the food in front of her no longer tasted good.

Kaiden also said, his face darkened, "Waiter, come here!"

The waiter quickly approached and said, "Hello, sir, how may I assist you?"

Kaiden pointed to the other table and sternly asked, "What's going on over there? Are you shooting some kind of commercial?"

The waiter shook his head and replied, "No, sir. Those are two distinguished guests dining. They wanted to take pictures, so we provided the corresponding service."

Tina immediately said, "I want to take pictures too. Get two people to help me."

"Sorry, we can provide lighting boards and lamps, but you will need to operate them yourselves."

The waiter shook his head again.

When Kaiden heard this, he was absolutely furious, saying, "Why do they get special treatment?"

The waiter quickly responded, "It's like this. Mr. Ryan signed a one-thousand dollar tip for each of my colleagues, and he signed a five-thousand dollar tip for our manager."

The waiter spoke with admiration. Occasionally, there might be tips of fifty or a hundred dollars, but one thousand is the highest tip, and a five-thousand tip for the manager is also a lot.

Tina's face became even darker upon hearing this.

The meal package priced at 2,000 was already considered luxurious for college students.

She never expected that the tip Mr. Ryan gave the waiter was actually more expensive than the meal they had together.

Immediately, she felt the salmon she had just eaten was smelly, the oysters were sour, and even the grilled king crab legs in front of her had a strange odor.

Kaiden's eyes widened in disbelief, gritting his teeth and saying, "You're paid to do your job, and yet you accept tips to treat customers differently? I'll file a complaint against you!"

Upon hearing this, the waiter's expression turned cold. He replied, "Sir, the way to file a complaint is at the bar. Please help yourself if you need anything."

"According to our company's regulations, we cannot actively request tips from customers. If we're found doing so, we will be immediately fired."

"However, if the service attitude is appreciated by the guests, the tips are shared among everyone, and the company will also praise the employees."

"If there's nothing else, I won't disturb you two from enjoying your meal."

With that, the waiter turned and walked away.
